A mohs procedure removed the cancer and Dr. Lin put my eye back together. It is amazing how in one week my eye looked great. The explanation given was that there was no pre-authorization on file, even though a Blue Shield PPO does not require it. I was also told the doctor does not perform this type of evaluation, despite my appointment being for a possible detached retina and concerns related to an existing condition. Overall, this experience showed a lack of communication and consideration for patients' time and expenses, and it was very disappointing.
