September 10, 2026…read more Dear Cabot Cheese People, Cabot Cheese used to stand for something: a cooperative in Vermont that sounded darn near utopian to me, with happy milk farmers getting together and making a quality product. Indeed, the product used to be great. I remember getting your cheddar that was crumbly and had the tang that only sharp cheddar has. I could count on Cabot in the past to live up to its reputation as an honest and delicious cheese. I have done zero research on the Cabot Creamery and I am not going to. Maybe the same farmers are still running the place. But somehow I doubt it, because recently I bought some Cabot Extra-Sharp Cheddar and it was about as sharp as a butter knife. And the texture? To borrow from Pete Seeger, where has your crumbly cheese gone? The texture was strangely rubbery--hell, your cheddar gives Velveeta a run for its money. In short, your product sucks. This proud company has gone down the drain of greed and B.S.  Do you think the public doesn't notice--that we just stuff our faces and never actually taste things? You might be surprised. If you replace the good with the mediocre, folks will eventually catch on to your scrimping. You really can't fake quality, try though you will. Cabot Cheese: You are a great disappointment to me. I shall never buy another Cabot product. And I am telling all my friends not to as well.  Sincerely, William Minifie 446 East 86th Street NY Ny 10028 whminifie@gmail.com

Rating: 4.5 Came to…read morestopped by for maple creemee which a must try staples of VT and NH. This was one location that had good rating and was on the way to our next destination. It's a small local shop that offers maple creemee as well as other desserts, maple syrups and gifts. They have parking lot in the back which is shared with a furniture shop. They also have portable restroom in the back if you need to use the restroom which is hard to find in the area. The inside is small and has few gifts like maple syrup and some cups. The price on the gifts were bit pricy. We ended up getting maple cheese cake slice and maple creemee with waffle cone to share. The cheese cake was good but i didn't quite taste much of maple syrup flavor. Maple creemee was good as i remember when i had them in NH. Creamy, sweet and has that distinct maple syrup flavor. The staff were nice and service was quick. Overall it's a good place to stop for maple creemee if you are in the area.
