After initial emails and a call with Carlos, we set up a meeting to review our needs at our house. Throughout the entire process, Carlos was prompt in replying and always very helpful and gave us great customer service. When his team arrived to complete the install, the work was also completed professionally. The team of three wore masks and shoe covers when inside the house. They were very courteous and explained everything they were doing prior to doing the work. I was really impressed by the job from start to finish. I'd recommend Carlos and Security Doctors.

We have had two small issues since then (not to do with the quality of work, just minor snafus) and Don responded to me right away and helped me fix the problem. It was late in the day because the original company I called was a no-show. Chicago Locksmiths said they could do it and gave me a same day time window. Excellent communication: The technician called me at the start of the time window to tell me he was on another job, but would be there within 2 hours. This allowed me to get on with my day rather than waiting by the window/the phone (as the other company had left me to do all day). The technician then called me when he had finished the previous job and gave me a time frame of when he would get to me. As it was quite late I decided to reschedule for the next day. The same evening Chicago Locksmiths called me to confirm a next day appointment time. On the morning of my appointment the new technician called to say he was on his way with an ETA for arrival and called when he reached me. The communication was excellent and meant I could do other things because I knew Chicago Locksmith was keeping me updated on the status of my appointment. For the appointment itself, the technician was great. Explained everything, gave me advice on one of the doors which was coming loose off the hinge. Re-keyed my lock quickly and cleaned up afterwards. I will certainly use Chicago Locksmiths again. Great service, and impeccable customer communication!

I hadn't had any luck finding a reputable company asking friends, family, or neighbors, so I decided to google local companies who might be able to help. That's how I found Video-Comm. The reviews looked promising, so I gave them a call. Rafael answered and agreed to come over the same day. I told him the cameras over my garage were out, and he agreed to try and repair them. Rafael told me there'd be a service fee plus the cost of labor. He quoted me a conservative estimate of about $300. Rafael and his colleague Diego arrived on time and ready to work. I left them to work in the rear of the property while I tended to my yard. They worked diligently for about three hours before successfully repairing the cameras. It turns out that the wires needed to be replaced. Rafael and Diego replaced the existing wires with copper wires and rewired them. I'm not sure of all the technical jargon, but that was the gist of it. Rafael and Diego had their own truck that had all the equipment they needed. They were quiet and respectful of the property. They cleaned up after themselves, leaving the space as they first encountered it. The final bill was $308. I found Rafael competent, professional, and affable. I'll definitely be calling him again if necessary. In fact, I asked him to send over a quote for an upgraded set of cameras. Now that I've found someone I trust, I'll definitely get new cameras sometime soon.

Last summer, we had a break-in at our condo entrance, and found a need for a Full Length Interlocking Door Guard. (Highly recommended as burglars love to shimmy a screwdriver between your door and lock & open into your place easier than a SPAM can.) Pro Video Security let us select the guard. They gave a great bid to put install. We even chose to do 2 doors, given their great rate. Flash forward to 6 months later we found a small (but significant) installation error on one of the doors. Rather than haggle and hassle, they came right out and fixed it at ZERO extra cost. (As expected.) On top of that: The fix came right on time. We caught this picture of a rather infamous trio (USPS is after them) trying to break in and being foiled by the door guard. SEE PIC.

Stefan was extremely knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and clearly takes pride in his work. He took the time to ensure everything was perfectly aligned, secure, and clean. I especially appreciated his patience--he walked us through different height options and gave thoughtful recommendations. We even changed our minds during the measuring stage, and he happily showed us the new dimensions again and was very accommodating. He was quick and knew what he was doing, didn't need frame template. What really stood out was the attention to detail. I've never had an installer go the extra mile like this--Stefan and his partner spent time thoroughly cleaning the TV screen and even wiped down the console area.
