We loved everything about this gem. My sister and I were in town and so glad we found this place…read moreoff the beaten path. We were pleasantly surprised to see it sits right on the water. Once you enter, fresh cinnamon rolls are being made in front of you. It's counter service and everyone was so nice and helpful. They give you a whimsical item to place on your table (we got a wooden birdhouse) and that's how they identify your table as they bring the food out. We had the protein bowl and Avo toast. And of course a cinnamon bun. Loved everything we ordered. Super cozy place that looked like a local favorite.

You order first then find a table but if it's busy find a table first then order if someone can order while the other waits. We ordered the chicken and the egg sandwich, wagu beef sandwich side of fries and faro salad. I was mistakenly charged for 2 chicken sandwiches ( waiting for credit to post ) but regardless it's nyc prices. Bill came to $70+ which is expensive. The food was excellent but for $18 you would think you would get at least one side ( fries or salad) for that price. The fries are $7 which again it's not a big town but charge high prices. It was a Monday lunch time service and our food took about 30 minutes to arrive which is long - I think they were overwhelmed and the staff was small - which is why it took so long. I understand it's a small college town but I'm not sure I would come back. Again the food is excellent quality wise but not sure it's worth it.

I asked about how sweet the acai bowl is since I cannot eat too much sugar and she just shrugged her shoulders. I asked about protein powder options and ingredients of the bowl and she said she doesn't know. When I got my bowl, it was small and the acai berries were frozen and not blended well because I'd bite onto a whole chunk of berry covered in ice, unpleasant. Not planning to come back and will never recommend this place.

My friend and I visited yesterday 09/30/2025 for her birthday lunch as she is "Vegan and gluten…read morefree" and this looked perfect. It was perfect!!!!! The whole experience was a 10 out of 10. Excellent delicious and healthy organic soup for lunch with a peanut noodle salad, and of course a slice of banana, chocolate, nut bread. The gentleman who took our order delivered our food to our table with a smile. We talked about our lunch experience the rest of the day. Can't wait to go back. Thank you so much, Dena & Erika

Civilized Dining ++…read more Ambiance is gentile yet casual dining inside a nearly 2 century old inn with wall papers and coffered ceilings. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and are open to the public. Often they have live music in their DR. It felt airy with the door to the porch / Main St. open and a perfect NE summer afternoon. My parents come here regularly but I've never eaten here so today (generally I'm not a fan of eating at hotel restos) we decided to lunch before heading to the Co-Op. ++. Food is pub fare and their variety is wide enough that everyone can find something including vegans. We ordered their 1/2lb. burgers medium rare. Mine with lemon pepper onion rings and my mom had their salad as added sides. Both burgers came out with perfect temp and delicious sides! The buns were toasted which was a nice touch. The onion rings were crispy yet soft and not greasy :). Their garlic aioli was smooth and not overwhelming. Thought the burger would be too big but we both finished our burgers :)). ++. Service was prompt, knowledgeable and attentive! Our server Nox was awesome! +. Price was reasonable for the quality, quantity and for vT. The quality and service are much better than 2Bros. +. Parking is shared private lot. It's a bit tricky so go slowly on the round about... go straight into "the private lot" by the Blue H (hospital) sign. Walk between the 2 buildings and go left to enter the Middlebury Inn. Overall, I'm impressed with my first meal at Morgan's Tavern! The burger was solid. It's been added to my VT circulation especially since BobCat closed. (P.S.) MT is on Resy. MY RATINGS - - - Inhumane - - Disgusted - Don't bother = Missed the Mark +.
