I have enjoyed coming here and being a film member since Milwaukee Film took over. The theater building is unique and creative with the main theater holding some very unique architecture and decor. They have a second floor but for some reason it is very rarely open. That is a disappointment. The theater has snacks and drinks for purchase, with some pretty good popcorn and the brewer's/nutritional yeast makes it great! There is no parking onsite; street parking only. For events, it is best to come early.

Even though they have split it into 3 separate theaters, it still retains its charm. We saw Marty Supreme, good movie, kinda all over with the story, but in the end it all kinda comes together. The theater itself is starting to have that worn down look. My husband and I went recently for a little date night out, and saw 'One Battle After Another.' We learned that going on a Tuesday means discounted movie nights, woohoo! So $7 tickets, plus tax of course. That leaves the rest of your wallet to spend on the concessions. You just can skip having popcorn at the movies! $19 for a medium popcorn + medium soda though... yikes. Overall pros of this cinema: It's very clean, plentiful parking, staff is friendly and helpful, all the mainstream movie options, and seats are very comfy with recliner options! Cons: Food from the restaurant isn't the greatest and service is pretty slow. If you're trying to make it to your movie on time you best show up and order far in advance. It's also tough not to compare to other theaters where you can now order at your seat, etc. We shared a chicken ranch wrap and though it was OK, I likely wouldn't order again. Stick to the pizza ;)

He purchased tickets well in advance. Staff was pleasant as they checked our tickets and took our concession order. Popcorn was yummy and who doesn't like a Coke Freestyle Machine? Our movie played in the "IMAX" which I think is just the largest screen available at the theater, it's definitely not an IMAX. I thought the picture was great, my husband felt it was a tad blurry. Sound was loud and enjoyable compared to home viewing. My rating falls due to the outdatedness of the theater itself. In the bathroom there were sinks and papertowel/soap dispensers not operational. The seats are "old school" as my husband put it... Plan to be sitting upright for however long your movie plus the pre movie ads/trailers go on. I guess I'm privileged in that I am now use to "dream lounger" seats and ample walkway space in each aisle. We sat in the middle section of the row, and lets just say if you have to get up to pee, every person will need to get up to accommodate. The floor was sticky. My husbands seat cushion was "broken" so he was particularly uncomfortable. Overall, AMC, please update this theater! It could use some TLC and I think with that, the location would have a resurgence of popularity as it is the only AMC in the area.

The theater itself, though, could really use some updates -- it feels a bit bare bones with little decoration or ambiance, especially compared to other nearby theaters. As for the movie, we expected a fun cartoon spin on Frankenstein, but it ended up being pretty slow and not very engaging for older kids or adults. Still, it was a free event and a nice family night out, so we made the most of it.

While there my son and I got popcorn, a soda, and a bottle of water. Matinee pricing isn't bad compared to bigger chain theaters. My ticket was $10 and he was $8 since he counts for child prices. The popcorn was expensive at $9 for a medium-ish size bag (even with a free refill) compared to larger buckets at other theaters and we didn't care for the flavor of the "butter". The soda was $7, which was also pricey. Unfortunately they only offer one size for both the popcorn and soda and don't give you a discount for buying both as a combo. They have other food like pizza and chicken tenders on the menu board, but no prices were listed. I know people love the leather recliners at other theaters, but the loveseats at Rosebud Cinema are preferable as far as I'm concerned. We sunk into the plush loveseat and it was far more comfortable than a hard leather recliner. Each loveseat had a decent size pillow to lean on too. It's not the most conveniently located theater based on where I live, but the decent prices and comfortable seating will probably bring me back.

Living where I do, this cinema is the closest to home. Besides being most convenient for me, it's also loaded with features that modern moviegoers demand. Let's check 'em out. 16 auditoriums - check. Online ticketing - check. Reserved seating - check. Lots of parking - check. Automated kiosk ticket pickup - check. Bar & Cocktail Lounge - check. Food - check. Pizza - check. Snack bar - check. Café seating in the lobby - check. Lounge seating in the auditorium - check. In fact, the loungers are red leather, electrically operated recliners. They are built together in pairs and the center arm rest swings up to make a loveseat so you can make out with your date, too. There's a full seven feet of width in the aisle so if you must leave in the middle of the film, you're not inconveniencing anyone like you must at a ball game. AND, there's cup holders! Movies too expensive on your budget? All films are five bucks on Tuesdays, so gopher it. On Fridays, there's a $6 ticket for us old farts but we have to go before they put us to bed in the home at 5:30 PM. They even have a popcorn deal for frequent viewers. Buy a bucket for twenty five bucks and take it with you whenever you go to the movies. Refills are four bucks for the entire year. (Being early January 2019 as I write this, it's an even better deal...if you happen to love popcorn. I don't, so I'm not buying a bucket.) Like everyone else these days, Marcus has a loyalty program. Check it out on the their website to see if it's a fit for you. Order your tickets online at marcustheatres.com or use their app. (I'm a member of fandango.com so I can buy tickets for movies almost anywhere I go.) Online purchases mean you can skip the long lines and print your tickets from one of the kiosks at the front door. Overall, this is a very good place to watch a film.

I was a little worried I would trip finding my seat. The movie started at time and played well and the volume was great! My biggest gripe was with the food. It took almost an hour to be brought to us and the only reason we got it was because my husband left the movie to ask about it. When we finally got it delivered it was freezing cold, which tells me it had been made a long time ago and they forgot about it and didn't bring it out. I didn't even eat the cheese curds because they were so cold they weren't good and they also did not bring my side of ranch. My chicken wings seemed like they had been in the fridge, though they were tasty. It's sort of an awkward situation in a movie theater because once you realize your food is cold or they forgot something, you would have to leave your seat and miss the movie to get it resolved, which is sometimes just not worth it. We got to see the movie, which was very fun, but the facilities at this particular theater are not quite as good as the other Marcus Theaters I have been to. The staff is all very friendly, though!
