Samantha helped us out and was very knowledgeable and helped us make sure we were covering all our bases. The extra delivery and installation fee was well worth it with how heavy and clunky the power lift chair is. I'm usually a figure out the logistics of installation myself to save some money, though I am glad I went with them taking care of delivery and installation for me. It is great to know we have such an accessibility equipment store like this in town, and even better to know my loved ones are more comfortable in their home thanks to the equipment they provide.

my iud removal quest: my appointment was at 9:15 am on a Friyay, i got here at like 8:20. i was out…read moreof there by noontime-30. it takes a while but it's a clinic not McDonalds :) bring a book or a crochet project or whatever brings you joy :) i checked in, waited, tv was staticky, they called my name, paid the piper, waited, moved from lobby to a different waiting room and did a pregnancy test, i think that's depending on what you're doing or standard procedure idk, wait again, go over paperwork, wait again, change into a gown that barely covers the booty and proceed to the procedure room. anyhow, that was my experience with my waiting process. i got my iud removed here successfully and replaced a few years ago. fast forward to a few years later i am back to have it removed. beforehand, i had an appointment at the Tulare location and she couldn't see the strings so she used some other mouskatools to try to go for the gold but no luck. the pain was so bad i thought i was in hell :/ i was so distraught and in pain that for the second appointment here in bakersfield (after a scheduling conflict, i had to reschedule again for the Friday timeframe) i was like hellsnah "someone sedate me" (cristina yang voice) so i opted for the iv where i was so out of it, i don't remember them removing it or feeling any pain whatsoever, but i was still awake. cool huh? i didn't even bleed one drop, unless i did and i don't remember. i do remember her showing me the iud, maybe for trust but verify haha or unless i dreamed that. the staff was fantastic, everyone there was just wonderful especially Zena, i remember the iv wasn't hitting me fast enough and i started freaking out (just breathing rapidly, nothing wild haha) and i remember she was calming me down and she was just a delight and really stood out to me. this place has great staff that have a lot of patience and help you be in a calm state of mind. it's a must for a place like this that offers extensive services. a pleasant experience is important and all of the staff at fpa really took great care of me.

After San Dimas closed, I needed to find a new place for all of my "womanly" needs. This place has been amazing. First of all, I have to praise Kristin Chisum: she was an amazing PA at San Dimas who transferred her services to CA Obstetrics & Gynecology. NO joke, she may be the best medical professional I've ever had because she LISTENS to me and takes my concerns seriously. I have been able to get tests, ultrasounds, treatment, and recommendations that many doctors have poo-poo'd in the past. I always leave this place relieved and happy to have somewhere I can go and be treated correctly. The staff is kind and helpful, the waiting room is nice, and they have a bathroom by the waiting room, so you don't need to hold your pee until you're closer to the exam room. That stuff is important for us little-bladder-havers. As a woman in her 40s, this place has been a blessing.

I recently had surgery here at MSC and was pretty close to backing down since I'm not a person who…read morevisits the hospital bed often. The last time I had surgery was when I was giving birth to my youngest who is now 20yrs old and that c-section kicked my butt. When I was brought to the back, I was greeted by several people to confirm my surgery to make sure I was the right patient and to verify what surgery was being done. This is protocol at hospitals and surgery centers to preventive errors. By the time I was brought to the surgery room I was having anxiety at this point. If it wasn't for the amazing staff at MSC I would have backed down. I was so shaken up, I asked the nurse in the surgery room if she was able to please hold my hand and without hesitation she was happy to hold my hand and then the other nurse came around the other side to hold my hand and after that I didn't remember anything. The anesthesiologist walked me thru and was talking me thru the process til I fell asleep and if it wasn't for the anesthesiologist and the 2 ladies, I probably would have backed down. I wish I remembered the ladies names to give them some praise and acknowledgement, but I was so nervous at the time I forgot. I have worked at medical facilities and I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and empathy. MSC is above standard and if you're going to have surgery here then you should know that you'll be taken care of. Staff is amazing. No one looks forward to surgeries/procedures, but MSC makes you feel at ease. I recommend this surgery center and I hope your visit is as successful as possible!
