Bingo! Found it! The name of his company says it all! Honest? Yes. Explained things to me in a way I could understand since I have no knowledge about HVAC units. Told me options and explained his thought process behind it. My HVAC needed Freon. And it got what it needed. And now it is no longer in the 90° range inside the house. Another big perk is that he is a local from Mount Juliet. I really do like to support local businesses and this is one that I would use again if I needed. 17/10 recommend!

Dave was one of the first people to respond to my request, and came out to investigate what the issue was. I appreciated that Dave talked me through what he was doing and how the AC unit & thermostat worked so I understood some basics of why things were not functioning correctly. It turned out there was a larger issue with the unit, and Dave was able to procure the parts and fix the unit in a timely manner. He also helped us install new thermostats and everything is running smoothly now! Dave is efficient with the work and an excellent communicator. We highly recommend his HVAC services!

The photos are of the new doorbells Airstream installed for me last summer and it has already been a huge help along with the porch light in identifying and dealing with unexpected visitors (good and bad, mostly good). As for our HVAC we have had considerable work done on it over the past year, and at every step Airstream was honest, professional, and transparent with their pricing while respecting our budget and time. After the 2026 winter storm, we found that the system had been taxed significantly and Airstream has worked with us over the past few months to get it back into tip-top shape for the summer heat. Each time the work has been done efficiently and with minimal interference in our daily activities and minimal stress on our our pets. I can not recomend this company enough, and look forward to continuing to work with them.

Nothing fancy; just clean and check the unit for the summer. That's when they came to my house and told me that my unit had over five problems, including leaking refrigerant, bad capacitors, electrical work, etc. Funny enough, their first quote was for 8k, which was to "fix these terrible problems." However, they gave me another crazier solution, to get a brand new unit, which was only 2 tons for a small house for 11k. Kid, you not. I went and got a second opinion, and as I suspected, my HVAC connections weren't the prettiest, but had no problems. The other HVAC professional also found out that they only cleaned a portion of the unit, so he installed a new disconnect, re-did my drain line, sealed my flashing, and rewashed my unit for $600 bucks. Do it at your own risk. I have never seen something like this, not even when I used to live in NY they tried to upcharge me like that.

They didn't show last week and didn't reschedule this time, so I guess I need to give them a call.

I was having problems with my thermostat not accurately regulating the temperature in my home. I…read morecontacted another provider the week prior who checked my HVAC but was not able to determine the specific reason why the inaccurate temperature readings were occurring. This provider did state, however, it definitely WAS NOT my compressor nor my panel board since these two systems were thoroughly checked and tested. I contacted American Veteran's United (AVU) (formerly Maynard) who came to assess the same problem and said I just needed a new thermostat. The "new" thermostat worked for 2 1/2 days, then went back to inaccurate temperature readings. I contacted AVU again and the same technician came, evaluated the system again, and stated I now needed a new compressor package costing $1499.00. My HVAC was purchased on 11/2024 and should NOT need a new compressor; but the technician stated AVU (formerly Maynard) has no control over the parts received, but if I purchased the new compressor, it "will probably" resolve the problem. I reconsidered the estimate and sought another opinion. My HVAC was reassessed by the previous provider who found (and I personally observed) the AVU technician DID NOT: 1) Connect the "C" wire to the thermostat; 2) Program the "new" thermostat in its entirety (which required using the online programming guide); 3) Reconnect all the outside panels and tubing [with four (4) screws missing & one screw broken off]; 4) Connect the "heat" line from the panel board (which had been pulled out and prevented receiving heat); and 5) Check the fuses to see if they were burned out. The compressor DID NOT require replacing at all! Based solely upon my personal experiences with AVU/Maynard, it appears their HVAC "assessments" have a tendency to be inaccurate and DEFINITELY require a 2nd opinion. Their equipment is marginal at best; and if I had proceeded with AVU's recommendations, I would have spent in excess of $1499.00; when it was fixed for less than $400.00. I believe people of advanced age (especially single women) are a population that AVU targets for "recommended" exorbitant charges. The older population needs to proceed with caution with this provider.
