I called to complained about wanting a new pool person because 2 1/2 weeks go by I haven't had any chlorine tablets and my pool is dirty and very cloudy so please give me a new one or come see what is going on. they called me back and said chlorine was high was the excuse they gave me. Now I decided to take a cup of water to Leslie's and guess what. it wasn't high from their report so I asked my neighbor to come see why my vacuum is not working for 2 1/2 weeks. guess what, filter in the picture is full. Next , the other filter has been broke is why it won't catch and I get no new pool guy and next the pool hasn't been cleaned in 2 1/2 weeks again in the picture. poor service is what i get. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to see in almost all of the reviews that the owner, Shane or such is a complete zero and that some woman in his office defends every bad comment about him. We bought a home that Shane sold cool decking to. He outright lied to her about what he would do. The coating was coming off almost immediately. He tried blackmailing her to continue service with him or he wouldn't fix. She didn't fall for it. When I purchased the home less than a year later and thought I'd try from scratch to talk to the guy he started in with what a nut she was and he would only help me if I started doing business with him. Turned out, Shane & Co. did no prep or finish work... there was no pre treating of the decking, no primer and no sealer. Attached pics show the mess his work created and the nightmare his work left behind. Long story short I thought I'd give it another shot, the office promised Shane would call me right back..... 3 weeks later he called and started his B.S. so I hung up and blocked him. In that time frame we contracted with a reputable pool decking and coating company and they have repaired, put down new decking and coating and sealed the job properly. I hated what it looked like with what Shane had left but now that we know what a good job looks like it's quite different. Just wait, The office will defend his horrible business...... the guy has a screw loose and needs to be sued...... just beware!!!! The office seems to think this has something to do with wanting free work when I simply called to try and schedule with Shane. When he decided to call and point fingers 3 weeks later we had already contracted and had the work completed by professionals. Beware of this very SHADY company and the reviews all seem to point at this Shane guy, He's a crook.

They have no respect for other peoples property or the damages they caused. We also complained about water that is seeping through the brick wall, in which they responded to the neighbor that it won't cause damage because they added plastic. I don't know if the know how water works and the erosion water causes. I guess we'll see what happens.

The pump was set up wrong and the backwash valve was reversed. When fired up it created a clog. When we bought the house the inspector told us the pump needed to be changed, but other than that all was fine. After the new pump we no longer had circulation. The pool is now a pond. Both my wife and I expressed verbally we wanted full service cleaning to both Oliver and Lance. Lance is horrible at communicating and taking responsibility. He lacks business morals and is uncaring about his work as a owner. Oliver, the other owner, slightly edges him out as a better owner. Not by much because he is very lackadaisical with his promises. Oliver had told my wife a plumber would be out to look at this problem. To find out why the circulation doesn't work and where the clog is. This is not as much a complaint as it is more of a warning to the consumer. I have filed a complaint with the Arizona Contractors Board and the BBB. I encourage everyone with a valid complaint to help others by going to the other 2 agencies.

Lance told me to give them a 30 min buffer and joked that they weren't like other places that make you wait all day before coming. Day of the appointment, waited for almost 2 hours and no one came. I even called their number and left messages for Oliver inquiring where they were. No answer and no one showed, so I went to run errands at the store. Lance called me when I was at the store saying he was at my house. I said the appointment was for 11:30, but he said that his calendar showed 11:30-1:30 availability. I thought I heard wrong when I was at the shop, so I quickly finished my errand and went home to meet him. Lance saw the backyard and took some notes on his phone (size of pool, filter, etc), but he never took any measurements. He told me that they would have the quote to me by the end of the weekend. Come Monday, there was no quote, nor after a week. Called Lance to follow-up and he said that he initiated the quote request and didn't know what happened and that he would check on it. It's been 3 weeks now, so this ship has sailed. I know that pool contractors are busy now due to the pandemic, but if you cannot accommodate a quote just let me know so that I don't waste my time.

The owner of the business never showed up on the two week job, and couple of workers said they were just hired for this job. The concrete pool deck was not properly prepared, resulting in the new coating peeling off in ten months. The owner of Artesian Pools, Ray Orta, refused to offer to redo the shoddy job. A few months later I hired another pool company, Splash Pools, to replace the deck at a lower price. Eighteen months later it is like new. Artesian Pools and Ray Orta screwed me. I would never recommend his company.

Hired Dale and 'crew' to drain, acid wash, prep and paint our pool. The draining and cleaning went…read moregreat, so I agreed on allowing them to prime and paint the pool. I shelled out $500 for the cleaning which was worth the hassle of doing it myself, and then $800 for materials necessary to paint. On the morning they finally showed up, his 'crew' painted the pool. They were almost finished when I came home, I inspected and asked why they didn't prime it first. The worker said, " the primer is IN the paint" in a way like I was stupid for asking. I remarked that I purchased primer, which goes on first and needs 24-48 hrs to dry....then the paint. He again states, " NO, the primer is in the paint... I added it" I also notice they didn't mask off the border tile before painting and sloppily got paint all over the tiles around the pool. They didn't even attempt to try and miss the tile (have pics of this too) If that wasn't enough, they spilled blue paint in many spots ON the cool-crete! And on the brick patio base a few feet away! While surveying this mess, the painter offers ZERO apologies for spilling the paint. All I said was, "I guess I am going to be repainting the cool-crete now" So I call Dale to come by and check on his crews' handy work. He arrives, sees what happened, then hangs his head and says, "why did you paint it first??" The guy painting gets angry and barks out "IT'S IN THE PAINT!!!!" They go back and forth, finally opening the second large can consisting of primer.... Dale tells his guys to start applying primer OVER the newly painted pool. They did so and Dale went and purchased 2 more gallons of paint. I had to leave for a meeting but upon arrival I was surprised to see Dale gone and his crew painting already. Despite the primer being wet and tacky still, they painted and walked throughout the pool surface, making large imbedded boot prints in the surface, while also 'lifting' areas of layered paint, making craters in the surface. They ran out of paint, pool halfway done. I called and texted several times before Dale replied, asking when the job would be finished. He indicated he ordered paint and it should be here within a few days. I voiced my concerns about having Dale do the work exclusively, and not allowing the other two back. He claims he fired the painter (his brother) for costing him money (second time that he 'fired' him during this job) Yet here he comes again and is painting with Dale supervising. He said, "I'm giving him another chance". I then asked if he had sanded the footprints off the surface before painting again, he said yes. (I left a power sander as well as an air compressor for them to use to make it easy) after they left and the paint dried, I went into the pool and inspected their work. The deep boot prints were merely painted over and the craters on the surface were not repaired... and stuck out like a sore thumb! Long story even longer, I texted numerous times, called numerous times without reply. He finally gets back to me explaining he was in the hospital. I asked if this is how he was going to leave this job, and a day or two later, he calls and leaves a message that he is at my home. I tell I'm at work, he needs to let me know when he is going to show do someone could be there. Since then, NOTHING. I mainly wanted them to come back and get the paint off the tile, because that is a major PITA. Meh, I'll just get the paint off the tile myself, there's no telling what other damage they will do in trying to correct that! In the end, I bought more paint, sanded the areas of damage caused by them, filled in the craters, and painted it. Funny side note, while here one day Dale tells me that one of my neighbors approached him in my driveway and was complaining of the service Dale was giving him, he just chuckled and said "I told him to find another pool service, I'm not doing yours anymore". How's that for customer service? LOL. At this point, all I can consider is legal action for the damages. I have pics of the pool surface before they started, pics of them painting, the subsequent priming, paint spills, paint over tiles, etc. I have pics of them standing in the pool, Dale standing there as well... He claimed that he would repaint the pool for us and provide pool service for us while we were on vacation. We came home 3 weeks later to find our pool had become a swamp and he had done nothing. He does not return calls or texts. WIth so many pool services available in Yuma, Dale is to be avoided at all costs.
