Christy's massage techniques are able to calm my anxious little chihuahua mix! Both women have given him laser treatments that will hopefully build up both of his back legs. They certainly seem to relax him. Bruno was initially quite unhappy in the hydrotherapy. But he is now water-walking 5 minutes! This is due in no small part to the Zen Den staff. The facility itself is clean, quiet and even when multiple animals come in at the same time, it feels soothing and peaceful. So although we are there to rehab Bruno, it is also a pleasant experience for me! I understand why so many dog people give Zen Den high marks. Not only is it one-of-a-kind in the Antelope Valley, but it is also a clinically sound and helpful place with knowledgeable, caring people. From a purely practical perspective, the prices at Zen Den are more than fair. And if necessary, they have a payment plan that can be utilized so that your furry baby can feel better. We saw two different veterinarians and had X-rays done, but everything came back normal. Despite trying pain management, sedatives, and strict crate rest, nothing seemed to help. An MRI was recommended, but it was very costly and not something I could pursue at the time--especially without a clear diagnosis. That's when I decided to try therapy with Christy at Zenden. Over the past few months, my dog has been doing physical therapy with Christy, including water therapy and laser treatments. The improvement has been incredible. She has made such a strong recovery, and I truly believe we wouldn't be where we are today without Christy's care and dedication. Christy goes above and beyond for both her patients and their owners. I'm so grateful for everything she's done and can't thank her enough.

She interrupted me rudely and said, "I'm not the one you spoke to," when all I was trying to do was get copies of my dog's records. I spent almost $1,700 here for my dog's pneumonia treatment, and unfortunately it did not help at all. They kept my dog for 5 hours, and after everything, I still had to bring her to a different hospital so she could get proper care. There was also a problem with my dog's prescription. They prescribed a medication that wasn't even available until Monday. I was honestly willing to let that pass because I understand things happen, but the rude attitude from the receptionist was too much. I understand vet hospitals can get busy, but clients who are worried about their pets deserve compassion, professionalism, and proper communication -- especially after spending that much money. Very disappointed with both the service and the overall experience.

The surgery itself went well, and the cost was actually very reasonable considering the procedure. Unfortunately, my experience with the customer service has been consistently disappointing. The wait times have been long at nearly every visit. I understand that emergencies happen, but what concerns me more is how clients are treated by the front office staff and office manager. They often come across as dismissive, lacking compassion, and sometimes even condescending. Instead of simply relaying information, they sometimes seem to offer medical explanations that should really come directly from the veterinarian. When I asked to speak with the veterinarian to clarify questions about my dog's care, I was repeatedly routed through several staff members before getting any answers. That process was frustrating and unnecessary. After my mom's dog's surgery, I expected a little more compassion and guidance. Instead, it felt like we were rushed out the door. We received only limited explanations about medications, dosing schedules, and post-operative care. The focus seemed to be on scheduling the next appointment rather than making sure we understood how to care for our pet at home. When we asked why another appointment was necessary, the only explanation given was, "The doctor said so." During one visit, while waiting for my pet, there were three employees at the front desk, yet no one acknowledged me for about 20 minutes. Even after finally checking in, I continued waiting without any updates. Because this has happened repeatedly over multiple visits--not just once--I don't believe these are isolated incidents. I still appreciate the kindness of the staff, but this experience left a bad impression. I have no problem paying for necessary care that's medically necessary but not the money grab that this place is! Stay far away from here!

Worst experience in my life!!!! My dog had a SERIOUS Emergency. They injested something and it was a time sensitive EMERGENCY! I normally take my animals elsewhere because I have heard nothing but horrible things about this vet office. Such things like they have seriously injured other pets and blame it on the owners, and they have killed 3 people's dogs. Because of my serious EMERGENCY I took my dog into this vet because they were the closest at the time. The little girl at the front obviously doesn't know what the word EMERGENCY is and obviously does not care for Animals. She said for $500.00 I can bump you in front of other patients, and we can see if we can help your animal. Wow I thought a vets office would try and save your pet and help them right away instead of trying to scam you out of money. I doubt the 1 person, that wasn't even in your office waiting, would not have mind that you TRY and save my pet. I don't think so. Oh but they said with attitude to me oh but you can wait an hour and we can see you. I drove 30 minutes away to take my animal to a vet and office staff that knows, care, and will take care of Animals right. I showed up and they took my dog in within 1 minute of me being there. That's how service is SUPPOSED TO BE DONE! I strongly suggest no one else supports this awful place. read more

Each cat whether it be a long loved pet or a dirty young feral off the street is handled with the same amount of attention and care. The reception staff is helpful and always ready to lend a hand. Truly a gem in the AV. I noticed another review leaving only 2 Stars since they aren't a full service clinic and "only" offer spay neuter. All I can say to that is that they are offering the most Crucially important service to the animals Of the AV. Also those terms are literally all over their branding on their website, Instagram, handouts, lobby etc. there are a hundred animals hospitals in the AV where can get your pet treated for general ailments but there is only one high quality, high volume, low cost spay neuter clinic.

The Best Vet Anywhere…read more Dr. Ruppert is the very best vet you will find anywhere. He is fair, honest, compassionate, informative and respects both the owner and their pets. I have been taking my beloved kids to him for years and he and his staff have always been patience and professional, even with my more challenging kids. I always understand why each procedure is performed and the risks involved, also the cost is fully disclosed (so there are no surprises). His concern is the welfare of your pets and NOT money like so many other vets I have been too. I just wish he treated birds, because everytime I go somewhere else I am very disappointed with the attitude I receive from the vet and the undisclosed cost. I recently adopted her from a rescue and she came to us totally in heat even though she was already spayed! Turns out there was an entire right ovary left! Peter found it. YEAH! In 24 hours Winnie is not meowling and my fixed boy cats aren't freaking out. This will hopefully be an adoption success story. I should say Peter came to us through Pets R Us.

Backstory: one of my dogs woke up on a Friday unable to open his eye, which quickly turned into an infection and I spent 2 days trying to find a vet / urgent care to take him to near my home in North Hollywood. Every hospital in LA that I called, I was either met with an immediate "hello, please hold" (for 20 minutes), capacity already met, an absurd wait time with no promise of being seen, or unsympathetic staff saying "an eye infection is not an emergency". I called SC Animal Urgent Care & Wellness Center at 7:08pm on a SUNDAY, arrived at 7:45pm and was seen by Dr. Mousa by 7:55pm! From the second the receptionist answered the phone, I knew I was in good hands. She was extremely compassionate & quickly took my information, along with my dogs symptoms and told me to come right in to be seen by Dr. Mousa. Dr. Mousa is a GOD SEND!!! I am so blessed to have found him. Dr. Mousa examined & handled my dog with so much care and explained that he had an corneal ulcer which was quickly deteriorating his cornea and that if I had not brought him in immediately, he would have lost his eye (which was still a possibility at that point due to the 2 day wait trying to find a vet/hospital). Dr. Mousa's urgency along with his care, compassion and knowledge is the type of service you expect and deserve when you go to a hospital concerned, stressed and scared for your dog. Lexi (vet assistant) is phenomenal & so sweet!!! Lexi treated my dog like he was her own and she explained every step of what was happening and why, then what would be next. She even shared a story about her cat with me to show how she related to me in that moment. They are an amazing team and will give your pets the best car!

Explained it thoroughly and he just stayed and talked us through everything. He even stayed around and talked about Travis's brother, who came with us. He truly cares about his patients and their owners, which I was not expecting. I feel as if we're always rushed and never heard. Dr. Musa, his nurse and all of the staff were are genuinely awesome people and I am so grateful to have met them all today. Thank you Dr. Musa and staff!! You're the best!
