Love this place. Lots of healthy food options. Several types of coffee, teas and juices and the staff is very helpful in explaining the options. Service is fast and food is fresh.

In Appleton for a conference. Asked the Appleton Visitor Center for a good place for breakfast and they suggested Acoca. Turned out to be an excellent choice. The place has a nice coffee shop/cafe feel to it. It's spacious, well lit, and has plenty of options for seating. Got a friendly greeting and help with ordering. Ended up deciding on one of the Brussel Sprout Bowls, and the Lox/Egg Croissant. After putting the order in, including drinks, we got a number and waited at the table. The drinks came out in short order, and then the food a little after that. Everything was hot, well seasoned and good portions (I have never had that much Lox on a sandwich!). The Brussel Sprout Bowl had plenty of interesting textures with bacon, and nuts. The eggs were a perfect easy over. (one suggestion, we typically get our Brussel Sprouts a bit more roasted). Definitely a very good choice for breakfast. Would love to come back next time we are in town.

Been wanting to try this spot for a while now and finally got the chance. The inside is spacious with plenty of seating. It has an artsy vibe with local art work featured on their walls Their serving sizes are quite large which was a pleasant surprise. We tried the breakfast burrito and the morning sprouts. Some of my favorite breakfast I've had in the downtown Appleton area, probably second to Author's. Service is relatively fast and we left with full stomachs and plenty of leftovers for later.

I found this awesome coffee shop when I moved my kid to Appleton for college. I've been here several times since. The staff is always friendly, helpful and welcoming. The food is awesome and the coffee is just how I like it. I ordered the lox and bagel for the first time today and it was gorgeous!!!

If you're looking for coffee this is the place to go. ACOCA was a warm and inviting place with variety of vegan and meat filled treats. We absolutely loved our coffee and fresh food.

Some of the best bacon that I have ever had. It is produced in Wisconsin and has an incredible Applewood salty taste. Highly recommend the Waley Waley Eggs and Baky breakfast

I throughly enjoyed Acoca for a late lunch in Appleton with my friend. I enjoyed a raspberry cremosa (pictures) and avocado toast (not pictured). I had never had a cremosa before - super tasty beverage for the afternoon! The toast was big and well-covered in avocado and pickled onions. It was served with a small fruit cup - fresh fruit! My friend got a breakfast sandwich and an iced matcha latte. She loved both. We were both impressed with the amount of offerings and cute atmosphere. Decent service. A little pricey, but I would recommend!

Yum! Great spot in downtown Appleton! Plenty of seating and friendly staff. Kitchens are closed on mondays but other than that we will be back next time we're in Appleton! My husband and I got the nitro cold brew and it's delicious!

If you want a decadent pick me up, you have to try an espresso shake! The fair trade coffee is amazingly flavorful!

Stopped by Mateo's for weekend brunch and quickly understood why it's such a popular local spot…read more I'd recommend getting there early because it can get busy! The menu features classic breakfast favorites, with generous portions and solid quality. The French toast was good, although it wasn't the traditional brioche-style French toast I prefer. The scrambled eggs, however, absolutely hit the spot. Service was great, the ambiance was welcoming, and I really had no complaints. I didn't have enough time to explore more of the menu, but I'd definitely come back to try some of their other breakfast options. Great food, great service, and a local favorite--definitely worth checking out!

Atmosphere: Lots of booths to sit in, super bright lights and bright white with lots of windows…read more Off street parking. There is a hostess stand and an area to sit while you wait for a table (it was about a 10 minute wait for a table). Service: They delivered the food and refilled coffee and waters promptly. Food: They can't accommodate any custom requests. I asked for extra crispy bacon on my eggs benedict and they said they would see what they could do. It was really soggy and chewy so I couldn't eat it (texture issue). Do not order the eggs benedict, three of us at the table ordered different variations of this dish and were all disappointed (zero texture, extra soggy, no flavor, too much hollandaise sauce). Do not order the eggs benedict on the potato pancakes if you are hungry, the potato pancakes were as thin as a dime and the size of my hand. I left hungry and went home to eat. The one person who didn't order the eggs benedict loved their food. The rest of the food that was coming out looked great, I think we just ordered the wrong dishes. We'll give this place a try again in the future to try something else off the menu.
