Great people to deal with. They did a large project for me and I was very very happy.

Disappointed with service call. Tech came late then charges over $100 to look at unit for 5 minutes

Jon Uzarski Plumbing & Heating

Some of you may already know what a hassle it can be finding a reliable professional contractor at…read morea fair price. There is no hassle with Mr. Uzarski! I found Jon here on Yelp and called to see if he was interested in replacing my water softener and installing a rather large whole-house carbon filter. He asked me to email him the link to carbon filter I was considering, to get the ball rolling, and then he responded telling me the filter was appropriate so I could order it online. He scheduled an appointment for an estimate and then to complete the work, both in a timely manner. He gave me an estimate of time and his hourly rate which was very fair. I was impressed with the design of the brass pipes he built to my filter and then to my softener. He mounted the filter in a position so that it will be easy to replace the cartridge, and I am sure planned it that way. He also quickly fixed a leak in the basement sink faucet and installed a new faucet/drain in the bathroom. Jon is humble but confident, the type of confidence that can only come from having the proper education and experience. He is very professional, polite, sincere, easy to deal with, reliable, and has a very nice personality. I would recommend him confidently to my best friends and family!

Here is a draft of the review that balances your appreciation for their technical skill with your…read morevalid frustrations regarding their pricing structure. Review for Roto-Rooter Rating: I have mixed feelings about my recent experience with Roto-Rooter. On one hand, their technicians are excellent. This was my second time in less than a year having the same sink snaked, and just like the first time, the plumber was professional, timely, neat, and successfully unclogged the drain. If you are in an emergency and need someone reliable who will get the job done right, they are definitely the way to go. However, I find it increasingly difficult to justify using them as a "go-to" service due to the lack of incentive for loyal customers. Paying full price for the same recurring issue within a single year feels steep. While the plumber did offer a $100 discount this time, that is a standard coupon amount I likely could have found elsewhere. What is more frustrating is that I've gone above and beyond to prevent this: * I purchased their proprietary maintenance cleaner (at 3x the price of standard retail cleaners) and used it exactly as instructed. * As a two-family household, we are extremely cognizant of what goes down our drains. * We previously used them for a major sewer line repair--a nearly five-figure job--less than five years ago. I would expect that level of history and investment to place us in a "high-value client" bracket with better pricing protection. The reality is that if it isn't an emergency, there are much more affordable options available for a standard drain snaking. Summary: Great quality and highly reliable, but the pricing model doesn't seem to value repeat customers or long-term loyalty. -- Jason

I told him "no" and he offered a $100 discount with a 6 month warranty. I told him to leave. The whole thing was a waste of time for a company that insisted they can't give a quote over the phone - but when they arrive, they don't even look at the sink and just give a verbal quote. Pretty sure you could have done that over the phone and avoided wasting everyone's time.
