As a firefighter, my crew at the station immediately volunteered to "help" me take the trees down ourselves. Let's just say chainsaws, a ladder truck, and a bunch of firefighters with a day off could have turned into a very entertaining situation for the neighbors. In the end, I decided to leave it to the actual tree professionals--and I'm glad I did.
