Shopping in Tukwila, Washington…read more.. My niece wanted to go to Costco last time I visited her for her birthday in December. Somehow, we ran out of time. This time, I promised her that we would make Costco a priority. She finished work early and made our way to this organized, clean, and efficient warehouse. Parking was a bit challenging as people maybe had just finished work and were possibly shopping on their way home. We parked on the edge of the parking lot... no problem! Inside, the place seemed gigantic! The freezer section was like a longer row... as compared with the Costcos on Oahu, Hawaii. Plus, there was a Garden Center. I don't think we have those. We didn't really have time to see everything. We got whatever was on the niece's list, packed the frozen foods in my Trader Joe's cooler bag, and went to dinner nearby. This was a great experience! My niece has home meals for a while without breaking the bank... and everything fit in her home freezer!

The product selection is on the more premium end compared to some others, lots of halal food and lamb options( for example new Zealand lamb racks) as well as some other options to serve many other preferences. The order of things and set up might throw you off a bit- follows an untraditional circle pattern compared to common costco set up. Wish whiskey and wine selection was a bit richer. Folks are overall very helpful - for example despite the butcher area was closed the person still came out to answer couple questions of mine regarding blade tenderizing process. The food area after the registers is a bit smaller but not cramped. Overall Tukwila costco provides a good value composition

My husband is almost as nosy as I am when it comes to discovering new places. So when he said he…read morewanted to check out this new grocery store near southcenter, I was aghast to learn that there had been one under my nose this whole time. When he pulled into the parking lot, I knew exactly why I had missed it previously. Not only is the parking lot pretty narrow and single aisled, the concrete-blocked storefront itself is not obvious. I would assume it would be maybe the corporate office for the postal service or something similar. But definitely not a grocery store. With that being said, the storefront was clearly open and was easy to access. They had carts that were also easy to access, the aisles were clean and organized, although it was a 50/50 shot on value. It really depends on what you're looking for. But for the most part, protein sold in bulk was a great deal, along with other bulk goods like beans, pasta, grains, etc. I didn't really see that great of a discount on smaller individual items like spices or beverages, or even produce. Checking out was simple. Everyone made a single file line down and waited to cashiers to become available. Since the single file goes down the store to the right, it was difficult to see the cashiers. We waited about 10 minutes to be checked out. I'm not entirely sure if mostly working with other food service vendors and workers changes anything for the cashiers here, but I felt that it did lend a bit of a detached air from what you and I are used to in a more public grocery store. The employees, although they acknowledged everyone, were did not appear to manage the line (i.e.: calling out when a checker is ready, instead waiting for the customer to approach them), welcome or greet customers. They were having a few side conversations that halted traffic for a bit, but we have just arrived in time for a shift change, breaks, or something else similar. All in all, I felt the opportunity cost of all things given was enough to definitely return in the future. We made out like a bat out of hell with the bulk frozen ahi tuna and we'll be eating delicious dinner for the next couple weeks!

It's a restaurant supply-style store, with large quantity packaging and even an aisle dedicated to Asian groceries. Most items come in bulk, with meat packages often exceeding 10 lbs--great value for the price. I picked up 14 lbs of boneless pork cushion at just $1.79/lb, along with a pack of romaine lettuce and fresh green beans.

Humph!.... Either you do... ? Or You Don't!…read more We wanted to consider a lazy-Susan for a blind-corner. .. our contractor worked with Krafter's land kitchen planner. Krafter's land only sales 'standard' cabinets. A standard Lay-Susan is 35 X 35 with a door opening of about 12-inches on each side. .. so.... How did my NON-Standard 33 X 33" lazy Susan come with 6" openings?.. 3-to- 6" inches less than the standard opening? I have three-Blind-Corners. Krafter's COULD-NOT accommodate a cabinet that would fill this whole area. They wanted me to accept a cabinet that would only fill part of this space. Hmmmm! Aren't blind corners a standard? And they don't accommodate? The planner's ambition seemed to desire to fill my walls with cabinets... it did not matter if the lower cabinets were aligned with the upper cabinets... did not matter. Putting in a two-door cabinet on one wall and putting two individual single cabinets across the way (thus minimizing my storage space).. and the there are the spacers .... An inch here, three inches there.. all eating up my precious storage space. Oh it Looks Gorgeous.... But nothing is aligned--- 4 cabinets up top, three on the bottom and none of the lines match. The cabinets themselves are beautiful!.... And I am a baker. I asked for roll-out shelves/drawers.... My baking shelf has 10# white flour, 10# wheat flour, 5# of both white and brown sugar..... guess what?.... Their roll-out shelves can-NOT carry this kind of a load... this load will cause dragging and musfunction. Hmmmm And the final clincher..... you buy- puck up and install--- they are yours. No returns. But they are pretty!
