Day after rattlesnake bite and first day home.
    Dean P.

Took in my 11 year old Dog Cowboy into Acton Veterinay Clinic who had a rattlesnake bite on his snout. After calling 2 24hr emergecy Vet clinics in palmdale and lancaster and being told they are not taking new clients. After reviewing my options, Dr. LOKEN Let me put down half of a deposit so he immediately started the antivenom and my dog was able to go home the next day. He gave me meds and explained what to expect. Cowboy is now recovering and is getting better daily. Thanks to Dr. Loken and his wife Ladonna and the staff for making this unfortunate situation go as smoothly as possible.

We had an emergency with our goat. No one within a 30 mile radius could take him. I called Acton Vet Clinic as a last resort and Dr Loken agreed to see him (at closing time)! His staff was adorable and helped to calm my nerves. Our little guy would have died without their help. I can't say enough good things!!

They did not diagnose my dog correctly. Sent me home with. A small tube of ointment and 3 days later my 3 year old St. Bernard is now blind.

Dr Lokey at Acton Vet is a good substitute for Dr Ruppert at Uno Animal in Lancaster, if you have to use the vet on a Saturday.

The last thing you want when your fur baby is suffering is to reach voicemail after voicemail. Hearing a compassionate human voice on the other end of the phone brought me so much comfort. She came to my home first thing the next morning. I was worried about my younger Golden Retriever jumping on her or interfering with her care, but she was absolutely wonderful with both of my dogs. She encouraged him to stay in the room with us once he was comfortable with her, and I truly believe that helped him understand what was happening. She was incredibly professional, but I'll never forget one small moment. Out of the corner of my eye, while I was saying my final words and paying my last tributes to my girl, I saw her quietly wiping tears from her eyes. As a healthcare provider myself, I know how often we're expected to wear a mask and stay composed. Seeing that genuine emotion didn't make her seem less professional, it reassured me that she truly cared. In those final moments, your mind races. You question whether you're making the right decision. Seeing her emotion gave me peace because I knew she wasn't simply going through the motions. I knew that if she believed my girl wasn't ready, she would have told me. Most of us are fortunate enough to experience this kind of heartbreak only a few times in our lives. She carries families through it over and over again. That takes an incredible amount of compassion. Thank you for your kindness, your empathy, and for helping my sweet Lilo leave this world peacefully and with dignity. Please take care of yourself, too. The first photo is the day Oliver met Lilo as a puppy, their first photo together. The second was taken just before the veterinarian arrived to help Lilo pass. I didn't realize until later that I had unknowingly captured both the beginning and the end of their story together I will miss my Lilo for eternity.

This is not my first review of our beloved Dr G, and I just recommended her to 6 more people again just these past 2 weeks. I always say to people I give her card to: "you will discover she is an Earth Angel - if she moved to a different town, I'd take my pup there... When you find a great vet, they are Gold! She's not only compassionate, present and knowledgeable, but also she does not oversell." Besides all the regular check ups, Dr G. has performed 2 substantial surgeries on my pup in the last 8 years, and has been extremely kind, providing valuable reassuring step-by-step updates throughout, especially aware that I had lost my beloved first dog, (with a different vet), when he did not make it through the anesthesia... In the 8 years Dr G. has been our one and only vet; everyone I have sent to Dr G. has fallen in love with her, and has thanked me for the referral. I trusted Dr G and her small compassionate team with the euthanasia of my precious second dog, Handsome. She is truly an Angel on Earth. At her Chatsworth location, I love that she's created a lovingly cozy "home environment" for the euthanasia experience. That it so needed during that deeply emotional time, and more veterinary offices ought to follow her example. I found her many years ago when I was dissatisfied with a busy veterinary front desk in Sherman Oaks, after they had made errors in my first dog's chart. Unfortunately he passed, and I learned that finding the RIGHT professional truly makes ALL the difference. So yes, I drive from Sherman Oaks. Gratefully so :) I am thankful that my cherished pups are her patients. Her ethics, her care, her kindness, her knowledge, her integrity - she's our number 1!!!

The owner Rhea verbally and thru texts blamed another worker of the terrible work but mission animal hospital said they had several complaints and may cut services with this crematorium if complaints continue, the owner said directly to me on the phone that she wanted to make it right by at least refunding our money which to this day over a month and a half later she has not sent anything in return not $1.00 even after several Texts back and forth with all the information she needed to refund us she has not followed thru by any means. At this point my hope here is to help families not go thru what we did after such a loss. Do not take your chances or pets here avoid completly at all costs. He was a rescue as a puppy and had some sort of issue his entire 14 year life but I was lucky to have the means (and pet insurance) to treat any and all issues. That being said, paws and claws has been through with Renly: intestinal blockage surgeries, cancerous lump removal, epilepsy treatment, liver treatment,Osteoarthritis treatments. And because of them my husky lived 14 happy, pain free, years with amazing quality of life until literally his last day. We've been through several vets in the many years of patronage but Dr.D has been our vet for the last couple years and without a doubt her treatments are why my dog lived to 14 pain free and happy. Yes they are expensive, Woodland Hills, but pets are expensive. I highly recommend pet insurance for all pets as that is the reason I was always able to treat my dog. Last: the staff. Everyone at the front desk and the techs are amazing but I have to specifically point out Xavier, who has gone above and beyond for us more than once, and was the one to help renly pass, as they had their own special bond. and Bailey who has been there for us for many years as well. Now I have brought home a 10 month old east valley rescue who had kennel cough and several other shelter related issues and Dr. D has treated him appropriately and he is recovering quickly. I'll never go anywhere else. Love you guys!

Christy's massage techniques are able to calm my anxious little chihuahua mix! Both women have given him laser treatments that will hopefully build up both of his back legs. The facility itself is clean, quiet and even when multiple animals come in at the same time, it feels soothing and peaceful. So although we are there to rehab Bruno, it is also a pleasant experience for me! I understand why so many dog people give Zen Den high marks. Not only is it one-of-a-kind in the Antelope Valley, but it is also a clinically sound and helpful place with knowledgeable, caring people. From a purely practical perspective, the prices at Zen Den are more than fair. And if necessary, they have a payment plan that can be utilized so that your furry baby can feel better. They kept my dog for 5 hours, and after everything, I still had to bring her to a different hospital so she could get proper care. There was also a problem with my dog's prescription. They prescribed a medication that wasn't even available until Monday. I was honestly willing to let that pass because I understand things happen, but the rude attitude from the receptionist was too much. I understand vet hospitals can get busy, but clients who are worried about their pets deserve compassion, professionalism, and proper communication -- especially after spending that much money. Very disappointed with both the service and the overall experience.
