    SecurePro has been a phenomenal security company to work with, especially as a new business owner…read more I share a parking lot with them, so they were the first company I contacted when shopping around for security systems installation. Not only were they the best available price, but were able to get things set up very quickly. They are always available if issues arise (always my fault, nothing wrong with the system), and have reached out on numerous occasions to check that everything is working and to our satisfaction. For me, being able to talk to experienced personnel, who are familiar with our system, and not dealing with a remote call center is very important, and they have excelled in that aspect. Jason, who is part of their support staff, went out of his way to help with a minor issue I was having in real time, and fixed the problem. He even personally walks packages and mail over to our location if they are delivered to their unit instead of ours. The installation technician Tyler was extremely helpful in setting up our system, and took additional time to walk me through the system and it's functions, including how the sensors work, where they are placed, and the control panel and remote app to ensure that I was able to use the system properly. Finally, the sales manager Lina, has been beyond helpful with making sure our needs are met when it comes to security, and has followed up with us regarding potential issues to ensure we are satisfied with everything. They are awesome neighbors and a great company if you are considering security system needs.

Other commercial fire alarm companies in SB, Venture, Oxnard, and LA were harder to communicate and work with. But SecurePro gave us a competitive price, were great communicators, and efficiently installed everything by working around when different rooms were available at our motel. We would wholeheartedly recommend them to any businesses that need commercial fire alarm repair, replacement, and monitoring.

My home and property are not without challenges and idiosyncrasies, and the guys at Hi Fi Club overcame them all. I had a complicated yet limited sound system with a big footprint, outdated internet software and slow speeds, cumbersome controls for TV and sound, and older TVs. Ric and Nathan evaluated my needs and presented proposals, and then they got to work. This large job began right as the Coronavirus pandemic became serious, yet they didn't skip a beat. All those working in the house wore mask, gloves and booties. They always communicated with me, and oftentimes by text, so social distancing could be accomplished. What a gift I have ended up with. I no longer limp along with slow internet speed. I have state-of-the-art sound and smart TVs, all controlled by one simple remote located in each room (I can also use my phone). I've been subscribed to a very reasonable 24/7 support service through HiFi Club. I have an advocate when dealing with Cox Communications, but they set me up with Roku, so I can "cut the cord" with Cox any time. I have music in rooms where I didn't before, and existing speakers have been calibrated using a non-invasive cutting-edge Bluetooth program. Outdoor speakers have changed my backyard experience. And, the TVs in my bedroom and guest room turn into framed works of art when the TV is off. Honestly, I couldn't be happier with what Hi Fi Club has done for me. The guys at HiFi Club are highly professional, but really fun to work with. The owners were intimately involved with the installation here, and emphasized often that they weren't happy until I was happy. These are all good people and I trust and respect them, and make this recommendation without reservations.

    VERY Unhappy Customer here. Central Coast AV / Ventura Smart Home installed a $34,000 AV system in…read moremy parents home under my supervision. This includes an over $6,000 Araknis internet system which they insisted upon instead of Google Wifi because they would use it to 'monitor, troubleshoot, and fix issues proactively and remotely'. The system has been really shoddy and super slow for years and we thought it was because of our ISP. We just upgraded to gigabit ethernet, got it working well from the modem, but once we plugged the modem into the expensive Araknis system they recommended, we're still getting speeds of 5mbps and it cuts in and out constantly. I reached out to Chris Wilson, who is an owner and did our original installation, a week ago, and got no response. I called multiple times and only got through once - a guy named Juan, who on Friday promised to set a site visit for Monday. I sent him an email with my information and thanked him. Today, he decided to instead reply and saying the following: "I am sorry to inform you, but it appears that your system is no longer under any warranty.  Additionally we can no longer service your system.  I apologize for the inconvenience." Central Coast AV will convince you you need more than you do, overcharge you, and then ignore you if you ever experience issues or need service. Stay away or they'll take advantage of you too!

When it came time for the walkthrough, the technician failed to show up during our scheduled window. No call, no text, nothing. When I reached out myself, I was told he had known most of the day he wouldn't make it but no one bothered to let me know. I stayed home from work for the appointment. When I raised the issue and asked for a discount to continue, they chose to terminate the project entirely rather than take any accountability. Weeks of my time wasted. If you value your time and expect basic communication from people you're paying, look elsewhere.

Stan Zeiden, their analog specialist, not only restored it but also restored my appreciation for the unparalleled experience of sitting and listening to a record. He was honest and caring, and he wanted the best for me and my family. Talking to him on the phone felt great - like an old-fashioned telephone conversation seldom experienced these days. He asked what kind of stereo system we have, what kind of music we listen to, and fixed our turntable accordingly, making recommendations for a good cartridge and stylus, and later sold me a brush to care for our records. He also conveyed instructions on how to care for our system long-term. What's more? He managed to get it done before Christmas! My father, an audio engineer, sat with me and listened to Blood Sweat and Tears - it was the best listening experience I'd had in a LONG time. We're quite happy and I have since been back for a great set of cables and a fuse for one of our ADS L810 speakers. All of the staff at Shelley's have taken great care of me. I would highly recommend Shelley's and Stan for any of your high-quality audiophile listening needs.
