We chose ABS primarily because of two key solutions Vinson proposed: one was to reuse two hardwood pantry pullouts from our original cabinets, and the other was to remove the soffit above the existing cabinets, extend the new cabinets all the way to the ceiling, and hide the exhaust duct inside the cabinetry, which resulted in a very clean and attractive look. Construction started after Thanksgiving. Despite the cold, windy, and rainy weather, Vinson's team was always punctual and highly professional. They paid great attention to detail, including excellent dust control during the demolition of the old cabinets. Our house is relatively old and was renovated in the 1970s, so the floors and walls are not very level. The team handled these challenges very well. Vinson also provided helpful and professional advice regarding replacing the aluminum wiring connected to the electric oven with copper wiring, which gave us greater peace of mind regarding safety.

I came in with a design and Mica's attention to detail caught a couple of dimension errors that would have caused me problems at the install. I was so thankful she found them before we got too far along to fix it. Unfortunately, I was already signed up with a different contractor to install the cabinets as part of a larger project so, I was not able to have ABS install the cabinets. I regret this. My contractors were not as skilled as Vinson. Thankfully, he was kind enough to make himself available, on a number of occasions, to give input to ensure that the cabinets could be installed correctly and look their best. I really appreciate his professional attitude. The cabinets are well made and beautiful. ABS's quartz fabricator, Kenny, was very skilled. I was concerned about the placement of the faucet centering on my kitchen window and he was able to give me exactly what I was looking for. Also, the countertops were installed so well you can barely see the seam in the quartz. It would have to be pointed out to you. I can't say enough good things about this place. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Then, every day after that, they sent me another message, including the day of. Then, an hour before the appointment, they sent me another confirmation message. My wife and I drove to their location, and there was nobody there. I figured someone might show up at the exact time, so we waited. About 10 minutes later, I get a phone call from a rep from Abodian. They told me that the company was closed for Thanksgiving holiday. You must be kidding. It is 2024, and the technology is there to prevent this. 1. They should be using a scheduling service that allows blackout dates. 2. They should be sending the text or email notifications to not only the customer, but whomever is supposed to be taking the appointment. 3. They should be updating their hours of operation so that they are accurate on search engines. When I searched, they showed the location was open that day. Then, to top it off, they rep told me on the phone how the company was going to make it up to me and that I would get a call on Monday. Not only did I not get a call, but I have not heard one single word from Abodian since that Friday. Hands down, the worst experience I have ever had with a company. It is bad enough that you wasted my time, but no follow up after the fact. I strongly encourage anyone to look elsewhere if you are looking for cabinets.

He was friendly and personable and took our desires into consideration to try to find us the right cabinets. He even made us something custom and provided us extra material to elevate it. Compared to other similar cabinets in the area the quality and value of A1 cabinets were better. They also have special options and unique colors. I decided to go with 1st Ave because they were very responsive on the phone and email, and they were able to do the work faster than GS. I also really liked that the people at 1st Ave weren't pushy like at they were at some of the other companies. They came though with all they promised to do - called me when they were on the way to the job site, installed everything so all cabinets and drawers lined up and worked flawlessly, cut the quartz offsite and came back to install countertops, and cleaned up after themselves. I have been recommending them to friends and neighbours, and I would most definitely use them again.
