Grilled Atlantic Salmon with grilled asparagus and jalapeno creamed corn
    Jessica O.

My husband and I like eating here on occasion. We live a bit north of town, but enjoy driving into Ada for food, drinks, and shopping. The times we've been to the Garage Bar and Grill have been nice. The service is ok. Our food and drinks have always come out as ordered, though sometimes the waitstaff is pretty disinterested. I appreciate the touches of the decor that fit the garage theme, without going overboard. Its fun, but no too kitschy. And I like how much natural light there is. Last time we were here I ordered the grilled Atlantic salmon with asparagus and jalapeno creamed corn. It was quite good! The Asian ginger glaze on the salmon was a nice add, though interesting as a combo with the jalapeno creamed corn. My husband ordered the Prime Philly sandwich. Also quite good, though don't expect to pick it up like a sandwich. They are generous with the filling. I'm sure we will continue to eat here. The food and drink selection has something for everyone, the food is pretty good quality, and I like the atmosphere.

Cute little place with garage doors and outside seating too. We ordered the mozzarella sticks that were so fantastic. Seriously the best I've ever had! My olive burger was good, but there weren't and visible green olives in the burger. Fries were average. Full bar and TVs Service was good/average I would definitely go back.

Let us dine as 13 year olds no parents weren't mean or suspicious, yall already know we got the tenders, 10/10 fry's well seasoned. The vibe was there everyone cared for us and was very nice. Perfect outdoor seating for warm weather, Took 7 minutes to get them from ordering it was delicious. 5 also random dude yelling at cars in his bike in the road

Great experience, food, and service! I had low expectations going in. This place has been open for awhile and always seems busy (looking from the outside). I heard it was typical bar food so I it wasn't really on my list to check out. It was 4:00 on a Wednesday and we were in the area so we decided to give it a try. Sign said to seat yourself. There were a few tables open in the main area, and another room back around the corner. Seats at the bar and patio seating if the weather warms up. A server came by to greet us with menus. She was attentive to refill waters, let us in know when the food was coming out, and checked on us a few times. It was the perfect amount of attention- never needing to look for her when needed and didn't feel rushed or like we were just another table. The Paloma was fine to good. Not bad, not great. The Tajin (salt, lime, chili) and salt rim was a nice addition. The Brisket Sandwich was really good. Tender, and not too much BBQ sauce. The coleslaw on top had no flavor at all. Just good to add a crunchy texture. The pretzel bun was SOFT and toasted. Pleasant surprise bc pretzel buns tend to be dense. The fries seem homemade. A little greasy. Lots of burger choices. Did a Build Your Own Burger (BYOB) for my daughter. She ate the entire thing! Fantastic onion rings! Nice and crispy but not too oily or too battered. Came with a sriracha mayo type of sauce. I am a Chicken & Waffles connoisseur. I'm always wary when it's chicken tenders...I was pleasantly surprised! It was like a beer-batter and the chicken was hot and so tender/juicy! The maple waffles are sweet on their own so you don't really need syrup for them, but the waffle is a little dry on its own. I love that it's a hearty waffle. The size, texture, and flavor remind me of the waffles used at BIGGBY in their maple waffle breakfast sandwiches Bonus: The thick-cut bacon was delicious and a welcomed addition! Next time, I will say "no butter" as it comes as liquified butter (like you're eating a lobster). Perhaps that would have made the waffle less dry, but I would rather skip those calories! I could see this as a local bar that people frequent. I would prefer if people serving food didn't have their midriffs showing... Not on top of my list but I would bring the family back and try more things in the menu. Parking: Street parking (no meters) or if you go left at the gas station behind the restaurant, there is a Township Hall public parking lot. There is also a lot behind the stores across the street, or further down the road around the Ada library.

Polish special! - Two sausages, one with pepper and onion, the other with kraut Hoagies were really good and fresh. Sausage was juicy and flavorful. Pepper and onions were sautéed perfectly. I've never had sautéed kraut before but it was really good. I feel like these needed a little something extra on them though, perhaps a sauce like Mudpenny was doing. The fries were pretty bland but the texture was ok. Everything smelled amazing though. And yes I ate this whole thing in my car while it rained lol. Not a bad meal but I wouldn't come back here again. Bonus points for not being insanely overpriced (only $15).

Sports bar atmosphere with typical bar food that's maybe slightly above average. The servers were friendly and quick to take care of us throughout our meal. The food arrived very quickly which is usually great but we only had our appetizer for a few minutes. This caused the table to get very crowded but not a huge deal. The nachos were delicious and massive. It was enough for us to all share which is exactly what we wanted. The Buffalo chicken wrap was very good as well and I asked for a side of ranch to balance the spice. I enjoyed the fries and thought they were crispy and seasoned very nicely. Our only real complaint was that a few things came out to us rather dirty. The roll of shop towels (their paper towels) looked like someone touched them with dirty hands, the small plates didn't look very clean, and our water glasses had something on them from the bar. Great addition to downtown Ada that will probably be packed daily.

Love the indoor outdoor feel to this place and it's actually huge once you get inside! We came here before the rush around 2pm so we could bring our baby and it was a perfect time to come. I wanted everything on their menu so will have to come back soon but we had the fried pickles, burger, and the Philly cheese steak. What I REALLY want to try next is their Nashville hot chicken sandwhich and drunken Mac n cheese.

The food is delicious but the service isn't that great! We chose to check it out around 4p on a Saturday and the place was busy! No wait time but still pretty busy! The menu was small but had lots of great options! Sad to see no kids menu, but they had lots of kid friendly options! We chose to try the cheese curds and they were some of the best we've ever had! We tried the Mac and cheese and the chicken tenders and they both were great! Portion are huge, definitely could've split between 2 people! Overall great food, lots of drink options! Service wasn't very responsive, no refills, or check ins, had to flag down for bill and boxes, however, we'll definitely be back for more cheese curds!

Met someone for a business meeting recently at the new Ada Garage Bar & Grill. What a neat place with great views out onto the sidewalks/streets. Placed right on a busy corner in "downtown" Ada, this former old brick business/house has turned into an interesting place to gather. After having lunch here, I'm wondering if Ada Garage Bar & Grill is more a place to meet friends for a drink in the evening than a meal. I need to come back and order some other items on the menu to complete that thought - and I will. My associate ordered the brisket sandwich which turned out to be pulled/maybe overcooked brisket. I guess the menu did not say Texas style smoked brisket. There wasn't a hint of smoke flavoring on this sandwich. Just a heads up if you're thinking of ordering this item. He gave the lunch a "it was good, not great." I ordered the Charleston salad with chicken and thought it was alright. The chicken didn't have noticeable seasoning or anything to grab my attention. The bacon bits were hard to find. Overall a bit underwhelming. I would grade it as a basic salad that you probably wouldn't recommend to a friend. Not bad - not exceptional. Service was professional and the venue seems legit. If you're sitting at the bar watching a game or placed at a table looking outside with friends and drinks, you'd probably rate this place a bit higher. Also, there is a little bit of outside seating when the weather turns warm. That'll be nice (I think). A bit close to the street? Looking forward to a return trip.

This is a restaurant and bar with simulator bays. How fun!…read more Most simulators are set up for just golf but I saw other sports equipment in other bays, so they may have some throwing style games as well. You can eat, drink, and play golf - you can do it all or you can do just one. However, if you plan on playing golf / using a simulator bay, you should call or go online and make a reservation. It gets busy there. I love that they have seasonal cocktails. They had some special ones for st Patrick's day. They also have happy hour M-F from 2-6pm. I booked a bay, it charges per 30 min. The hour was $65. I had one cocktail. I got a briefing on the system and I was on my way to playing a very difficult golf course in South Korea. They have club upgrades but I stuck with the standard bag. I had a great time. Next time I will choose an easier golf course! Also, I believe the server calculates their tip not only on what you buy but also your bay time. So I'll review my check a little closer next time. The sell golf gloves if you need one/forgot yours. There is a small parking lot next to the building or you can park on the street or garage nearby. Bathrooms are on all levels. Fun place. I'll be back.

Glad to be proven wrong! It's greasy-ish bar food at the end of the day, but the happy hour specials were really affordable and the food was very good. Fries were seasoned well, chicken tenders were crispy, and the poutine was done well too. Very beige plates all around though. Golf simulator side of things was awesome. They've got ones with extra sports too so you can play t-ball, pitch, throw a football, kick a field goal, play hockey, or kick a soccer ball on a penalty kick. You can bring your own clubs and practice as well. Very cool experience, very spacious, and perfect for birthday parties for kids who like sports or late night group activities that isn't bowling. Super spacious too with two bars both upstairs and downstairs. Very cool and unique spot downtown!

Bob's Bar served tater tots with garlic herb cheese curds, house made beef gravy, green onion, and bacon bits. It was great! Felt like it was pretty much what you would want out of a poutine dish. I also got the Chicago dogs which is on their normal menu and these were tasty. I had been craving a Chicago style hot dog for a while and these hit the spot. They got all the toppings right. Especially loved the sport peppers. The basket is served with potato chips. There was some sort of alcohol rep there when we were there and he was handing out free drinks and samplings/shots of alcohol that were on the house so that was a nice surprise! Another nice thing about Bob's bar is their parking! They have a lot that is dedicated only to their customers right across Harlan Ave. Otherwise there is side street parking. Nate and I stopped in last month to grab a snack and catch an MSU basketball game. It was also Super Bowl Sunday, so it was pretty busy even though it was mid-afternoon. We took a table near the door and had a good view of several TVs. The bar is pretty cozy, so it can get a little crowded. A server came over right away and took our order. I got the spicy dry rub wings and Nate ordered the buffalo chicken rangoons. The food took quite a bit of time to come out, but they were pretty busy with a couple large groups. The wings were excellent! I'd had their regular wings before, but the spicy dry rub was really flavorful with a bit of heat. I liked that it wasn't overly salty like some dry rubs I've had elsewhere. The wings themselves were crispy and juicy. The buffalo chicken rangoons were just okay. The filling was pretty sparse and they were a little tough. We'd definitely get the wings again. Note that they give a small discount if you pay in cash. Bob's Sports Bar is a low key neighborhood hangout spot to watch a game or catch up with friends. They have Keno, pull tabs, Chambongs, and daily food and drink specials. There's plenty of free street parking nearby and they have a designated parking lot across the street.
