Win Tavern has a proudly divey vibe, and I mean that as a compliment. This is the kind of place that looks like it has stories, regulars, and a bartender who knows your order before you finish your sentence. If you love a good no-frills tavern atmosphere, you will feel right at home. I stopped in for lunch and went with the Caesar salad. It was fine, but a little underwhelming. The portion was on the smaller side and the chicken was more of a suggestion than a feature. It left me wishing for just a bit more substance, especially for a midday meal. That said, everything was perfectly acceptable. Service was solid, the food came out quickly, and it absolutely works if you are local and need a reliable lunch spot with character. For me, since I am not from the area, it was not quite worth going out of my way for. No regrets, but also no strong urge to reroute my life plans to come back. If you live nearby and love a classic dive, this could easily be your spot. If you are driving from afar, it is probably a "nice to know" rather than a "must go." read more

Stopped in for dinner with a group of 6 and had a great meal. Our server was also the bartender and he was very friendly and took great care of us. The menu is large and has so many options for everyone. The kids menu had perfect options for my daughter and nephew. The kids burger was a quality smash burger! I had the Southwest chicken wrap and loved it. The fries were delicious, the queso was perfect for dipping, and the wrap was great. I loved that it seemed grilled as well, which made it way easier to keep together and not messy. Other dinners that were ordered at our table were the olive burger, California Turkey Reuben, and the Georgetown Hot Chicken Sandwich. We didn't have any complaints at our table about the food. The server felt bad because they ran out of silverware so he had to bring us some disposable silverware in a plastic bag. One refill of Coke he brought had a crack in it and was leaking all over the table as well, but he quickly took care of that. There were some very loud drunk people at a table near us that everyone was constantly looking at but they thankfully left halfway through our meal. We wished the touch tunes was a little louder to hear the songs as well. The atmosphere is pretty cool and it's a small, low ceiling bar, with tons of TVs. It was perfect to watch the Tigers game while enjoying dinner. We would definitely come back! read more

We had a group of around 10-15 folks for a pregame gathering. The manager was super accommodating by holding a table with some overflow options. Food was great. The tatchos (tater tot nachos) and fried pickle fries are a great starter. Lots of great entree options and hand helds. Service was very prompt, friendly, and handled the multiple checks for our group like a champ. Great place! read more

We came here after a baseball tournament. They were able to suit 12 of us easily. Staff was very nice and gave great food suggestions. I had the Philly cheesesteak original. It has great flavor but it was a lot of food. I think 2 people could have easily shared it. About $15 per person read more

Visiting from Vermont and we were recommended to try the Win. And we won! Great food at a reasonable price point with a "great place to watch the game" old school bar feel. I had the Blazing Saddles special with fries. Absolutely decadent on every level. Fries are seasoned perfectly. Burger juicy and jalapeño spicy. Not at all too hot but just enough. Other sandwiches ordered were equally awesome. Service is on the you get side but friendly and earnest. If I were to add anything it would be to have more seasonal drafts available. But that's a very small nit pick. Great place! read more

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed, which is always a good sign. We sat at the bar and the bartender was amazing and always made sure you had everything you needed. The chips and queso were delicious as was the steak and cheese sandwich. The food was way better than just bar food and I loved the lively but laid back atmosphere. Great eats at this spot in Jenison! Wonderful wait staff and owner. Great sandwiches, burgers, etc. I believe the owner now opened and owns Bridge Street Bar downtown GR. Nice place for some bar food and some drinks. Food ingredients were decent. Had the steak sub, fries and a beer and it was good. It was too hot for the patio doors to be open but it's there for a non 95 degree day. Service was quick fast for out very large table. read more

Pros: food was good, great staff Cons: a bit pricey, got sick, service charge for paying with a credit card We got the polish rose wrap, the Grander (steak sandwich), and the Tachos (nacho tots). The highlight for me was the crosscut chips, they were seasoned perfectly! My wrap was okay. It didn't seem like a lot of meat for the price and I was searching for the cream cheese. The steak sandwich was really good -we paid $1 extra for the special sauce, horseradish, and banana peppers. The special sauce tasted just like ketchup to me, so I don't think it was worth it. The horseradish sauce definitely was worth the upcharge. The Tachos were a big disappointment. They were $16 for a pound of tots -I think maybe it was a little over a half pound. I could be wrong, but we were really underwhelmed. And at $16, they were the most overpriced. Unfortunately, my partner got really stomach sick in the bathroom before I finished eating -and I got sick on the way home. As it was our first stop and meal of the day, I'm pretty sure we can isolate it to our meal. It was good, we may return, but that's iffy bc of the prices. Finally, there's a 4% service charge if you pay with credit card -so bring cash if you want to save a little extra. Staff were great although our table was covered in crumbs. read more

I wish I had taken pictures. Young young young staff, staff braiding each others hair behind the bar. Food...gross. You would be better off going to McDonalds next door. I ordered a patty melt that was absolutely the worst thing rendition of a patty melt I had ever seen. No rye bread a hamburger bun so basically a hamburger. I ordered a to go lunch and was excited to try the "Reindeer Games" special: a venison burger (with 50% beef for the fat), mushrooms, melty cheese, haystack onions, and a mysterious worcestershire essence red sauce on a brioche bun. I sprung to pay an extra $1.50 for the French onion dip with the lattice chips. When I called to place my order, I asked if it could be ready at noon. Unfortunately, the staff informed me they cannot time orders, so in the future if you want a hot meal try calling 30 minutes or so ahead. The burger itself was good. I enjoyed the gamey flavor of the venison, but it's easy to overcook this patty because of the lean venison. It was a bit dry and if I ordered it again would request it medium. The additions to the burger were delicious, but because of the dry meat I wished there was more sauce. The Win's homemade lattice chips are the perfect conduit for the French onion dip that had some goodies in it like yellow bell peppers and maybe sweet onions? I thought it was good and appreciate it more than their fries. Definitely spring for the French onion dip. Mostly, this is legit bar food that needs to be accompanied by a beer. In the future, I might not order for takeout but rather scarf it down at the bar while watching the game as it tastes best hot. Overall, The Win delivers and their specials are fun and interesting. Went for lunch here, and were blown away (as always!) by the food. The feature of the day was the "Dill Burg", with dill pickles ground up in the meat, dill havarti, bacon, MORE pickles, and haystack onions- eating this was an out-of-body experience. I saw it an immediately said "no way I could finish that", but once I started eating, it's like I blacked out. Couldn't control myself, had to devour the whole thing. My fiancé had the Bad Bird (chicken breast, pepper jack, bacon, and the works) and he felt similarly. I was so bummed I had no room left to try his, because it looked heavenly. (Not that he really wanted to share anyway!) The Win will continue to be the best place to eat in Jenison! read more

We have been enjoying The Win for many years. In fact, we've made it a regular stop after an every three week appointment. Tonight, we're rethinking that. We arrived before the dinner crush; 4:20. Once we were seating we were pretty ignored. Others seated after us were attended to. Finally, our server came by. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time. Drinks came; no plates or silverware that we requested to include a spoon. But our totchos came quick and hot. Okay, still no silverware, napkins or plates. So we asked the server who brought our food. Reminded her we wanted a spoon also. So, after a few minutes.... Here comes our plates and wrapped silverware. Again no spoon!!!!! I stopped her and reminded her we need a spoon. She laughed and rolled her eyes. Finally got that spoon though. Only took asking for it three times. Seriously, management needs to give their servers some more training. My husband has a disability; walks with a cane. Don't scoff at what may seem as a silly request. I.e. not a tight two top table, no high top, a spoon to aid with his difficulty eating. Looks like we will be giving the Win a rest while we search for a different place to frequent ***** After a terrible response from the establishment, I'm stunned. First time visit last night. Great bar atmosphere. A bunch of TVs but unfortunately they did not have Thursday night football on (no Amazon). The menu looked great and I was surprised at how many things I found that looked good to me. Wished I could have tried everything so I will have to come back soon to see what else is good. I got the wedge salad and it was great and also about twice the size of any others I've had elsewhere. Waitress was there nice and also checked in often for beer refills. We sat at the bar where a server proceeded to spray and splash cranberry juice all over my shirt, my husband's dress shirt, my face, and all over my phone. The WIN has transformed an old Pizza Hut into a modern, comfortable space--a truly great transformation. Tasty food is coupled with a tap list that manages to offer something for every taste. (I know this, because I'm not much of a beer drinker, but if there isn't a brew on tap that tempts me, they always have Zombie Killer. And they recently surprised me with a New Holland Dragon's Milk, my absolute favorite craft beer.) You don't need to leave Jenison to have an excellent pub experience. It's no doubt that Jenison has needed a spot like this forever. Friendly staff, amazing (AH-MAZE-ING!!) food and drinks flowing are a few reasons why we come back time and time again. My kids are happy to eat here, my parents and in-laws too! We've celebrated team wins, engagements and had meetings at the Win. During Covid they made their staff's health the main priority, which had us ordering from them (take out) even more often. Took my son, dad, and brother here for a birthday celebration. It's an old Pizza Hut and I'll tell you, it's pretty darn cool. Open floor plan w solid music and positives energy and feeling. The service was very quick and the menu has very good variety. The buffalo wrap was excellent and 3 of us got the Grander (grinder). Excellent! The shaved beef was wonderful and adding on more toppings is a must. The fries were excellent! Very nice draft beer selection. Highly recommended! read more
