Customer service very unprofessional. Their system automatically cancels an appointment scheduled n they can't figure out how, even the district manager doesn't have a clue why n they're least bothered to investigate. Last week . Last year I had wildlife service done including insulation. Technicians who worked on all the entry points never explained what kind of material they'll be using, neither they took pics. Last week I had an inspection done in my attic n asked for pics from last year's service he said he'll inform them n they'll call in 72 hrs but no one did. I would not recommend them at all. I'm seeing unhappy comments n replies from active but nothing has improved. If the owner is reading this then improve n solve issues instead of just blabbing. read more

We used BugOut and then they were bought out by Active. Then we notice more and more bugs and realized after awhile no tech was ever showing up based on our ring camera, yet were still being auto debited. We canceled and now they are sending us collection notices for no payment!!! This place is awful. They never came to get their bate traps so the new company took them out and we had them in a bag for months. Now, almost SIX months later, Active wants to come take them out. Well, I have news for you, they were ready for you and you dropped the ball and never came to the appointment...they are long gone. Get your act together!!! My pest control company was acquired by Active Pest Control this year and I've had nothing but problems with them since then. Invoices are sent saying my account is past due when I haven't even received an invoice. I added my credit card on file with auto-payment to avoid this issue and still received a past-due invoice. My account was paid in full! I called to confirm and they said "we have a lot of problems with our billing system." I also have problems with scheduling technicians. They show up without any advanced notice. I NEVER had a problem with my previous companies and I'm going to cancel service. I tried to do it on the phone but was told customer service has to send a request to the district for review. Really? Why? Are they going to say no to my request? DON'T use this company!!! Active Pest controls' contractors came to my house even after our contract expired. They COULD NOT have entered the residence because the gate was locked, yet they claim they serviced my property and charged me 50 bucks a month for several months. I have used Active for years for several services including termite, crawl space encapsulation, mosquitoes and wildlife removal. They were great until bought by Renokil and everything went way down hill. Customer service is the worst. The online portal is terrible. When I call they say I have no balance but continue to send bills saying I owe them money. We have used Active Pest Control for several services with our home, including termite services, crawl space encapsulation with some sort of annual fee associated, "Wildlife exclusion," and pro active pest defense and I'm not really satisfied with any of the services that have been provided. Every time I open my email/check my bank account I have another charge from Active. Recently we had an issue with rodents and to address this I was told it would cost additional recurring fees--I truly am baffled as to what I have been paying for all this time. Services are always scheduled without even asking me when works and oftentimes I am not even given a heads up. No one ever comes inside to check or spray or address any issues inside the home. Sometimes the technicians are helpful but often I do not think I am really getting comprehensive (if any) services despite paying many recurring fees. Whenever I try to address an issue we are having with a technician when I catch them at our home, I am always told that it is not their area/they need to schedule someone else or that they will send me an estimate for more fees to get this fixed. Their billing system is also incredibly confusing--I have autopay set up but then sometimes I'm invoiced for other bills randomly despite Active having my payment information on file. I plan to cancel our services with Active and explore other options that have a much less convoluted approach and more straightforward billing practices. With Active, it's always someone different coming to our home, and I plan to seek a more personal approach elsewhere. read more

I have used Active for years and loved the company. This was by far the best pest control service that I have ever used. Tim was amazing. A few months back, I noticed an unauthorized charge to my account for $120. I called and emailed to complain, so they refunded me my money. Just recently, I went on the portal to pay my bill. Guess what, they claim they never received my payment. Also, the agent that I spoke with said I had a certain balance owing, that was not showing on the portal. I am waiting to hear back from a Regional Manager named Mary Weldon on what happened to the money I paid through the portal. There is definitely some sort of miss between the offices and the portal. Unfortunately, I decided to cancel my service with this company because my trust has been broken several times. THE PICS AND NOTES WE GOT BACK FROM THEM WERE SICKENING, FLAT OUT NEGLIGENCE**We didn't have an issue with the insect guy that comes and spray routinely, guy is SUPER nice...but the EXCLUSION SERVICE is a joke. A VERY EXPENSIVE AND PROPERTY DAMAGING JOKE! We were guaranteed many things by sales not a single promise was met, not even in the ball park. They sell these exclusions services w "a guarantee that they MUST eliminate the issue and will pay for any damages there after incurred if they can not"....that's a lie by omission. They "guarantee their service" up to the annual total which is $1300. Which is made worse by them trying to offer a service like exclusion which results in high remediation costs when not done properly and $1300 not it any will cover the damage done over the 6months they strung us along as we are now having to rip down sheet rock and insulation. We basically begged for 6 months for them to do their job, not a single time has it been handled correctly. We are now looking at remediation costs in the thousands and paying another company to perform the service we already paid for as its supposed to be done. Allgood/Active took A LOT of money, not any type of results that could even manipulated or skewed to even appear as progress or professionally executed in any way. They made the problem worse by letting it go on and on and on without resolution or follow up a single time. When we started looking at other companies that do "exclusion services" realized that what allgood/active is doing/selling as "exclusion" is not even close to the industry standards of what is expected and that's after multiple managers being involved. These people trashed our house out of negligence and overcommitment and their contract is predatory based on the fact their "guarantee" is not sufficient in anyway to cover thier failures for this type of specialized service. We will be sending it to the insurance company lawyers to find out if it's even legal at this point. When they did TRY to do the exclusion the ripped off all my gutter guards AND DUMPED THEM IN MY YARD AND LEFT THEM took cover off stuff all down the sides of my house that I had to put back. Manager came back, left them too. So we had dispose of their work debris.The only guy who has been worth anything is our routine insect guy....Just So crazy. This entire experience has just been disheartening and defeating. Negatively affects our quality of life daily now for your sake and your family's call some one else. Had a very very very bad experience. They didn't show up for service. I got false information from multiple customer service representatives. Each one told me a different story. They are expensive compared to other companies. As long as the auto pay was on, everything was fine until I needed something. whatever you do stay away from active pest control. They billed me came out and sprayed and then three months later tried to bill me again for six months previous but I didn't have them. They are very dishonest with their payment practices and play dumb very well. I was told that I could restart my policy if I pay the past due and when I called to set a appointment up for them to come out, they literally said they had to start from scratch all over again. This place is absolutely terrible. I personally do not believe in writing bad reviews on the internet but Im here to save you money and time, remove this pest control company from your list of contestants. They are not it. We were charged $200 for 2 back to back visits 2 weeks apart that were suppose to be the beginning of our recurring monthly maintenance. They only came for one of those 2 initial visits and when the porter got here he was confused why we didn't do any of the prep work that we were never told to do. We called them and told them we only had one of the initial 2 visits and they had 0 clue what we were talking about and just kept telling us our next appointment date. There are times where I get the feeling that someone is playing stupid and time where someone just simply has no idea what is going on, this person had no idea what was going on. A month goes by and we realize that they never contacted us to schedule our next appointment but they did charge us for one. So at this point we've paid them for 4 visits and only seen them twice so we decide to cancel. Too many problems too early on, not worth it. We call to cancel, apparently everyone who can handle the cancellation was off that day? When we finally did get them on the phone we realized they had been servicing a completely different house and tried to tell us they can't refund us. I personally feel we should get every dollar back that we gave them. We were promised yard treatment and house treatments and they only ever treated the kitchen twice, not even our whole house or yard. 100% do not waste your time with this company that has literally 0 idea what is going on. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing and they send you random bills for subscription. She didn't sign up for such as bird exclusion renewal. I purchased a one time mosquito treatment for a very specific date via Groupon. I called Active and scheduled an appointment for the date I needed treatment. The representative asked for my voucher number, which I provided, and then she told me that the number on the voucher was "incorrect". It was clearly the only number on the voucher and I read it off correctly. Their rep told me that Groupon voucher numbers only contain numbers, not letters. That is simply not true. She then stated that they would need to see the voucher when they arrived for service, which I told her was fine. As long as they show up on the date that we originally scheduled. They did not show up on the scheduled date or send anyone out here. I called back and spoke with another rep, who also told me the number was incorrect. I then emailed her the voucher, and she saw that the voucher did in fact contain letters and that I was giving them the correct number the whole time. So overall, they cancelled the service on the date scheduled because they didn't believe me that I purchased a Groupon. Then, they were unapologetic when I showed them that it was the correct voucher number, and they did not apologize and then proceeded to push my service date out another week. Terrible customer service, would not recommend nor will I be using their services any further. read more

I had 20 years of excellent pest and termite service by Allgood Pest. Allgood contacted me 2-3 weeks in advance with my appointment time and gave me a 1.5 arrival time window. Their people were professional and thorough. After Active Pest took over the service has been horrible. I get a 2 day notice of an appointment they have assigned me and the appointment arrival window is 5 hours. The technician doesn't even call you when they are on their way unless you call and make a special request. Ridiculously horrible service as compared with other companies. WARNING: DO NOT COMMIT LONG-TERM TO THESE RIP-OFF ARTISTS! I give them zero stars for customer service. Not happy with Active's customer service and refusal to work with my particular situation. I moved to Atlanta in May, currently renting a house on one year lease and committed to 12-month contract with APC without knowing our landlord already had same type of pest control service after Active made its first service call. I immediately contacted APC and asked to review my contract in order to discuss some resolution rather than paying $40/mo for nothing. I was initially told that my situation never happened before, then was told there was no way to be released from the contract unless I paid 1/2 of the remaining contract ($240 total). I declined that offer and very reluctantly continued paying for unneeded service each month. I just called APC again because our lease is up May 31 and we are purchasing a townhouse that our HOA dues cover pest control. I asked to waive the last two months of service and was once again offered to pay half of the remaining contract. This time I will pay for one extra month just to get away from these scheisters! Yes, I did commit to the service. But I've been in this situation in other properties I've owned and rented in California and had not problems being released from those agreements...I guess they do things a little differently here in Georgia, specifically showing no empathy or willingness to satisfy a customer in a unique situation. I have been a customer of Allgood Pest Control for years, now Active has taken over their business. The worst customer service I have had ever! I called customer service asking to speak to someone who could review my termite contract with me, as the tech who treated my home made statements that had me questioning if I need to upgrade my contract. 1.cust serv rep #1 said they would have someone call me. 2. a week later no call was made I called cust serv rep #2 and asked to have someone call me. 3. a week later I had not received a call so I called cust serv rep #3 who said she shows an agent was coming out to discuss the contract on May 1st and they would call 30 ahead of the appointment 4. about 30 mins later I get a call from a tech who said he was advised by his supervisor to call me. LOL... I advised him that we had an appointment on May 1st... He advised we don't work on Sunday... I asked him if he could answer my contract questions, he said no, I just apply the treatment. I advised him I already had a treatment. 5. Called cust serv rep #4 and asked to speak to a supervisor. She gave me the supervisor and I explained what I needed she said she would have the local manager call me.I asked for his name and number she advised I don't have that info. I asked for her direct number so if no call came I could call her back, she said no, just call the regular no customer service number... read more

This summer is about the 4th summer that I've been purchasing mosquito treatment for my yard. The technician showed up on time and he was polite. As usual, he performed the service rather quickly, then left. My issue with this company is that when you contact them to make the appointment, you have to listen to a long script and agree to it. Part of that script states that they do NOT retreat if it pours down rain, on the same day, just after they did the spraying. I've probably used 4 or 5 different companies for this treatment and they are the ONLY vendor that refuse the re-treatment, if it rains. Of course it did pour down rain a couple hours after the treatment, so the application was not effective, and a waste of my money. She said this is the policy for Groupon vouchers. Every time I've had the mosquito treatment completed, I've used a Groupon voucher, and the other companies still re-treat. read more

I had Allgood for Termite protection in my house. This year I got an invoice for Active Pest Control, I called Allgood and I was Surprised to know that it's now Active. The customer NO service lady that took my call sounded More like a robot. She informed that All customers were informed of the change at the beginning of the year; well, I NEVER got a letter or an email with the notification, so I asked her to mail me or email me a copy of that and her answer was to go to the Active Pest Control page and read it there. Really?? I kept asking her nicely to mail me a letter with the notice of merging/change and robotically she answered me to go and read it in their website. I asked for her supervisor to speak to, and she replied that there was NO supervisor and she was the only one to talk to. She even threaten me to hang up if I continued "to talk that way". Well, it was I who ended the call. If the NO custome service is like that, then what can be expected of Active Pest Control service; Probably is Not Good. I began getting cockroaches in my home and called for service. they gave me a service window and i took off from work and they no showed. This occurred 3 times with them never showing up and my taking off of work for their windows. I then tried to cancel with them and that's where it got more ridiculous. 3 separate calls where they had no record of my trying to cancel and passing me around to other people. I have complained about the service and was contacted by a manager who told me that if service didn't get better he would cancel my service. I still get tech's that show up for 10 min and leave. I have a 1/2 acre lot they spray a small portion and leave. I have noticed that ants and mosquitos have gotten worse and not better. What ever they are spraying it doesn't work. I was an All Good customer for 25 years. Since Active bought them out customer service has been nonexistent. They don't return phone calls, no longer do Saturday appointments I have yet had a manager call me. On Saturday I was so frustrated I asked to cancel my service. I was told I had to speak to a different department to cancel my service and they were NOT available. So I then asked for the contact for the district manager (who never called me the last time either) and sent an email stating I wanted to cancel my service and why. No response. So I will be calling my credit card company to decline all charges with this awful company since I can't seem to be able to cancel my service. Very timely with regard to the required property inspection (for bond) and subsequent installation. Cost was 1/5 of competitors. Bait traps are bait traps - no need to pay more. Annual maintenance contract is comparable. Significant point - there was no attempt to upsell or 'bait and switch' (a interestingly appropriate phrase). read more

The Sales Manager, Paul, came out and discussed squirrel issues in my attic with me. He is extremely knowledgeable and has been in the business for many years. He did not try and oversell any unnecessary things that were not required. Within days, they were able to secure my home, remove the squirrels, and prevent any future infestation. The technician performing the job, Alex, was also very, very knowledgeable and went above and beyond what I expected Active to do to see that my house appeared as no work had been done to seal up my house. I called multiple times about bug issues and was told a "manager" would get back to me but that never happened. Do not choose their VIP service which locks you into a 2 year contract. I also have the monthly mosquito treatment which has been very effective. Robert is the most professional, pleasant and knowledgable expert I've ever met. I used this company for quarterly service. After about two months I started to get roaches inside my home. This was a reoccurring thing. I would called them for a retreatment. Usually she would say that it would be two weeks until the could get somewhere back and since it would be so close to the next quarterly treatment she would just schedule that. I spoke to the technician and he said I could upgrade to bi-monthly. I would have to pay for two more treatment a year. I called to cancel then service. Very rude person. She cancel that one treatment and they came back 6 months later and sprayed. They said I only cancel the one treatment. Really. I was not happy with your service and they thought I only wanted to cancel one treatment. Have had Termite control with Active for the last 5 years. Had a couple issues with Technicians skipping stations when checking them at my quarterly check. When I called to let them know about this I was told by the receptionist that they didn't skip them and that I was wrong. Fast forward a year and they switched to Centricon system, the technician skipped two stations and just drilled and added new stations rather than finding the ones already in place. During the acquisition of these other companies, apparently their system messed up my credit card information and they showed in their system that my credit card expired, it doesn't expire for another year. I received nothing in the mail and nothing through email, I got a letter in the mail yesterday stating that I owe 3 quarters worth of fees and that they were sending me to collections. Called today to cancel service and the ladies were kind and courteous, first good experience with them so far. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! I was with All Good before they merged with Active. I was so very pleased until Active came on the scene. 1. Active showed up unannounced and wanted to service the inside of my home. Normally with AllGood, I would receive phone call reminders. Additionally, any AllGood appt. was scheduled in advance. At this point, I had no idea there was any partnership of any kind. The technician provided this information. 2. After this spontaneous interaction, I called Active to reschedule service for 360 coverage inside/outside of home, In addition to mosquito services. The representative tells me that the technicians are supposed to schedule appointments before leaving. 3. The technician returns for the scheduled appt. Sprays an overwhelming amount of liquids on my baseboards. He does not schedule any follow-up appt before leaving. 4. The same technician arrives at my house for mosquito service the next week but on the wrong day that I scheduled for. 5. I called Active to cancel services. Didn't ask why I was canceling/didn't seem to care. read more

Horrible experience with Active/Bug Out. I've been a customer for a year and if I've had problems they came out within a day to take care of the problem. I had a small problems with ants in my kitchen and called May 23 to ask for treatment I was told it would be over 2 weeks before someone could come out and address my problem. Obviously I found that unacceptable and they said they were able to "squeeze" me in for the next Monday, May 30. Still wasn't happy but agreed to wait. The 30th was a no call, no show. I didn't follow up because the ants were now fewer and I figured I could wait until my normal service. After a huge rain storm, they were out in force. I called the company again, this time to express my frustration with the lack of service and follow up. I asked to talk to a manager and was told they were all busy and would call me back shortly. If all their managers were too busy to talk to an unhappy customer, then that tells you I'm not the only one that has a problem. No one ever called my back. Each time I called it sounded like they were typing and taking down all the information but each time I called I had to tell my story again. I called the next day and when I still couldn't talk to a manager, I decided to cancel my service. I was again told that someone would call me back with a cancellation confirmation number. but no one called but interestingly enough, I had a call around 5:00p from a service technician to schedule a time to come and treat my problem. Too little, too late. I then called again the next day and again expressed my desire to cancel my account. I was finally transferred to the sales department where I was actually able to cancel my service and received an email with the cancellation and confirmation information. I don't know if they thought if they just ignored my calls and went ahead and sent a technician, I would be satisfied and that would resolve my situation. They were wrong. The lack of follow up and run around I got, plus false corrective actions promised made a bad situation worse. I would never use them again, nor recommend anyone else use them. With how they conduct business, I'm surprised they still have customers. read more
