On November 8, 2023, I purchased a $7,600 Hot Spring SX spa. A week later when the spa arrived at our house it had two scratches on the front. The installer said he would repair the scratches. I am really happy we went with Acme Pools & Spa Care for the construction of our pool. Cara and Steve were very informative on what to expect and in what time frame. The resulting pool is beautiful and the process was painless. The whole thing took under five weeks to complete. Each step was explained to us - what was being done and how long it would take. And Steve and his crew always showed up when he said he would, even in the 114 degree heat! He always got back to us if we had any questions, never left us hanging. We were recently in the market for a hot tub and checked several places (local, Phoenix, and online). We had a strict budget that we were not going to exceed, and most places tried to convince us to spend more or told us that our budget was too low. The first time we came in, Acme wasn't able to find anything that would work for us, but Racheal followed up several times after we left with options that would meet our budget and layout requirements. They had recently received a Viking tub in stock that checked all the boxes, so we decided to purchase. The Acme team worked with us to coordinate delivery (we needed a crane) and were very friendly and helpful during the process. I have never met an owner of a company who takes initiative more than her. She checks in with how things are going often but not more than necessary and always leaves you well informed and grateful for her time. Having worked with Contractors for 20+ yrs, I can honestly say Cara goes the extra mile to ensure a thorough understanding and smooth process as best as possible. I would highly recommend ACME pools for anyone in search of a reputable company. I might also point out that Cara has made it a point to avoid situations where they are not able to handle the projects on hand and will not leave you high and dry like some of these other pool companies in the area. On their initial visit to me I was told it would cost around $300 to get my pool to a usable state. Those $300 quickly turned into $1200 plus the monthly fee of $140. I tried to overlook the price but I realized they were only giving me the run around. I asked several times over the course of 2-3 weeks why my pool was not ready or why they had not vacuumed the pool. Each time I asked there was a different excuse about it needing some other chemical or service that just kept tacking on to my bill. I had to send a video to the supervisor to prove that my pool had barely been touched since they started servicing it. Another issue I had was with their monthly service fee. I started service with them mid July and was charged a full months fee (should have been prorated). I figured they would not be charging me again until mid august but I was charged the fee again in the beginning of August. Then there is the issue of their ridiculous mark up on chemicals. They wanted to charge me $325 for a 50lbs bucket of chlorine tablets that are $269 at Leslie's. Lastly they sent me an invoice for a different client which for a second made me believe they were gonna charge me again even though I canceled. They are very disorganized and they price gouge. They will also charge your bank account without your permission. I would not recommend using them. read more

Do No Use!! Hired acme to treat our pool for algae. Before we left for the weekend everything with the pool was fine. We got a call stating the flow with the back wash was slow. When we got home the pump was running without any water flow. When talking to the staff they took no responsibility and denied that they worked with the pump or plumbing. Items involving the pump/plumbing were loose. Never gave them any permission to work with it. They said it's probably your filter and pump and quoted us around $1,500. My husband and a friend of ours worked on the system today. In all of our conversations with Acme, nothing was ever mentioned of anything breaking. It's probably the filter. Our pump and etc were updated 2 yrs ago. He found the bottom portion of the backwash valve broken, and lodged in the bottom of the return preventing any return to the pool. The valve was just replaced last year. The filter was fine. There were many opportunities for your staff to be forthright about this issue. They took no responsibility. Their response "oh that can happen". There was no mention of this when we hired them to treat our pool. If this could happen they also didn't trouble shoot for this to solve the issue. read more

Been over a month still waiting for repair. Cant use pool. Lost good chunk of swimming season plus pool now infested with algae since it wont run. I asked if they would clean pool (since I cant clean it now with broken equipment and its gotten real bad) whenever the part finally arrives and they said no. Poor customer service! read more

After 2 weeks, no one ever called back and no one ever showed up. He called them again, because our pool was REALLY needing service, and the same person that he spoke to before acted like he had never called before. We had the chance to talk a lot and I loved hearing about the initiatives she was implementing to further better her client care and satisfaction. As a business owner myself I liked hearing how someone else made it work, AND that we ALL face similar challenges when striving for excellence in a service business. The first thing I noticed was the attention to detail in the thorough inspection of every aspect of my system and the knowledgable staff. (I think it was Chuck that explained it all for us) I was instantly impressed. Then, not only did they MAKE the suggestions, they followed through IMMEDIATELY with the upgrades I approved, not MONTHS later after multiple reminders. After my first service I walked into my back yard and DIDNT RECOGNIZE MY OWN POOL. It shimmered like it did YEARS ago when we first opened it. It ran more efficiently and my negative edge spa was finally getting cleaned too! I also love the convenience of knowing EXACTLY what my charge will be every month on the regulator plan they offer. Renting house that has pool service with Acme. Not sure who is scamming who. But this pool isn't being cleaned twice a week. Which is what we were told is included in our rent. Pool is being skimmed and chlorine is added. The pump is locked up and the timer is off. So no filtration is happening at all. Acme claims timer is broken. Pool guy I caught t leaving says there is no power to the timer, because the circuit breaker is bad. Somebody is lying and I'm paying for a pool I can't use. read more

Hired ACME to take care of the pool while I was away for a few months. I told them specifically that I would not be authorizing payments for extra chemicals outside the norm (acid, chlorine, the occasional algaecide). Sure enough, I get my first bill with an additional 70 dollars for chemicals that I told them specifically not to use as well as a $13 pumice stone. I attempted to email them twice (I currently have limited phone access) and have gotten no response. F minus terrible. Go somewhere else. read more
