The day usually starts early in the morning, Casandra and Carmen always say hello and are quick to help or answer any questions. I was recently referred to this doctor's office. I attempted to call and schedule my first appointment and was placed on hold for 15 minutes. When the call was finally answered, I provided my name and date of birth and the employee started giving me addresses and phone numbers that did not belong to me. This made me very uncomfortable especially when he stated that others have my name, which is highly unlikely that someone has my name and exact date of birth. I have never experienced this from any medical provider and if this is anything remotely close to the kind of care they give their patients I would highly recommend finding another provider. Patient information is incredibly sensitive and if you handle a new patient in this manner, I can't imagine what would happen if you got my medical records. An interaction like this does not inspire confidence. read more

I had problem with my eyes and I had authorization with another Eye Office on December but when I saw the message I had an Appointment with Acuity group I conformed because I did check my eyes last year. I called and notified them I had new medical insurance and medical group in this year and I did sent to them my new Medical Card on their link, I think they check everything are good before give me an appointment , I got a working day off and came to Acuity Eye office as on massage appointment. I came and wait about 30' they check my medical insurance and denied to check up my Eyes because I did not had authorization by family doctor, I asked them why they did not let me know before to make appointment??? I chose this office because it's very close to my house. I arrived and checked in. The waiting room was very plain, I wondered if they were closing the office soon. A white room with chairs and nothing else. The appointment with the doctor was fine and she was pleasant. When we finished the exam, I expected to be taken to another room to pick out glasses. I was surprised to find they don't have glasses there despite what I had seen on the website. They just give you a prescription to take elsewhere but I couldn't find anywhere that had a good collection of frames to choose from that accepted my insurance. read more

I was having eye problems and didn't have an eye doctor. Thankfully, I found Dr. Saba Nawazish and am I ever happy I did. She is the best. Smart, compassionate and kind. Not once did I feel hurried or that she wasn't listening to me and my concerns. Obviously I cannot guarantee everyone will have the same great experiences I did, but I can tell you this. I had a scar on my retina that had hemorrhaged and was causing poor vision. I was referred to The Retina Institute by my optometrist. Dr. Culotta was excellent. He started me on an aggressive treatment plan. I was scared after learning my treatment would involve injections in my eye. Dr. Culotta reassured me that this was the best treatment. After three rounds of Avastin injections, my vision was back to normal. The injections actually weren't nearly as painful as I expected (especially the 2nd and 3rd rounds). 8 years later, I still haven't had any problems with my vision. I would highly recommend The Retina Institute and Dr. Culotta. My only complaint (very minor and more funny than anything else) is that they often played the movie The Santa Clause during my visits. I have been a patient for over 1 1/2 years. After my first eye surgery, I was scheduled for a second surgery due to the fact that the first one didn't work. In August, I went to a pre-op appointment and was told by Crystal that I was scheduled for October 6 at 9 a.m. I drove 1/2 hours to the surgery center. Upon arrival I was told that I was never scheduled, even when I had spoken with Crystal four days prior and had confirmed the surgery. I tried to speak with both Crystal and Dr. Davis. Both of them refused to talk with me. In my 35 years in the business world, I have never encounter such lack of professionalism and customer care. read more

One of his assistants, Vanessa, has a great personality and is very kind to her patients. Was diagnosed with dry macular degeneration two years ago at the age of 58, in August,2014 i went to The Retina Institute to make sure my eye was still in good shape. Yes i was under a different doctor during those two years. Well two weeks after my first appt there, i found myself in the office on a Saturday morning getting my first set of injections! I have been going to the Retina Institute for over five years now. I had laser surgery on both eyes for retinas that were tearing. Dr. Davis performed the surgery on each eye. After visits every six months for routine check ups the retinas are holding well after all of this time. I highly recommend Dr. Davis. He is the only eye doctor I have been seeing at the institute so can only relate first hand experience with him. Dr. Davis is kind, always ready to answer questions and as far as I'm concerned, very skillful at what he does. He's extremely knowledgeable too. I'm a patient of Dr. Michael Davis, a superior retinal specialist with Retina Institute of California. I had been foolish not paying attention to the warning signs of a detaching retina, when I finally saw Dr. Davis my retina had completely detached, I was blind in one eye and very frightened. I have a family history of retinal detachment with failed surgical outcome, I was shocked and hopeless when I heard my diagnosis however that was the beginning of an extraordinary journey. Dr. Davis quickly scheduled surgery, he was calm, reassuring and explained in detail current status and his surgical plan to reattach, using cutting-edge technology coupled with his excellent skill set.
