Service was great! My mushroom and Swiss was yummy! Hubby's cheese curds were very good with homemade ranch dressing which is hard to find. Thank you Yelp for helping us find this burger joint. P.s. the peach match tea was good too. read more

Acres is the first place to eat on our Route 66 trip. Located across from the Civil War Memorial, Acres is a contemporary comfort food cafe with a coffee bar upfront . The food is of adequate portions. I had the chicken and bean soup. I was hungry and it was fine, but it was more of a tomato sauce, bean and onion soup. Perhaps a couple pieces of chicken. The crispy potatoes were good and served hot. Everything serviced hot. We were seated quickly. Fast friendly (but not over done with the pet names) service. I would come again to try the sandwiches. read more

The Barbacoa sandwich has some of the most amazing flavors I've experienced with a sandwich like this. The meat was so tender, the onions /peppers were sweet, the sauce so good, and the bread was so soft and had a nice crisp on the outside. The meat was a little spicy but I really enjoyed it however just wanted to point that out for those who may be sensitive to a little heat. The Brussels sprouts had so much flavor. There was a sweet, vinegar, mustard flavor that together really brought out an amazing flavor. The staff were so nice and helped make some awesome recommendations. The ambiance was very welcoming and comfy feeling. The chai tea was some of the best. The chai was perfect it wasn't too spicy and wasn't too sweat like some can be. All around a great experience and I highly recommend this place. read more

We stopped in for a snack and we were not disappointed! Summer squash salad was flavorful and refreshing after walking in the sun. My son got the cheese curds and raved that they were delicious and the homemade ranch was tangy and perfect. We both got shakes that were homemade and tasted great! Our only complaint is we weren't hungry enough to get a full meal. We saw other food come out that looked amazing. If we come back to Pontiac we will definitely return. read more

Service was great and food was ok, a bit cold, but 50 dollars for two sandwiches and chips and soda is insane Meaning a patty melt and a fried chicken sandwich in a small town doesn't cost 50 dollars even with chips and dip and cokes read more

Food great tasting and fair price, sandwich is big enough to split. Staff friendly too.

Had a wonderful lunch. Restaurant is conveniently located near the Adventure Cycling rout from Saint Louis to Chicago. Food was delicious and the staff was very efficient and engaging.. read more

Good food, and friendly staff. Ots such a cosy atmosphere. I love that it's locally sorced, farm to table. I so glad they added the ice cream. read more

Food- we had two of the Acres Double Cheeseburgers and they were cooked perfectly, juicy and seemed like homemade pickles. If looking for a burger that simply melts in your mouth, this is it! Delicious!!! The breaded tenderloin was good too. Maybe a little overcooked on the perimeter of the tenderloin, but the inside was fantastic. The potatoes that we ordered with the sandwiches were cooked perfectly and the right size! They were out of pork/bbq and barbacoa, so that somewhat limited our choices. They were also out of cheese curds and Brussel Sprouts. So, not sure if they run out quickly or due to being the weekend, they were out. The restaurant was quaint and very clean, and the service was fantastic. Will definitely come back in the area. read more

Cute, casual. Passing through the area driving route 66. Dropped in looking for something tasty after checking out the Route 66 Illinois Hall of Fame & Museum. We ordered IPAs, a taco and a burger. They had a selection of baked goods (we picked up a brownie to go). Case full of locally made ice creams with tempting flavor names that we would try in the future if we were local. Super friendly server. read more

Stopped in with my family for a late lunch and was blown away by how great this place was. Not only was the staff lovely but the food was out of this world. They had a diverse menu of sandwiches, salads, side and specials!! I had the smoked barbacoa sandwich and tried the Brussels sprouts off the specials (wow some of the best I've had). Clearly there's is talent coming out of the kitchen and the same goes for the lovely barista at the front. Make sure to try a cookie and coffee on your way out you won't regret it! read more

Acres is by far the best place in town! Stop in to get a delicious meal, wonderful service or the best iced coffee around. The care and quality never goes unnoticed. The staff is friendly, hardworking, and helpful. They have the best mushroom & swiss burger I've ever had! I always look forward to their flavor of the week for their lattes. read more

We stopped for a late lunch and were blown away by the quality of the food and the speed of the service. Everything was so fresh and delicious and you can tell that many of the items are made in-house. I'm so glad I checked the reviews for places in Pontiac while my family and I were staying for a night. This place was such a gem. I got the Korean bbq chicken sandwich which was crispy on the outside and super tender on the inside. It definitely has a good kick of spice with that sauce. I never order chicken sandwiches because I prefer the texture of burgers but this was absolutely perfect. We also ordered the crispy potatoes which were some of the best cooked potatoes I've ever had. My parents loved their sandwich and smash burger. They also had a great selection of milks, drinks, frozen meats, and different little food and home products to buy. read more

Wow! So glad we stopped at Acresinn instead of settling for fast food on the way to St. Louis. Just a few miles off the highway and so worth the stop. Sunny and cute cafe vibe with a small bar. Brussel sprouts were the best we've ever had, the Roll Tribe pulled chicken sandwich was excellent and soup of the day, a spicy, red creamy cabbage combo was delicious. Good selection of craft beers, we ordered Triptychs's Dank Meme Hazy IPA, very nice. Split everything with my hubs and was the perfect amount. Bill was about $35. You should definitely check this small town gem out! read more

Burgers and Chicken Sandwiches were excellent, came out fast. It's a little small but they get through people quickly and worth a wait.

This place was great! We were on an RV trip and came across this place on Yelp. Got off the exit and had smash burgers, patty melt, Korean chicken sandwich. Also for a side brussel sprouts and potato salad! Omg so good! Also got 4 cheesecakes to go! Hidden gem in Pontiac! Service was very good and attentive! Highly recommend! read more

Amazing. Must try the peach tea and buffalo chicken sandwich. Chips and dip was good too.

Stopped by on our route from Chicago to TX and I am super happy that we did! We were super hungry so called in our order before we arrived. General: Most of the food is locally sourced and when checking out, the woman at the register informed me she was the baker here- she makes cookies and cheesecake cups + whatever else she's inspired to whip up with the ingredients they sourced that week. Every employee we interacted with here were super sweet and helpful. Food: My husband got one of the weekly specials- the Taco Burger and I ordered the Smash Burger. We also got a full sized garden salad & a side of crispy potatoes to share. The garlic croutons were delicious (and I'm usually not a fan of croutons) and I would have preferred a bit more tomatoes and cucumber. The Taco Burger was a bit spicy w/ all the jalapeños but very tasty, and I really enjoyed my Smash Burger (I did add some mixed greens from my salad for a crunch). The burgers both have double patties and they're each pretty thin so cooked medium-well, & you can't select another way to cook them, but not dry at all. The crispy potatoes were seasoned well but a bit too thickly cut for our preference (but still tasty). After eating outside we decided to share a dessert and were able to order through the walk-up window which was cool. We opted for the Caramel Milkshake and wowww- it was soooo delicious! Bathrooms: Simple, clean, and well stocked. Gender neutral. Saved this in my Google Maps for anytime we're road tripping on Route 66 and want a delicious, fresh lunch or dinner. read more

My wife and I ordered the Acres double cheeseburger, crispy Koren BBQ chicken sandwich and a side of the crispy brussels. Everything was cooked perfect and delicious. The brussels were the most unique and delicious of all of it. Very polite and attentive staff. read more

How did we not know about this place before??!! Traveling between Chicago and St. Louis this may be the best place to get a quality bite to eat. The chili was superb. Tender trimmed chunks of what I believe was pot roast with a nice kick, topped with sour cream, cheese and homemade tortilla strips. The Barbacoa Melt was excellent. My wife had a great looking just pounded pork tenderloin sandwich with very freshly made and tasty cole slaw. The cheese curds rival anything you could find in Wisconsin. Topped it off with a great homemade vanilla shake. Actually started off with that, reminiscent of starting off with a shake back in the day at Steak and Shake. We most definitely will be back. We'll have to say a fond farewell to our stops at Wally's while passing by or through Pontiac, as we now have a new go to place for great food on our list. read more

Delicious lunch, quick service, clean, quaint spot for our party of 4. A bit off the highway (less than 5 minutes) but totally worth it. Order at the front counter and then find a seat. I got the signature smash burger (tasty!) w maybe the best fried potato nuggets I've ever had. 2 others got the club sandwich which was elevated by being grilled not just toasted. Last person got a grilled turkey & cheese sandwich. All were enjoyed! The bagged kettle chips of various flavors were good - we had 3 different types. Would choose this spot over any fast food chain place or novelty gas station any day! Thanks Yelp! read more

They use top quality ingredients and everything we've had has been excellent. Been going for a yr now and it's always great! The Elotes is made perfectly and fresh. Staff are excellent with great service. You can eat outside if you like and the inside is simple quite and very neat and clean. Restrooms are clean as well. The service and atmosphere were excellent! The food was a mixed bag unfortunately. We got the fried cheese curds as an appetizer and they were delicious; the house ranch was extra good! For the entrees, we had the Korean BBQ chicken sandwich and it was very flavorful with a nice touch of spice. The chicken was very juicy as well. Now for the bad. We got the crispy chicken tenders and they were definitely "crispy". They were super overcooked, blackened in parts, and overly dry (didn't think to take a picture as they weren't very appetizing). The Honey BBQ sauce, while tasty, could not save this dish unfortunately. It was a bummer since everything else was so good. Hopefully this was just an off day, but I think next time we'll have to try another place. read more

We chose this restaurant while looking online at home. When we got to Pontiac, we asked people in the museums we visited, where to eat. They all said, ACRESinn. The food was amazing.
