I spoke with three different individuals during this process, and the original price I was quoted was not a rate that appears to correspond with any of your established vehicle classifications. When I questioned the amount after receiving a different quote, one of the individuals I spoke with even commented that the price "seemed a little high," but stated that it was the amount provided by management. Additionally, your response states that pricing is predetermined and not set by your staff. While I understand that there are fixed state fees for documentation and registration, your business also charges service or business fees, which are determined by your company and contribute to your revenue. As a business that has operated successfully for 25 years, it is clear that these fees are part of your business model. My intention is not to argue, but simply to set the record straight regarding my experience and the information that was provided to me throughout this process.

I requested a quote to recharge the AC system on a truck by method of evacuating and recovering the existing freon gas, vacuum testing the system for leaks, and then pumping the recovered gas back in along with any extra gas needed to meet factory spec. They were the first to respond (in what seem like less than 10 mins) with a base price plus a TBD cost of add'l freon I'd need. Their price was the lowest compared to all other Yelp responses I received by at least $40. Based off this very limited interaction, I'd recommend reaching out to them if you ever need any services.

He noticed that the system wasn't fully ready yet and explained that I needed to drive around 50 miles for everything to reset properly. Instead of going ahead with the test and charging me for a failure, he was completely upfront and told me to come back once the car was ready. That level of honesty is rare. He could have easily run the test and charged me, but he chose to do the right thing. Really appreciate the transparency and professionalism. The gentleman on the phone said the transmission fluid is for life unless I'm towing or carrying heavy loads. When I questioned why I see that it's recommended online he says that dealers will recommend this service all day but if you check the Toyota maintenance manual it says you don't need it. Man! I haven't even been to this shop yet and I'm already getting a good feeling about this place. It's a bit more expensive for an oil change than other places that have quoted me, but I like that they use factory parts including Toyota oil filters. I'll update this review once I get the car in for my first visit. Stay tuned.... 6/29/26 - Brought my Sienna in for an oil change + complimentary 30-point inspection (since it was my first time there). Jared took the van for a spin, brought it back and lifted it up. They found a little oil seepage coming out of the transfer case. I let them know that I did see a transfer case drain/fill on the CarFax report before I bought it. Jared thinks they just didn't torque it properly so they were going to retorque and clean up around the area and keep an eye on it. Worst case scenario, they would need to order a new drain plug gasket and I'd have to come back to get it replaced. Thankfully, the drain plug just needed to get tightened. I was in and out in almost exactly an hour just as Robert promised. Thanks The Toy Shop team!! Pro Tip: they are booked out at least a week in advanced so make your appointment ASAP!

Mr. Kim, John, his son that runs the day to day, Mike, Mario and Mr. Han are the most professional, honest and nicest people you'll ever meet. It gets busy there and I've noticed some reviews of rudeness and impatience. I've never ever experienced such. I'm certain, in those instances, the shop was full and those dissatisfied people did not have the patience. Guaranteed that if you're the first one there in the morning, their attentiveness is spot-on. John runs an extremely professional, honest business and I fully recommend them to anyone needing any sort of automotive service. They are highly rated and have been in business a very long time. Again, just make sure you get there early. They are always busy for a reason.

WELL !!! Here's an update .. So it's been quite some time since my vehicle and I have been on the road and ironically after speaking to a few other business related folks on my issue with Action Auto, Later on that night apx two weeks ago I got a call from the owner Nat and mentioned some of the things that I had already mentioned in the post. He said that he wasn't aware of these post and that the manager hasn't mentioned anything to him. I found it quite interesting that he responded to some of the better post but somehow didn't see my several. Anyhow I kinda thought he would be a lot more sensitive to this matter and feel deciated to finding out more, instead of being on the defensive in solving the matter self consciously and coming to an conclusion which makes me feel even more hesitant to taking my vehicle back to the scene of the crime. But I still remain unsure with taking it up on myself to get my vehicle to the shop to be found quiity of driving it under regular conditions, as I have always done with no issues I'm sure with a QUOTE" 40 year business , as stated..I'm sure 30 bucks for a tow and a need to know would be a very simple process to arrange. I will look forward to Action Auto ( Owner Only ) reaching out to me and see this matter through even though being hesitant. Would love to confirm their findings and "Actions" auto's attempt to resolve so I can get my vehicle back on the road after a very long enough time, being unsued, but a always need vehicle to dropping off and picking the heavier things around the house " It's greatly missed". Thanks to YELP I was able to find Action Auto Inc. - Cypress, CA. I had been going to another auto repair shop, for over 17 years, only to find that the last time I went there they parked my car on a side street (unattended and no work being done on it for almost three days), then I was charged for parts not replaced and work not done. YELP came through for me. I presented my problem to Brett Heskett (General Manager). From the very beginning Brett treated me with respect, he listened to me and showed an interest in "solving my problems"; Brett made me feel as if I was a "very important person", and not just another customer. The entire Action Auto Team demonstrated an interest in solving my repair problem. Bruce "The Repair Wizard" Stodghill - Lead Master Technician was assigned to solving my very complicated electrical/electronic controls problem. I followed along with Bruce and was able to observe his approach to "problem identification, and problem resolution". Bruce wasted no time, his methodology and approach to trouble-shooting was flawless. There was no waste of my time (which translates to lost money). My entire interfacing with the Action Auto people (Brett, Bruce, Tristan, Randy, and Carlton) left me with a favorable opinion of this business; I cannot say enough good words about Action Auto, Inc. It is obvious, the AA people all believe in honesty, honor, and integrity. The people at Action Auto are not just a bunch of auto mechanics; they are a team of auto repair professionals. I recently brought my vehicle to Action Auto Inc for a smog check, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. The location, along Walker St near the corner of Lincoln Ave, is easily accessible with ample street parking. Upon entering, I was impressed by the clean and well-organized showroom and waiting room. There's even a dedicated section for kids, a thoughtful touch for families. Brett warmly welcomed me, setting a friendly tone for the visit. Noel, who performed the smog check, was both friendly and knowledgeable about my vehicle. The process was swift, taking only 20-30 minutes. If you get a chance to peek into the mechanic bays, you'll notice the pride they take in maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Jesse efficiently handled the paperwork, ensuring a smooth conclusion to my visit. Pricing is fair. Great value if their Yelp deal is still valid. The limited parking didn't pose an issue, thanks to the available street parking. Overall, Action Auto Inc provides excellent auto care services, and I'll certainly be returning for future needs. Unbelievable. Do not ever go to this company. We went in for a simple smog check. Absolute scammers. Luckily my neighbor is an auto mechanic and was able to confirm that Action Auto ripoff automotive repair was trying to rip us off. He referred us to a smog certification company that he knows the owners. They took one look at the report and said that Action Ripoff auto repair said the vehicle was not passing a test that was not even required to be passed. Then when I brought the vehicle to a known reputable smog certification guy and showed him the printout from Action Ripoff Auto, the vehicle was no longer passing the tests on his system. He was certain the adjusted the emissions system to fail before I took the car back. Action Ripoff Auto wanted $700.00 to replace a cap. My auto mechanic neihbor said that there is nothing that could have done that would have cost $700. Don't ever go to these scammers. What a bunch of rippoff artists. This is so infuriating. read more

I have dealt with Action Auto for 10 plus years. They make sure the work quote is accurate and call if there are any changes. They stand behind their work and replace or fix items when needed according to the appropriate warranty. All my vehicles are serviced and repaired by Action Auto. I have had no problems with any work they have completed on any of the family vehicles. All their employees are service oriented and they keep a clean shop and have a comfortable waiting area. I have recommended Action Auto to friends and other family members and they had the same experience that I had at Action Auto. Due to the above I have no plans to take any of my vehicles anywhere else but Action Auto. read more

Fast, Friendly Service for My Tundra Just got my 2008 Toyota Tundra back from Action Auto for an oil change and a much-needed engine hood support replacement, and I'm really happy with the service! The oil change was quick and efficient, exactly what you need to get back on the road without a hassle. What impressed me even more was how they handled the hood support. I've been dealing with Action Auto since 1999. I've had many cars & trucks repaired by them, always at a fare price and the work done very reliable. I have also bought cars from them, many do not know they use to sell cars also. I liked the way they went throught and made sure the cars I bought were good running and looked good. They would also put new rims on some of them. The one feature that I like best about Action Auto is they will steam clean your engine for $35 top end, $45 for top & bottom. the best thing about that is I kept my engine clean even when I sold cars with over a 100,00 miles I still got top dollar for it. thanks to all the employees Action Auto especially Carlton. the auto techs did a beyond fantastic job diagnosing my 1989 Ford F-250, it drives like the day i drive it off the show room floor. i had taken it to be repaired to a hand full of shops over the last ten years and none of them would spend the time to fix it properly. Just left Action for rear brakes and rotors. They are always so helpful and fair. I was at the Orange County Volvo earlier today and was so ripped off, but Action Auto was willing to do the work for 1/2 the price and even helped me with my other "issue" with my fuel system. They went out of their way to assist me and answer all of my questions. I still remember the time when I first went there for a burned out rear tail light a few years ago. When I came to the front desk to pay, they said it was free but asked for referrals. They are honest and upfront, i highly suggest you send your cars there ALL THE TIME!!!! read more

I have been going to Action Auto almost 4 years now. Pretty much all my cars and my wife cars are been serviced here for everything. They have serviced my BMW, Honda Accord, Honda Civic and Honda CRV. Very convenient and quick. These guyz will tell you what's needed and takes a good care of the car. I have been pretty happy over the years ... I have done oil changes, engine flush, break pad changes, filter, A/C fix, engine belt changes, mileage maintenances, o2 fixes ..etc. They call up after the service to make sure everything went ok. Brett is a Royal Smartass to Customers!! I even saw him hitting on a married woman right in front of other customers! I don't know if he is married or not, but this guy is screwed in the head! Worst Customer Service I have had in my lifetime here!! And the prices he charged me, you would think they had rocket scientists working on my front end. Took them several tries until I got fed up and took my business elsewhere. If you haven't done business with them yet, save your time and money! The service was great here they have good customer service and they even had fresh popcorn in the waiting area. Oh and not to mention the bathroom were actually clean. I usually don't like waiting for my car to get service because I hate the fact that I need to use the restroom from time to time at some of these shops but this one was fine no issues and well-maintained. Brett and his fantastic team saved us over $100 over what a dealer had quoted us with an incorrect diagnosis regarding a continuing warning light for a tire pressure issue on our recently purchased 2017 Honda Civic that only had 30,000 miles on it when purchased. Dealership did not address the issue and was pointing out another problem that turned out, in fact, not to be a problem. I love Action Auto. Whenever my car is having issues, I take it there right away. My most recent automobile adventure had my Cavalier squeaking obnoxiously loud every time I pressed my foot on the brake. Upon inspection, Jeremy informed me that my belts just needed a quick fix. They were a little rusty due to the rain we have been having in southern California. I have been a regular customer at Action Auto for more than a decade. I drive a Nissan mini-pickup and Action Auto has done all my maintenance during 11 years. The place is so good, I will not take my cars anywhere else. The manager at Action Auto tells me clearly what my pickup needs. After running through the diagnostics and inspections, which didn't align with his initial diagnoses, he reasoned the negative cable wasn't connected to my engine bay and properly secured to the body, resulting in poor ignition and the dashboard warnings due to a poor electrical connection. The above shows Fred's honesty and integrity in getting to the root of the problem with my car, thoroughly explaining it, and providing a solution while saving his customer money.
