Every time I use it is a horrible experience. They have extremely lazy staff that does nothing but at the front of the store leaving nothing but automated checkout or the one open beer, checkout aisle in the middle rush. I have reportedly told corporate about the issue here I have reportedly as management at the store specifically to take a look into the it does not seem to be of any consequence to them. not far down the which is staffed and is regularly accessible and has a staff that will assist I would suggest there for a more pleasant experience. read more

We have been shopping at the Upper Darby Acme (on Mondays) for 50 years and often times there is only one cashier. Generally, not a problem except recently the one young cashier on duty is neither friendly nor helpful. She doesn't even help to bag the groceries!! She acts as though she hates her job and is always on her cell phone. All the other cashiers we have had are extremely pleasant and helpful, but recently they have not been there (maybe on vacation?) This past Monday, she couldn't even print the receipt. I suggest if you only staff the registers with one cashier, choose one that cares about the job and people and fire this one or may lose a loyal customer! read more

I placed a order on Sunday to be delivered to my home and in the delivery instructions I specifically said hand to me when acme sent a text saying my order was out for delivery I waited by the door and no one showed and then a text was sent saying my order was delivered so I called acme and spoke with a lady named Jessica and she told me once the order leaves the store it's not there responsibility and gave me Ubers number so when I called Uber the lady said I have to call acme and Jessica is saying it's not there responsibility so I never got my food order that was worth about 36.00 very bad customer service read more

Don't know why I tried. Had to bring a family member here & decided to pick up a few things. Well...decided to cancel EVERYTHING AT THE REGISTER. The problem is...items were on sale but not coming up as on sale after items were scanned & customer phone number entered. The floating cashier proceeded to tell me that maybe I needed a coupon. That is not what it said above the items I was purchasing. In the past, the cashier would at least check the item in the aisle. Not any more. Also, as most places these days, the self check out is absolutely available as there's only 1 cashier open at 8pm. Acme can be overpriced, but if you take advantage of sales and deals it balances out. Unfortunately, this location and this company in general are severely lacking integrity! I would advise against using their "pickup and go" service. They will overcharge you (almost $30 in my case). As they have developed a culture of pass-the-buck within their company, you will speak to many people starting at your local store all the way to corporate complaint lines. They will all assure you that they will correct the mistake and process a refund of the amount you were overcharged. That will never actually happen! Avoid Acme markets and their shady business practices. Opt for Giant Direct or Amazon Fresh; the sales and deals aren't as good, but the customer service and willingness to rectify any mistakes or dissatisfaction more than make up for that. read more

I have not physically shopped at this location, but I have placed orders for delivery and been disappointed each time. The first time, I ordered some produce, which i had to throw away. My second order came with moldly cheese. And just yesterday I had to throw out 2 servings of "fresh" salmon. Third time is the charm. No more orders until they can deliver from my usual Acme. As far as supermarkets go they have a pretty bare selection. The main thing going for them is the fact that they are a 24 hour supermarket. It's very convenient to go shopping when I get done work at 3am. Acme recently just opened up self check out lanes, which have also helped with convenience. The main reason I choose to go to Acme over Giant is the fact that they have D&W deli meat. I absolutely can not stand Boar's Head. So as long as we eat sandwiches in this household, I will be shopping at Acme, but for the rest of you, if you don't care about the lunchmeat then head on over to Giant. Acme brought back four self service checkouts. These help move lines move more quickly. A good selection of Greek yogurt and pet food. Some of the Turkey Hill choices have vanished, same with fresh Safeway Select salsa. Overall there are better choices, but it's OK if you have a few things to run in and get. read more

Most Acmes are nice stores, but this one on Lansdowne Ave. is not. It is very dirty. I only go there occasionally because it is near my house. I stopped in yesterday, because it is near Arlington Cemetery. All other Acmes have Christmas wreaths and greens nicely displayed out front, this one had none. When I went inside and asked Customer Service if they had any, the young woman working there looked at me as if I had 2 heads. It took several minutes for her to understand what I was asking her. Finally, she said "I don't know anything about any other stores.". I think this store might be afraid of people stealing things outside. Anyway, it's dirty, the people working there don't care and they don't carry things that other stores do. Avoid it. read more

This used to be my go to ACME. I find that it is not the same as it was a few years back. It used to be open 24 hrs-now it has a 6:00 A.M. opening time. I loved shopping at night. The other thing i don't like is that they no longer have a RedBox machine. This was the closest RedBox to me. Now i have to go all the way to Townshipline Road to the 24 hr. GIANT just to use RedBox. At one time they used to have 2 machines in the store but they added this so called dining area that is way to big and no one really uses it except the folks that scratch off lottery tickets. I now go to the other ACME on West Chester Pike which i find is a much better store! RedBox included! read more

I visited this Acme after many years and some renovations. I find this market very claustrophobic as there are minimal windows and only one main exit unlike most markets that now have two. The aisles were full of extra items in the main aisles making it feel even more crowded like the usually mass-produced cakes along with Instant Pots. Meat selections were minimal and of "select" quality as opposed to "choice" or "prime." read more

As I was walking up to the Acme entrance, two young employees were throwing water from flower pots right out into the walkway. I did not expect this , so I jumped a little. I reacted. Those young employees continued to MAKE FUN OF ME to my face when I was still standing right there. Completely rude and unprofessional. They are the ones throwing water in the entrance but I get made fun of? Not just for a few seconds, they kept going and going as I was still there. I am not one for confrontation, If I was I would have gotten their names and reported them. Horrible employees. Now I have to go about my day thinking about how they bullied n made fun of me to my face. Very unprofessional and very loud. They did not care who was around them. This Acme is situated in Bond Shopping Center, a busy strip of stores with a typically-crowded McDonald's across the way. That in mind, navigate the lot with care. You won't have trouble finding a spot, but you may have to walk a little bit to the store. This medium-to-large sized Acme has a great selection of what you need, and the prices, as with most Acmes, can cost a little bit more than some competitors. I go here when I need to get something quick--I'm willing to pay a little bit more in these circumstances. For me, this Acme is for convenience more than anything else. read more

A rather nice ACME. What do you want other than fresh food, good prices and good staff. Produce section is awesome and things are easy to find. You often see managers walking around and they check on you to see if they can help. I have gotten cookie club cards for my boys, and they also gave us a healthier option card to for apples or a banana. read more

I happen to love this acne their shelves are usually stocked and they seem to have a clean store and a nice location. Unfortunately they're not good on security. One day my girlfriend and I were driving down the side street I forget what that street is called, and we saw two people a black man and a black woman pushing carts full of food that were practically overflowing and none of the food was in bags my girlfriend informed me that's because they walked right out of the store with it cuz who doesn't put that much food in bags of course you do. So trying to help act me supermarkets by telling them would be futile they would find a negative reason and something I said cuz that's what all Americans do they don't listen to what you're saying or that you're trying to help, when because they spend 25 years on Facebook they're trying to find something they can disagree with and something they can be insulted by that you're saying so we live in a different world where people have forgotten how to communicate because social media is really antisocial media political correct backwards b*******. But I think their food is nice some of the people have a rough attitude but then look where they work they have to be strong. But I think I like the store they carry a large variety of everything unlike some other academies which may be smaller. Just make sure that your car is locked and it has an alarm on it. read more

I stop here fairly frequently to pick up a few items on my way home from work. Because of the time of day, it is usually busy, but it's not too difficult to find a parking spot. It is the traditional Acme/supermarket (not the cheapest, but the sales are good). The workers usually say hello to me throughout the store which is nice, and they almost always have what I'm looking for. Their greeting card section is a little sparse, but you can usually find something to fit the bill. Overall, if you're in the area and need a place to go grocery shopping, this Acme is pretty solid. read more

This store keeps going down and down. They took away the self checkouts, the entryway is filled with product and you can barely walk through it. They have very little choices of product to chose from and their prices aren't very competitive. So glad the Giant is opened! read more

They are pretty expensive but when they have deals they are pretty good. If you have the time you can check the weekly ad. They also have a clearance area so sometimes you find really good deals. If you have time you can buy select items from them but it will be pricy if you want to do all your shopping at acme. read more

Really a lousy, out-dated grocery store. Why go here for major shopping when there is another far better grocery store a close drive away? Walking into here is like a step back into the 1970s. Place is so very bad!!!! Use to live in area and remember why i did not shop at store often. Was in yesterday and did shopping--alot of stuff not on shelf's and employees every place but register. When we went to check out had 1 express open and 2 other register;s. Place was packed and needed way more open. I left a full cart of food at register and left, I use acme in Morton and other areas, In these other stores they always have more lanes open, Acme lost out today here because i had a easy 250 dollars worth of food. I really dislike shopping here. They never seem to have enough people working. The lines to checkout are always long. Customer service is disinterested. They always seem to run out of whatever is on sale immediately. Produce department is the worst. I am not sure what they do with their produce or where it sits or for how long, un-refrigerated, but it is certainly NOT fresh when it is put out. I have had items turn soft and rotten the day after I get them home. This includes bagged lettuce that rots long before the expiration date. I do not have this problem with other stores such as Giant. read more
