Now, their waiting area is very comfortable with new furniture and a great flat screen tv plus coffee! This beats the waiting area at the Wappinger Falls Mercedes Benz dealership (an establishment I detest), believe it or not. Phone service is now very responsive and cheerful. Now, I'm not saying C&J's was no good (they actually gave me a ride home when a quick fix turned out to be a much bigger deal and didn't want me to waste my time sitting in the waiting room). Still, the new owners seem to be highly motivated to make this a repair shop you don't mind going to, offering numerous amenities as previously noted. I think these guys will get all my business now. They're close, convenient, have a nice waiting room, and are very friendly. Definitely recommended!

I most recently had a breakdown of my vehicle which was believed to be my alternator (which made sense because I had just recently replaced my battery ) The replacement of a new alternator was going to cost a substantial amount of money, after giving them the green light to work on my vehicle and showing up to pick up my vehicle I found that they were super professional, communicative and informative handing me the faulty cable connector that caused my original alternator to not work efficient- I find this type of integrity and honesty to be bar none and feel that more mechanic shops should use this type of customer service this is the kind of place you can be sure won't take advantage of you! I Hate To be a negative glass half empty person But I feel most mechanic shops would've changed the part anyways to turn a profit.

Apparently, it stuck in his craw because he just today sent me harassing vulgar messages laden with profanity thru the Nextdoor application. From a review from three years ago. I feel the other reviews, especially the unrecommended ones speak volumes about this petty little man. The littlest dog tends to yap the loudest. In fact, we used to patronize this business all the time when Bill Pardy and Phil owned it. Not anymore with this potty mouthed little guy who apparently solves issues by challenging people to "say it to his face" LOL (which, we in fact DID at the time and he responded very rudely). Over 50 cents!!!! Really? Are we back in junior high school? Looks like from the other reviews, quite a few customers have been treated rudely, but the owner appears to be in denial about it. I guess the truth hurts. The engine he installed and claimed was…read morea good working engine had a head gasket problem, that was leaking fluid in to the block, needless to say the truck only went for 3 months before going bad, Frank, only said that he had the misfortune of hiring a bad mechanic (Terry which he has fired since than). He said at first he was going to get me another engine. just give him a little time, I called him back months later at which time he told me that it was my tough luck and he was not going to do anything for me; He charged me $ 2400.00 and he would not stand behind it.

And the shop was recommended by a high-end car dealership owner from just down 52 for a brand new Mini Cooper with scratches and a quarter panel replacement for a young Hyundai Santa Fe. Both cars came back looking like new in short order with great service from nice people. Both jobs were auto body repairs, not mechanical ones. My highest recommendation for body repairs.
