We were very pleasantly greeted by the hostess downstairs - she deserves a raise! So kind and polite. Upstairs, we were shocked at how dead it was for Tigers Opening Day! We ordered a variety of drinks and food, husband was very happy with the whiskey/bourbon options. I wasn't a fan of the lemon drop martini, but that's a personal preference. Of the food at the table, I tried the cheese curds and ordered the Burrata and Grilled Peach Salad. The salad was tasty, but the PEARS on the salad (not peaches which typically get soft and gooey and caramelized when grilled, which is what I was hoping for), were cold as could be - it was almost like they didn't have peaches and just said the heck with it, we are going to throw these under-ripe, cold pears on it instead. Otherwise, everyone seemed very happy with their food and service (although they only had one server on). It's a great space, I can't wait to check out the rooftop this summer. read more

I still need to go back and try the food, but Nate and I recently stopped by for a couple drinks on the rooftop deck. Luckily it wasn't too busy and we were able to snag a spot at the bar. I started with the pink skies (strawberry infused vodka, mint simple, lemonade, soda) and Nate got the rockin' rye (vanilla whiskey, dark cherry liqueur, rock & rye shrub, soda). These draft cocktails were tastier than I was expecting - the pink skies wasn't overly sweet, and the rockin' rye really tasted like the pop. Then I noticed the slushie machines so we had to try one of each - a pina colada and a frozen watermelon lemonade. The pina colada was okay, certainly not the best one I've had but it did the trick. The watermelon lemonade was really delicious! The views from the deck are cool and I'd love to come back again. They have their own spirits, which I would be interested in trying by themselves, live music (mostly country from what I can tell), events, and Sunday brunch, which I really need to try. read more

I've gone here a couple of times recently and stumbled upon their Tuesday night trivia. The vibes are pretty chill, we usually sit at the bar, and the bartenders are always super friendly! If you do not want to be distracted by trivia though, I don't recommend going at 7pm on Tuesdays. The drinks are pretty decent, I've gotten a mule but usually stick with a basic tequila soda and lime, and the pours are decent! Plus the cost given it's on Bridge Street and the vibes are pretty good. They have live music there and I do enjoy the fact that it's open air for the rooftop vibes. I do look forward to trying their food at some point and seeing how that is, but for drinks? You definitely can't go wrong! read more

We absolutely loved this spot! We had so much fun and I wish we could have stayed longer. This was just a scheduled spot on the way home so we were on a time crunch. Most of the drinks are super unique in that you choose the drink but you also get to choose which flavor liquor you would like. For example, the espresso martini gave you a choice of bourbon flavors. I chose the peppermint mocha and it was absolutely delicious! It was so delicious that I bought a bottle of the peppermint mocha bourbon to take home. I also bought a bottle of the peach bourbon because I love peach everything. We loved the bartender who was super helpful! The location was large and has a tasting area in the middle. They offer tastings for a very reasonable price. I absolutely recommend doing the tasting so that you can choose the type of liquor you'd like to take with you. I'm home now having some peppermint mocha bourbon in my coffee. Definitely recommend checking it out. read more

I was nervous heading in because of how quiet it was on a Sunday, but my fears were quickly assuaged upon meeting the friendly service team and talking through the menu. We ended up ordering a brisket platter with the apple kale slaw, garlic herb redskin potatoes, and cornbread. There are several sauce choices available and we elected for House (a tasty choice), Bama (flavorful and mayonnaise-based), and Cherry (sweet and my personal favorite). We also got a cheddar biscuit included and I was so glad it was as it really hit the spot. The brisket melted in our mouths and the potatoes were quite delicious, but the real winner in my book was the apple kale slaw which I am already craving just a few hours after eating... This was my first time here - my husband really likes their wings so I figured it was worth a try. I like the space - it's the old harmony hall so there is plenty of room (they have 3 floors) although for lunch, just the main floor was open. I found it odd that they didn't have any music playing until halfway through our meal, it felt a little quiet. The menu is broken down into an apps section, smoked meats and sides and then sliders. I ordered the chicken & dumpling soup and a chicken salad slider (they are pretty big). The chicken salad was really good with the smoked chicken they used - the bun was dry, probably should have used a different carrier. The chicken & dumpling soup was okay. I think it was a bit thicker than expected and the chicken skin was in the soup so that was a little unappetizing. My husband got a wing platter with the redskin potatoes and a cheddar biscuit. At first glance, the biscuit looked burnt but i think they actually smoked it; we weren't a fan. The potatoes had a texture like they were previously frozen; overly mushy. My husband ordered a cream soda (made in house) but it didn't have enough carbonation. He then ordered a rockin rye drink but he didn't like it; he said it was too strong. I think it was too sweet. It's going to take some elevated menu items to get people to come here. There is a lot of competition and I don't think I'd find myself going back for anything. read more

For a brand-new spot, Rapid River Stillhouse runs like a well established restaurant. The space is used so well, and I can't wait to come back in the summer to soak up the patio vibes. Now, onto the important stuff--the whiskey espresso martini was insanely good, and the brisket bites didn't stand a chance against my hunger. The burger was solid--not the best I've ever had, but still really enjoyable. And surprisingly, the drinks weren't ridiculously overpriced, which I always appreciate. We also caught some live music, which was a fun touch. If as if I hadn't already been a little too committed to my cocktails, we went all in on the $8 whiskey tasting (which, yes, included a tip--because we always take care of our service workers in this house). The food was terrible. I feel like it has potential to be something great....maybe better ingredients? Or better cooking techniques? The drinks are also very bad. We had meatloaf pops...and I get them coming out in meatball form for the "pop" but it was so dense and didn't taste like meatloaf, it was also cold. A fun rooftop spot! I tried a couple draft cocktails, which were all delicious. My husband had a couple whiskey/bourbon drinks, which were pretty good too. Don't get the tequila, it's ROUGH. We also had pickled deviled eggs, which were fine, but maybe I just prefer unpickled eggs lol. Service is mostly at the bar on the rooftop unless you're getting food (I think?) but the servers we interacted with were kind. The views were great and worth a visit along! Finally got the family here and this is our new favorite hang downtown. Drinks are exceptional and the food is awesome!! The four of us got different sliders with a variety of sides and everything was great! I definitely recommend the hot chicken sliders. Service was awesome and the roof top deck is super cool. This review is based off my second visit to RRS - the first visit was back in Oct when they had just opened and we had a terrible experience (they served two kids raw chicken tenders and a whole slew of other issues). We wanted to give them another try since they have had 6 months to work out kinks. This visit, we were impressed and would definitely return. We came in at 11:30 on a Saturday AM. Only the downstairs was open at that time. We had 13 of us and they were happy to accomodate us all and put some tables together. Sam was our server and he did a great job. I was a little unimpressed that they only have two beers on tap on the first floor. Upstairs has all their other beer. They do have a decent cocktail list with some of them being on tap, as well. No NA beers. We had a bunch of apps and they were all awesome. Came out fast and everything tasted delish. The grilled cornbread was sinful! I had the cesar salad last time so I opted for the grilled peach and burrata salad this time and OMG so good! I literally cleaned my plate. One of our meals was either not rung in or was forgot, but they got it out quickly once we asked about it. It didn't get super busy, so it was a nice spot to chill on a Saturday early afternoon. I really look forward to being able to hand out on one of the decks when the weather gets warmer! Also, huge kudos for removing the pay to park in the parking lot! read more

I came here with a group of 9 friends at around 8pm on a Friday night. The first floor has dining tables and a whiskey tasting area; we sat here since we wanted a late dinner and a few drinks, and it didn't start to fill up in this area until closer to 9:30pm. The second floor also has dining tables and high top tables, and a live music stage is set up there (mainly country music); we were given about a 45 minute wait time on this floor so we opted for the first floor for that reason too. The third floor is more of a "lounge" with a bar too; the walls are pretty bare, there's a large TV, and at least when I was there, it was mainly an older crowd; my friends and I said it seemed like a space for a small holiday party. I think there's rooftop access on both the 2nd and 3rd floors. Vibes are cute; I was told it's a "Nashville style" bar which I hate that description but it is going for a country chic interior look. -1 star because of the service. Even on the less busy first floor, they seemed shortstaffed or had inefficient staff. Wait times for placing orders with the waitress/bartender were fairly long. Food was not a long wait to be ready, fortunately. But it made me wonder if the second floor drink service was even slower. I did enjoy the espresso martini, made with whiskey (we got a vanilla one, a cinnamon one, and a salted caramel one). The grape juice drink was a favorite among my friend group; it was just like a transfusion, which I enjoy! -1 star because of the food. Wish the appetizers included classic bar snacks like fried pickles or cheese curds. We did share deviled eggs (not pictured) that were pretty good but a lot of their items were overpriced (deviled eggs were $11 for 5 pieces). Most of us got sandwiches and we all agreed our sandwiches were lackluster; mostly bread, not very flavorful sandwich fillings despite the descriptions sounding appealing. My friend got the Big Cheese (grilled cheese) and the tomato soup on the side literally looked like tomato paste. My cuban was quite skimpy on the meat. I did like my friend's goat cheesecake, and another friend said the whole chicken wings were pretty good ($16). Overall, I like the concept of this place and it does "add something" to Bridge St. But a bit disappointed by the service and food quality; especially since the food is not super expensive, but not cheap either. I would not be quick to come back here unless it was part of a group outing again. read more

A tremendous view of downtown GR from the third floor patio. Our party of six on a Friday night had great service. Greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. LIVE music on the main floor but it was a beautiful night out and with the view we made the right choice. The drinks were great! From the Mule, the Old Fashioned, Rock-in Rye mixer, and the sangria - all excellent. Food came out fast and was spot on. I hope this place takes off. We went to Rapid River Stillhouse the first week that they opened, so we went in with a gracious and understanding mindset...but even then, the service was SO extremely poor. Our waitress wasn't attentive. She didn't bring us our appetizers; and forgot multiple times when we asked for various things. We ordered drinks, and only half of them were brought out while the other half were totally "a brain fart" in her words. She was apologetic, but at the end I requested to talk to the manager and she originally said no. I had to ask three times...and Brett, the manager, ended up coming to the table and lending a listening ear and comped us SOME of the meal, but if I was a manager, I would've given a much bigger discount. All and all, I likely won't be back here. The food wasn't that good. The service was less than mid. Drinks were over priced. Only plus is they had live music, which could be a nice perk - but me and my crew weren't there for that. read more

I love having a place in G-Rap that we can hear live music and enjoy a meal. Space is fun and a welcome addition to the area. It's early, so I'll assume things will improve. There was a two hour wait and when we finally were seated we were told the kitchen wasn't taking orders because they are swamped. We waited it out and when the kitchen wasn't taking back up, our food came really quickly. We loved the Brisket Pops!! So yummy. Three of us ordered the brisket sandwich and one got the salad with chicken. Overall food was meh. The sauce on the brisket was over dominating. The cocktails were great!!! My husband and I just ate brunch here and it was great! It was apparently their very first day doing brunch but the food and service was wonderful! We got the Nash Hash, Pat O 'Brian sandwich and the hot honey chicken waffles. All were delicious! They make their sausage patty in house and it's super thick and flavorful. 4 stars for Nashville vibes in GR! Very cool building with an excellent rooftop. We went on a Saturday night to check out live music and got the last table on the second floor. Of note - you still need to pay a $5 cover even if you are going an hour early before music. We had the grilled corn bread which was very unique and tasty and we each had a couple of drinks. Whiskey sour and old fashioned hit the spot. We will be back for more live music and to scope out the brunch situation! read more

Have been here a few times and it is underwhelming every time. The drinks and food are honestly not good. They do not have normal bar food and all the food was bland and the meats were dry. The house spirits are terrible and mixed drinks are like a toddler made them. Vibes are good, but everything feels like ChatGPT made their brand. Waitress was slow and would come to the table and leave right away. Brisket must've been cooked with hot sand. Needs better food, drinks, and service. The rooftop is nice in the summer and fall, but that's all this place has going for them. Also, as a sour cherry on top, they told us we have to remove our baby from the property at 9 pm. read more

Sorry not running back anytime soon! First off parking in their lot is 11$! This is wild as the other restaurants in this very location never charged for the lot park. I actually pulled out of a spot and parked on the street so I didn't have to pay, no other parking lot in this area is $11 and it was a Sunday afternoon. The service was sub par at best. The restaurant took so long to open you would think the servers would have been trained properly. The waitress only asked for half of the tables drinks and 2 of the guest literally had to ask over 5 times for the beer and root beer they ordered. We placed an order of wings for the table and the waitress said that she didn't know if they had any left because her tablet would not allow her to add wings. After seeing wings come out to multiple tables, we asked again, she said she would have to check after asking multiple times if she checked, we finally got to order wings. Our meals came out before the wings. The restaurant was not full for us to be asking multiple times for things. We had to get our own silverware and napkins from the wait station. The waitress would come to the table and then just abruptly leave. We ordered multiple things. The brisket pops came out cold. We ordered two children's meals of chicken fingers that literally came out raw and we had to send them back. So two children sat while everybody had their food and they were not offered any potato chips or anything to have while they waited. The beer was warm. To compensate for all the issues we had they offered us two desserts for a table of 12. Which was unacceptable and they still had to pay for the meals of raw chicken. The manager never came and checked on the table after serving raw chicken two children. The tomato soup with the grilled cheese sandwich was more like a marinara sauce than a soup. You would definitely not eat it with a spoon. They did not have cups for kids or a children's printed menu either. Overall terrible experience not going back. It seemed they put more effort into the swag you can purchase than an actual restaurant experience. read more

T Went to try this out with my aunt after doing some shopping downtown. I had a maple bacon drink called the morning man. I can see if charm and appeal to many. However, for my taste it was far too sweet.. I tried another drink, a double bourbon neat. That was super smooth and tasty. We ordered the brisket lollipops. The brisket was fall apart tender and melt in your mouth... balanced perfectly with the pickled red onion and corn cream.The jalapeño was a nice pop of heat as well. We also ordered the grilled cornbread. The cherry onion jam is so good. The smoke and grill flavor was nice too. This is how you do cornbread. We had ella as our server.. she was very attentive and had a great personality. Great work. Highly recommend this place to anyone , you will not be disappointed at all. The four of us came in for dinner and drinks was greeted very poorly by a private security officer who was not friendly then went directly to the third floor. There was no hostess at the stand. This was our first time so we walked out onto the rooftop and went to take a empty table across the bar, and the the hostess showed up insisted that we walk all the way back across the bar down the stairs into the other room where the host stand is before we could sit down at a table, which I found odd then we were seated at the same table, we were planning on sitting at originally when our server showed up she immediately informed us if we wanted water that there was a self service station at the bar. I immediately ordered four glasses of tequila and before I could get the order out of my mouth the bartender said oh no, you don't wanna drink our tequila. I said why not she said because it's horrible so we ordered lemon drops after serving myself and the rest of the table with water from the self service station we drink our shots and immediately exited the vicinity. Applebee vibes. I have no doubt in my mind that this business will be closing soon. This place was empty for a reason .. being someone who has worked in the industry over 20 years everything about this place is wrong.. good luck on the block.. read more

I really wanted to like this place, but for $17, this was a total letdown. The sandwich was literally just uncooked slices of cheese on super fluffy bread--no melt, no flavor, nothing satisfying. The soup was completely over-spiced and had a weird smell that made it hard to even try. I also got the garlic aioli, which was oddly sweet and just... gross. Visited a couple months after opening specifically to see a band. Service was poor. Food and drinks were just okay, and disappointing for the price. They have to figure out a better system when they have live music. We came about a half hour before the band was supposed to go on, but they didn't go on until about an hour after we arrived. However, we were told we had to hurry up and check out upon receiving our entrees and were denied when we asked to order another round of drinks and dessert because our table time limit was up and they had a waitlist, despite there being several open tables. The eight top next to us was also forced to check out. We got to hear about half a song before being kicked out of our table. Would give zero stars if I could. read more

We keep coming back hoping for better as we want the place to succeed but continue to be disappointed.
