When confronted about the quality of work they indicated bumps in the road was the reason for bumper clips continuing to come apart and had the audacity to accuse a 78 year old lady of trying to run a scam on them. I would not recommend this organization as a result of their crappy work, lack of integrity, and accusatory bed side manner. We don't expect perfection, but when mistakes are made we do expect the organization to own them.

They are not there to skip the things you can't see just to make the numbers easier for the insurer. Giovanna and her extremely capable team know the ins and outs of insurance negotiations, and they know how to help customers get what they actually need. Some of them have worked on the dark side of insurance, so they know exactly where the pressure points are -- and yes, they know how to wield their lightsabers. When I told people that a bus hit my parked car and kept rolling, after they picked their jaws up off the floor, five different people immediately told me: Go to Giovanna. One of them had just picked up their car from Uptown and said, "Don't even bother shopping around." That recommendation was fresh. My front fender hasn't looked this good since 2012. More importantly, I know the safety features behind the bumper -- the parts I can't see -- were restored properly. They told me I would only have to pay my deductible. That is exactly what happened. Giovanna and Uptown Body & Fender are the real deal: independent, skilled, community-trusted, and absolutely the people you want on your side when insurance is involved. Massive bonus point: Giovanna is an OG trailblazer: a woman owner in the very male-dominated world of auto body repair.

They told me the proper fix was a new bumper, which I'm sure is true, but when I explained that my current budget was more in the "please make this stop hanging off the car" range, they worked with me. They were clear that reattaching damaged plastic isn't the same as magically making it new again, but they didn't push me into spending more than I wanted to. They also gave me the usual list of other things my aging Civic could use, but it felt much more like a doctor saying "keep an eye on this" than a mechanic saying "your car will explode by Thursday unless you give me your credit card." That makes me much more likely to actually come back and have those things addressed later. Then I picked up the car and discovered they had CLEANED IT. Not a courtesy wipe-down. My car was gross. They vacuumed it, cleaned the carpets, got grime off the steering wheel, washed the exterior, and somehow made it smell like a vehicle owned by a responsible adult. Bumper looks great, car is cleaner than it has been in a very long time, everyone was friendly, and I left feeling like I got a great deal. Five stars. Would accidentally damage car near them again.

My insurance companies at the time handled two of the situations, and Quality seems to be able to work those out with the Claim Teams quickly. One thing I really appreciate is how thorough and honest they are. On my Alfa Romeo, there was a defective headlight that needed to be replaced. Technically it was still showing as working, so it would have been easy to just leave it alone, but Mark and the team consistently followed up with me about it, even when I was the one lagging. They've also done some extensive collision work for me. Mark repaired the front end of my Honda and also did fender work on my Alfa Romeo. Both times the cars came back looking seamless and drove exactly the same as before. You really couldn't tell anything had ever happened. Auto repair shops sometimes get a bad reputation for upselling or trying to take advantage of people, but I've never felt that way here. Mark is always professional, responsive, and genuinely helpful. I actually meant to write this review the last time I was here, but it didn't post, so I wanted to make sure I came back and said thank you. I really appreciate the service and care I've received here. If you're looking for a trustworthy auto shop, AJ Auto Clinic is a great place to go.
