Horrible customer service. Run don't walk past this pest control company. No response to text or chat other than to ask you to rate the experience. Getting a live person on the phone is next to impossible. If you need service outside of your quarterly routine - good luck! Terrible customer service! I made an appointment a week ago to treat a bug issue in our basement. They were supposed to come today so I took the day off to make sure I was home. At 6:20 am they sent me an email saying they were rescheduling to Saturday (we are out of town this weekend)! When I called to question why they rescheduled, I was told the tech was overbooked for the day and couldn't make it to our house. WTF? Was this not noticed when I made the appt a WEEK ago? And no call or text or anything, just an email saying my appt time was moved (to a day we wont be home). This is unacceptable and we will be changing companies. read more

Man, I wish I had read the reviews before using this company for annual termite service. We have been paying for annual inspection and treatment, and just found out they are not doing anything more than a visual inspection of the foundation for tunnels and any insects. That's it. We recently saw some termites inside/outside my entryway and called them out to do a treatment. For the appointment (which was a week-and-a-half later), we were told someone would come, inspect, provide treatment options, and then do the treatment the same day. Instead, we get an employee who does the same bogus visual inspection, cops an attitude with me ("Like, what would you like me to do?!?!"), and then tells us that's all he's allowed to do; a supervisor/salesperson would have to come on another day, do another inspection, give us treatment options, and then ON YET ANOTHER DAY, someone would come out to do the treatment. I took off of work to get this wrapped up--like, what?!?! On top of all of this, despite having pictures of the termites and examples of winged and wingless termites in a baggy, AND showing the guy rotten railroad ties on a neighbor's property with termite tunneling at the edge of ours that's ate up with termites, this guy puts in his report that there are no signs of any termites. The scheduling service for this company is terrible. You make an appointment and they do not show up. When you call, they say the appointment is not in their system. Meanwhile you have wasted afl day waiting on them. How do you know if the appointment scheduler has or has not entered your appointment correctly? I've had our termite bond with them for years. In mid-October, I received a notice that the annual price was going up. I did the math, and saw it was going up TEN PERCENT. It would renew on November 1. I tried to get ahead of Active Pest Control via email (it's hard for me to get a chance to talk on the phone during the workday). All the customer service email addresses kept bouncing. So, during my lunch break, I called and got put on hold forever before I learned you could text customer service, which I did. To say I received the worst experience is an understatement. I explained the situation to the agent, who took 30 minutes to reply. By the time they did, I had a new agent, so I had to copy/paste the info again. This agent essentially said, "Costs are going up. We have the right to do that." I said, "I get that. But 10% increase with a 2 week head's up?" The agent replied, "Well, technically it doesn't go up until February 2026." I said, "My email says November. Even if it doesn't bill 'til February, I have 2 weeks to find another provider, if I wish, in order for the coverage not to lapse." This went back and forth. The fact that Active just flowed 10% of the costs to the customer without so much as an explanation email, or some sort of "Hey, we'll split out your payment to help," or something else creatively -- this just shows I am just a number. Not even a cookie cutter "I'm sorry for the inconvenience." There was a survey to do afterwards, and that was equally as disastrous. (don't implement A.I. if you don't correctly implement A.I.). Terrible customer support and service !!! Two times cancelled!!! I continued an existing contract with Active Pest when I purchased my home on 2020 until in 2022 I noticed that techs were not treating the space as promised via cameras. I cancelled service. I gave them another chance in July 2025. The primary concerns included bees and wasps. I was assured that not only would their treatment care for the bees and wasps but also secada killers, etc. I renewed the contract 7/18 and was scheduled for 7/23 - a Wednesday. The tech was friendly. My husband and I , who were both there, made it clear that the soffitt critters were still an issue. The technician was nice but did NOT spray the areas we asked about (yep, checked the cameras). We waited 48 hours, thinking it may take a little time to work. It didn't and I was expecting company as my father recently passed away and family was coming over. Saturday morning the issue was still there. I called AP and with empathy, the lady I spoke with said ' a tech will call you & come out before the planned family gathering' - 5pm. No one showed up, no one called. We ran to HD to get some spray . I called to cancel and was advised that AP offers to d more to fix the issue but no refund on the initial fee. Cassandra was nice but Active Pest is so far away from understanding or caring for customers that I will NEVER contract them again and have already spread the work across 2 states. read more

Let me tell you about Active Pest Control. They have been hounding me for over a year and a half about the "contract" that they have had for termite control with me. The previous owner had a contract with them and I have contacted them on three occasions to tell them I do not wish to continue their services. They have arrived unannounced on two different occasions to "remove their traps" from my property -- translation: dig up my yard. I am OVER them and the horse they rode in on. Edit, the company called me and is sending out another tech to give the service that I should have had. Plus going to comp the next service. That's the way to do it! Not at all happy with the service from this company. They bought the company that I was happy with and I have had trouble with them for the past year. My technician did my quarterly service in less than 4 minutes and then sat in his car for more than 15 minutes. My house is on the bigger side so this is unacceptable! Honestly, not even sure how he made it in less than 4 minutes. Glad I've got cameras around my house so I have the proof. I've been waiting on a manager to call me back since 8 am of last Wednesday. The service has gone downhill since AnyPest was acquired by Active Pest, now Rentokil. I used their rodent control service,to combat a mole problem. They used to bait and kill them but now just spread repellent. The moles were back after a month and their recommendation was to try to upsell me into an expensive monthly service. I had few contracts with Active Pest control for two years and I paid for the services in full. The they started to bill me for random things without any receipts, contracts or any proper information. Then the agents gave me all different explanations and answers and never refunded the money back. Clearly showed they had no system in place. They supposedly did an exclusion at my rental but there were pests still getting in again and again, so I had a another company go in and do the job because Active had not done the job after charging me almost $500. I am so over this company. I discontinued service with them months ago because their techs are so unprofessional. They keep coming out to my house and then charging me when I'm not receiving any service from them. They have sent me to collections for an invoice that I knew nothing about. I've been paying for pest control service for quite sometime and when the tech comes they hardly spray anything, leave without contacting me, and when I've reached out to request addl service I get told 4-6 weeks with an 8hr arrival window lol. As few others here, we were transferred to Active from Allgood pest solutions. We had wildlife exclusion service done a few years ago by Allgood, and we are paying annual warranty renewal for it. Warranty transferred to Active. Recently we started noticing evidence of rodents in our house. I thought I'd get these guys out here and help me deal with the issue, it falls under the wildlife exclusion services. Called them 5 times now. Every time they told me they're coming tomorrow, so far no one has showed up. It's been 2 weeks. I tried talking to their managers, but they're never available. I was supposed to get a call back, no one has called. I'm honestly just baffled. I'm kind of used to pretty good service from all companies working in our area, this is the first time I'm running into a company that flat out does not provide the service we've paid for. Obviously we're not going to renew our annual subscription, and I'm going to talk to my bank, see if I can get my money back via a charge back. I'd stay away, plenty of companies providing the same service. That's the craziest part honestly, with so much competition out there, why would you ruin reputation and lose customers? read more

Absolutely the worst service imaginable. I have been paying for service, now realizing they went TO MY NEIGHBORS HOUSE, not mine. I'm so glad I'm switching to a new company. I loved Allgood before they sold out. Now Active is just unprofessional. Their billing system constantly forgets my auto pay info, their scheduling system mis-schedules (or their techs just don't care), and their techs are odd and off-putting (and apparently go to the wrong houses). Stay far away and find a good local company that's not part of a giant conglomerate. It's not worth the money I've paid, and I wish they would just give me my money back. read more

I had the worst experience today with an ACTIVE PEST CONTROL technician. He's set in my driveway for several minutes, never knocked on my door. He started spraying for mosquitoes before he looked to see if my dogs were in the backyard. He also started to leave before spraying for any other bugs. I stopped him before he left and he told me it was too hot to do anymore. UNBELIEVABLE!! THEY CLAIM TO BE A LOCAL PEST CONTROL SERVICE , not true. I talked to people all over the southeast the closest I got to local was Locust Grove Georgia. Zero customer service from the technician or the corporate office! I had Allgood Exterminator Service for many years. Active Pest Control absorbed Allgood, and things went south rapidly. I had the same tech for many years with Allgood. The tech stopped all pests inside and out. I never had spider webs, carpenter bee's bore holes, roaches, or drain flies issues until Active Pest Control serviced my home. They are more concerned with getting their invoices paid than treating pest problems. read more

My pest control company was acquired by Active Pest Control this year and I've had nothing but problems with them since then. Invoices are sent saying my account is past due when I haven't even received an invoice. I added my credit card on file with auto-payment to avoid this issue and still received a past-due invoice. My account was paid in full! I called to confirm and they said "we have a lot of problems with our billing system." I also have problems with scheduling technicians. They show up without any advanced notice. I NEVER had a problem with my previous companies and I'm going to cancel service. I tried to do it on the phone but was told customer service has to send a request to the district for review. Really? Why? Are they going to say no to my request? DON'T use this company!!! I received a reply from Cydney R asking for a direct message to be sent with my account info but I can't find an email for the company anywhere nor is there is an option to reply to their message. It's telling to look back at the Active Pest Control reviews over time. Apparently, they used to be great, but all but 1 of the more recent reviews give them one star. It seems that something bad happened to the firm in their last acquisition. We saw for ourselves how "not good" Active Pest Control is when their employee was a 'no show' for an appointment to determine why their very expensive efforts to keep squirrels out of our attic had failed. We called him and left messages that were never returned. We then called the office and complained. They said they would call us back, but never did! So we cancelled the service. Active Pest Control took over from our previous exterminator last year and the service has been gone downhill ever since. Since that time they stopped doing pest control on the inside and only the outside perimeter. They also seemed to have trouble with billing customers. I received a surprise collections notice saying I was past due for over a year. I saw our exterminator on December and he said nothing about it. They used to hand us a slip to let us know our current account balance and take payment of needed. I immediately paid the collections company what I owed and am completely done with Active Pest Control. read more

I used to be an All Good customer for 30 years. Not notified about new company until March. Gone are scheduled appointments. Now they give you a five hour window, less than 48 hours of when they plan on showing up. Email scheduling appointment does not have time of appointment or phone number to reschedule appointment. They only want to treat the outside unless you make special arrangements. Called them out to treat ants. Made problem worse. Had to request a supervisor to get a retreat quickly. Customer service can be anywhere in US. Wait times today exceeded one hour. Took 2 months to clear up a billing issues. Have spent day trying to get a supervisor to call me back. Unsuccessful. Now waiting for a billing supervisor/manager to call me back to cancel and get a refund on pest control. read more

Their system automatically cancels an appointment scheduled n they can't figure out how, even the district manager doesn't have a clue why n they're least bothered to investigate. Last week . Last year I had wildlife service done including insulation. Technicians who worked on all the entry points never explained what kind of material they'll be using, neither they took pics. Last week I had an inspection done in my attic n asked for pics from last year's service he said he'll inform them n they'll call in 72 hrs but no one did. I would not recommend them at all. Then we notice more and more bugs and realized after awhile no tech was ever showing up based on our ring camera, yet were still being auto debited. We canceled and now they are sending us collection notices for no payment!!! This place is awful. They never came to get their bate traps so the new company took them out and we had them in a bag for months. Now, almost SIX months later, Active wants to come take them out. Well, I have news for you, they were ready for you and you dropped the ball and never came to the appointment...they are long gone. Get your act together!!!
