How bad does a grocery store have to be to leave a review. Let me tell you Amy is one of the worst. I'm so upset after spending 20 minutes searching. I couldn't find anyone to help in the store and so I finally called their number from in the store to ask for help. The person didn't know if they carried the product in order. Did she know the aisle that baking was. They then found someone in the store after hunting for another couple minutes, the person said "I couldn't tell you if we do " and then walked away. read more

They have a special on prime rib roast, so went in and asked if I could have a whole loin cut into steaks and the butcher flat out told me no. Because it was on sale and they are selling some of them as steaks already. Well I didn't want thin steaks, I wanted a 3/4 inch steak. Then the smart ass butcher brings 2 full loins uncut to me. I said so can you cut them? He says no. They had always done it in the past, in fact just around Thanksgiving last year. It costed extra and I was fine with that, but wasn't offered that yesterday. Recently came here to grab some birthday items for my friend in the area. Sadly this place was apparently out of flowers. None the less this place satisfied my needs when it came to finding food and alcohol for the special occasion. Store is clean, friendly and very easy to get around. It's got a market here as well! When you approach the store you are greeted by a big sign labeling sanitized carts. After taking your carts there is also a label informing patrons of the exit and entrance. Additionally, I'm always greeted with a smile. The costumer service is exceptional! The cashiers put your groceries in bags and then even put them in your cart for you!! I was so surprised that I even tipped them a coupe times. The store in general is very expensive in comparison to stores with cheaper prices and organic food. The quality is low and the prices are exorbitant even. I even saw a jug of orange juice for about $5.00!! I couldn't believe it! I'd you want to save money or spend wisely it will probably be best to shop conservatively when there. If you have an emergency and absolutely need something maybe go to a gas station, they'll probably be cheaper. read more

We placed an order on-line for pick-up this morning. We arrived a couple of minutes early and called the posted number to let them know we were there. The employee on the phone was unable to find the order. When we provided the order number we were told, after 8-9 minutes on hold, that NOTHING ON OUR LIST WAS AVAILABLE. "Someone should have called you." Yes, someone should have -- but did not. So, 50 minutes in the car wasted. We don't shop at Acme much and this morning we were reminded why. Norton Acme don't even rate a star with me I only put it so that I could complete this. Dana is the rudest office person I have ever talked to. She's so judgmental and thinks she's soooo superior to everyone and treats people like they are beneath her. They hold your check to make it seem like they are bad checks 5 days even though they claim the machine behind the counter processes them immediately. The store manager April is nice, but Dana is terrible no excuse for her behavior!! They need to also follow guidelines before they go posting stuff with peoples faces on it when they are setting them up!! Do they know that it is a crime to set someone up... funny isn't it they committed a crime trying to make someone look bad and they are no better!!! read more

This is the closest grocery store to me so I keep wanting it to be better than it is, but this was the last straw. The place was notoriously understocked, gross and terrible, so over the summer they decided to remodel. The store has remained open while the construction is taking place which means if you go there now there are: open trenches, one way aisles with dead ends, huge wet spots that stretch across barren expanses leading to understocked meat sections (no bologna?) and general uncleanliness near foodstuffs. I honestly would have forgiven this if not for the terrible customer service experience I had today. Everything I listed above is par for the course with this shitty location. When I was trying to check out the lady ringing up items kept taking breaks to talk to other employees while she was ringing up the lady in front of me, then when it was my turn she walked away so another employee could take over without explanation to me. Then she stood near the new employee and chatted with her, coughing into her hands and talking shit about their co-workers while I waited for ten minutes. The older coughing employee wasn't helping but still managed to cough and rub her hands on all of my food items, even though there were already two other employees on my items. When the younger employee told me my total she walked away as I was handing her my cash so she could talk more shit then took five minutes to count out the right change. This place is way better now since they remodeled. They added self checkouts you can use if you have 12 items or less. This store hires many high schoolers so think twice before getting mad because they haven't seen an ID from another state. Or that you have to wait a long time in the line for the cashiers. There are cashiers but some of these reviews came from the time that acme was a bit under staffed. Besides all of that. The food you can get there is pretty good as well as the bakery. There is always some sort of sale going on so there are always opportunities to save on a portion of your grocery bill. read more

This has to be the worst run business that I have dealt with. I was not usually happy with service inside the store. Although they do have some very nice employees. That helps! But during the pandemic I decided to give the online and pick-up a try. It is the worst shopping experience you'll ever have! First, the website isn't very user friendly (you have to know exact brand and product names). Then they send you an email to inform you of what was out of stock. But that would really mean, what the personal shopper didn't want to bother with. On a couple of occasions I went immediately into the store to see if items were really out of stock. Shocking how many pallets of Coca-Cola there were when they claimed they were out of stock. And just try to get a rotisserie chicken. they have claimed they were out of stock with as many as 10 on the shelf. An employee actually told me that "you are at the mercy of the personal shopper. If they don't want to take the time to get an item, they just mark it out of stock". Way to go Acme! read more

Very nice place. Our work ordered long subs for a huge meeting a few weeks ago. We ordered turkey and swiss but got american cheese instead. No biggie. No one minded. Other than that they were very good and included fresh cut tomatoes, lettuce, cukes and mustard. I ate mine for lunch over the next few days they were so big. We're going to have another big meeting next month and plan on ordering a bunch of fried chicken. :) read more

I live in southwest Barbertonnow and really appreciate having this Acme store which is very convenient. Sure there are times the checkout lines backed up, but what store doesn't. I especially like the fresh fruit in the spring and summer priced very reasonably. The only reason I didn't give it a five star rating is due to the parking lot which could use some freshening up! I know people that work there and you'll be happy to know that they clean every night with a crew after closing. They have a very convent bank and ATM machine as well. We have a few grocery stores nearby. Aldi and SavALot..Giant Eagle..Buehlers...there are options. I know Acme is a larger store..not a country store but it does have the country feel to it. It isn't huge so it doesn't have the options that the larger stores have but they do have all of the basics. Not a store that sports organics because I don't believe this area is that much into organics. The liquor section is small but really tries to carry the options that local.people like to buy. The shelves are full and clean. The aisles are wide enough to get through. The deli is impressive. The employees are the best...not so much the younger students..they come and go but the seasoned workers make going to Acme nice..like visiting friends. The hours are great. Weird that they are open on holidays but I guess they have to anymore. One of the managers is so good to my little ones so even they want to go to the store with me. The kids like the cow by the milk section...the button makes the cow moo. I'm thankful for our local Acme. 4 stars cuz I prefer organics. read more
