I was a little worried I would trip finding my seat. The movie started at time and played well and the volume was great! My biggest gripe was with the food. It took almost an hour to be brought to us and the only reason we got it was because my husband left the movie to ask about it. When we finally got it delivered it was freezing cold, which tells me it had been made a long time ago and they forgot about it and didn't bring it out. I didn't even eat the cheese curds because they were so cold they weren't good and they also did not bring my side of ranch. My chicken wings seemed like they had been in the fridge, though they were tasty. It's sort of an awkward situation in a movie theater because once you realize your food is cold or they forgot something, you would have to leave your seat and miss the movie to get it resolved, which is sometimes just not worth it. We got to see the movie, which was very fun, but the facilities at this particular theater are not quite as good as the other Marcus Theaters I have been to. The staff is all very friendly, though!

Never seen such an uptight excuse for a high end club. Guys...I appreciate the work you put into the dance floor and the renovations...but this isn't New York! Since the fire and the "upgrades" the Miramar has instituted a bunch of seemingly random rules that appear only to serve as a deterrent from people actually having fun and/or enjoying themselves. When the front bar is full and people have nowhere to go--why not open the second bar? Even if you don't want a server in there, at least give people a place to go. At the box office, they seem to enjoy having large queued lines and agonizingly slow service which makes the bar situation even more irritating. $5 for coat check? Ouch. And if you're going to have a VIP tier, at least make it a VIP experience and more than just a bottle of water or a seat on a platform. Lastly, have a drink price list. A vodk and redbull shouldn't be $16 which is what we were charged. 2 PBR's at $4.50 plus a vodka and redbull and the tab was $25? Even for a double, that's a ridiculous price. But the next person who ordered a double vodka redbull was charged $12. How does that work?

I'm giving Oconomowoc Days a 3 star review…read more I'm glad the fine people of Oconomowoc woke up and realized they needed to bring the carnival back. Growing up, this was THE EVENT OF THE SUMMER! Why they ever stopped doing the carnival is beyond me. This year is the first year back, and even they admitted it needed some work. They had a TIlt-A-Whirl, along with some kiddie rides / attractions, and a fun house. OK, so that aspect would be about 1-2 stars. The rides were kind of lame. But on the plus side, you got an extra long Tilt-A-Whirl ride. My husband and I did the 5K on Saturday morning, and it left a little to be desired, until the guy in charge explained to us he only had about a month to put everything together. However, all proceeds went to the food pantry and to reinvigorate Champion Field. Hooray on that end! I like the family friendly 'ticket' program - instead of giving the carnies cash, you give them tickets for the game (Purchased at the tent) and they give you fake "Oconomowoc Days Dollars" that can be redeemed. Hokey, but it did work. They also used the tickets in the beer tent, so no pressure to tip the volunteer bar maids. They did offer live music and entertainment, which seemed to draw a lot of people. They also had a drawing to win a Harley. In my opinion, there were a few kinks that need to be worked out, but this was a good start. I hope they bring it back next year, but use the feedback they received to improve on it. Viva Oconomowoc Days!
