Great burgers! This is a burger spot where they do rock cod, tuna, beef burger, grilled chk, fried chk, pork belly and even impossible burger. I love this spot and it is conveniently right next to Oliver's in cotati. You pretty much build your own burgers, they have tots fries and onion rings, all of which are perfectly crispy. My go to is the grilled chk sandwich with grilled onions, it's simply firm but succulent breast with grill marks, no too charred, I typically can't finish it in one sitting cause it's a full breast. I can tell they at least quick brine it cause the moisture retention is spot on and the old bay is a nice touch ! The prices are decent, beer selection is excellent and service is awesome! read more

Even with no electricity, Acme Burger was open for business. The kitchen was able to get burgers and fries out to the customers. The owner managed to get a bag of ice for the drinks. No turkey burgers as Willie Bird couldn't grind their turkey meat. No cod available either for the fish sandwich, but again the owner planned to go to Costco later to buy some. Okay, so I have eaten here like six times before and it has always been pretty good. Until tonight. If I was going to complain about anything prior to tonight, it would be that their beef patties are always on the small side. I can live with that, because they were alwaays perfectly cooked. Tonight I decided to order a special. The pulled pork burger with slaw and a side of onion rings. They were busy for a Friday night, but the dining room was not completely slammed. After 15 minutes or so, my name hadn't been called (sitting up in the front) so I headed to the back where you pick up your orders. What an eye opener! My impression is that this place prioritizes their orders in the following sequence: Uber Eats/Food Jets first, other to-go orders second, and in-house customers last. I stood their for 10 minutes watching them feed delivery driver after delivery driver with to-go orders. I finally spoke up and said it had been 25 minutes sine I ordered, so where is my food? "Coming right up", I was told. One minute later I had my order. I sat down and picked up my pulled pork burger. The first thing I noticed was the grease pouring our of the bottom, like I was pouring cooking oil into a skillet. Gross! I took a bite. No seasoning. Just oily, tasteless slop. And my onion rings? Cold. Not warm, cold. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is the friendliness of the counter staff and the beer. All else, epic fail. A trip further down E CotatI Ave tonight would have gotten me a cheaper, better quality meal and faster service. From McDonalds. Very disappointed. Don't know if I will go back! So our customer gave us money to buy lunch. We found this place by accident. But it was a great accident. We had about a 15 person order. My boss picked up the food and said the service was great. Now let's get to the food. I had an Acme Double burger (like $8.75)with blue cheese ($.50) and bacon ($1.50). The burger was seasoned perfectly, the bacon was thick and plentiful and the blue cheese was not overpowering. My coworker had the tuna and said it was amazing and he will get it again. Another coworker had the chicken sandwich and loved it. The anthem around the office was "how did it take us this long to find this place." We will be going back. I've been contemplating this review since my fiancé and I love this place and have come here for two years but I can't find it in myself to let this slide. This place is at the top of our list when we have our occasional cravings. We Doordashed dinner tonight in celebration of my birthday. We were so hungry I was about half way into my burger when I looked down and realized the meat was RAW! When my fiancé saw my reaction spitting it out, he realized his was raw as well. If it weren't for all the additional toppings we got, we would've noticed much sooner but YIKES! How can a mistake this big be made? The deeper the meat, the colder it was and completely pink. Now don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my steaks bloody and but this was so disturbing it completely turned our stomaches from giving another chance at a different meal from somewhere else. It was really sad and unfortunate this happened today. The outside of the burger looked cooked but inside was almost like the cook didn't let it grill AT ALL. It made me sick to my stomach to know that I literally ingested raw meat. It was so disgusting that it has currently turned me off on all meat in general and coming from a big time meat eater, that says a lot. The fries were cold too so the whole meal for both of us was just straight trash. In complete honesty, if it weren't for the super sweet and accommodating manager (I think he said his name was Addison? Sorry if I'm wrong) it'd give this 0 stars and I wouldn't have been as polite as I thought I was over the phone with him. He advised me to call DoorDash for my refund and offered to send me a gift card. They got 4 stars instead of 5, because they do allow children the run of the place, which might be a plus for you, but isn't for me. I mean, I'm fine with kids, but think they should stay at their table? It might be a ridiculous request... I mean, when they responded to me when I brought it up, I was told children are welcome there. I mean, I wasn't expecting an adults-only vibe at a burger shop, but I, also, do not enjoy being stuck between a table full of adults and 3 tables of under-10 children with the children running between the tables and shouting over my head about body functions and sickness and "Hey!!! Burgers are hearty and good portioned! I always get mine with garlic fries, and take time to get some complementary fresh pickles as well. The rotating beer selection always has something I like (there are IPAs but it's not all IPAs). Staff is friendly and efficient. Another sad trip to Acme. Which makes me sad. When I first time I came here I raved about the chilli cheese fries and today it's just sad. Before the $5 order would come with a large order of fries and a big bowl of chili but today I get half of that. I believe the issue was that he didn't know I wanted chilli fries with extra cheese. ACME Burger is not a table service place, so you place your order and they call you'd name when it's ready. The girl at the register was friendly and easy going. Ordering was straight forward as the menu is pretty simple (Not In&out simple) but out of hand either. After our friends arrived, we ordered dinner and the everything came out good. Not drop it all and call mama good, but better than what I can do good for sure. Going into a burger place located in a mini mall located near a college, I didn't expect much. Overall, ACME Birger was solid! They rose above the college town stigma and put out a worthy product at a very fair price. My X Husband comes in a month ago, hands me the menu to this place. My response.... Great, another burger place. I then threw the menu away. The lettuce crispy, firm tomatoes. **They understand what RARE means. Do you know how hard it is to get an appropriately cooked RARE burger in this town!!! Seriously. I just about gave up. Obviously I didn't, I love to eat. The have shoestring fries. I like the smaller French fry. The onion rings are even better than Sequoia's rings. My 3 year old likes the tater tots. There are other sandwich/burger choices, salads, soft serve ice cream etc. I will have to go back for the ice cream. One thing I learned about learning reviews....always try a place twice, if not more. Following my own advice, we just had lunch here again. Same thing. A decent addition to the Cotati food options. I've been three times. The first time was good, second time was ok, third time was frustrating. I'm sure I'll be back, but its not going to be as regularly as i had hoped. The line to order moves very slowly. I don't know if its the system or the operators, but it takes a lot of time to get everything into the computer. I've had the tuna and the turkey burgers. The first time i got the Tuna, it was perfect (a little messy but whatever), the second time the tuna was significantly over cooked. The turkey burger was a perfectly tasty burger. I got the salad as a side all three times. The bottled ranch dressing led me to change my order the second and third times. Thank goodness the pickled veggies are complementary because they always seem to be under-pickled. Food takes a little more time to come out than it should with a motto like "good food fast." This is one of those restaurants that has a few games for people to play while they wait. Unfortunately, that seems to send a signal to parents that they don't have to watch their children. The children run around screaming and playing games. If you're like me, that's an issue. As a side note to management, telling graduates to get a job is just tacky. Many of the students at SSU are working part time or full time jobs to make ends meet while getting their degrees. Always on the hunt for the next best burger joint, I turned to Yelp and you guys didn't disappoint. This place lives up to the hype! Brought my teen boy with massive appetite here to check it out and had the most amazing Impossible Burger (if you read my other reviews, you'll probably notice that I'm kind of obsessed with Impossible Burgers). Acme Burger makes a good one, and with so many options for condiments, you truly can't go wrong. The burgers are really delicious. The buns, while delicious, do leave a bit to be desired in terms of ability to stay in one piece till the end, but the texture and toasted ness is really a treat. So let's talk about the fries. And onion rings. OMG... The boy had the garlic fries (both times we went) and they disappeared quickly. The onion rings were fried perfectly. Not greasy at all (ok well a little--they are fried after all), and super crispy on the outside, tender on the outside. Perfection. Honestly. On my second visit, I had the sweet potato fries and they were similarly amazing... somehow very crisp and not greasy. They looked like they were a little charred (kind of on the dark side) but there wasn't a sign of char at all. I think they're just that way because they're so fresh. I love that they also offer those who have stronger willpower than I a whole list of salads (but I can't trust anyone who goes to a burger joint and buys a salad. Please.) I love the ambiance of this place too. It's just *fun*! With the old timey music playing in the background and parlor games available to play while you wait, the whole vibe says "come on in and stay awhile." We tried Acme yesterday (2/23/19) and it was outstanding. I ordered ya burger with Swiss cheese, caramelized onions and bacon. It comes with the Acme sauce (mayonnaise base), lettuce and tomato. We also ordered tater tots as the side. The burger was cooked perfect and the taste was fresh and so good!! The Acme sauce is also really good. The burger was pretty big and I could not finish even a third of my tots but enjoyed every bite. It's obviously a new restaurant, the staff who took our order seemed to be learning the POS system while we were there (that will obviously improve as they get more comfortable). The inside is welcoming, big and will be a great place to go for future meals. We'll go back...really enjoyed the experience and the food! read more
