I went in to get my tubes tied. I went in at 45am was early so waited in the car at 5am the security who was patrolling the area walked to my car and walked us to the front of the building when entering the nurse at the front desk greeted us super nice and sweet not many people like that in the morning but she was on it. When getting called back the nurse who took me back seated me said thank you and good luck, and had another nurse come in check my vitals draw my line for antibiotics, and IV and she was sweet she called my sister back and was just so good to me too, anesthesiologist came and explained what was going to happen asked questions very informative then the nurse who would be helping made her laugh she was sweet too and over all the best her bedside manner is amazing I told her that too because not many people are like that in the Healthcare industry. When getting to my room to do the surgery I asked if it was okay to pray and they said yes, they stood there silent and let me pray for them and to my god. God is great I tell ya. After getting the mask on me I was talking just saying I'm ready and was out. Dont remember much on and off, just remember my sister helping me get dressed, going to the car coming home and sleeping all day, thank you all for the love and care today. Dr Klis you are amazing as always best Dr I've had!!!!!! Oh they have this really cool shadow box picture of instruments used in the military back then too.

Overall, Millennium Surgery Center's medical staff all deserve a five star rating on yelp from our experience. My parent needed an eye surgery and this location was chosen by our provider. From beginning to end we received excellent customer service. The building is located in a good area, everything was clean, plenty of parking, clean restroom available and the whole process was simple. Thank you to all the staff at this location for treating my parent with care and respect. I am also very grateful they have Spanish speaking staff that made the process easier.

Such a wonderful experience. Spotlessly clean and the nurses are first class. The front end staff was just as professional.

From check-in in the reception area, to each nurse that checked on me (I think there were 3), the anesthesiologist and of course, my doctor.

I had accepted that it was just part of aging, but I really wanted the freedom to see clearly without constantly reaching for my glasses. A friend recommended Luxor Eye Institute, and I'm so glad they did. From the moment I walked in, the experience felt first-class. The staff is warm, attentive, and incredibly professional. Dr. Kouchouk took his time explaining all my options, and we decided on the Light Adjustable Lens. What stood out to me was the level of precision. The idea that you can actually "fine-tune" your vision after surgery is amazing--and it truly works. After my adjustments, my vision is better than I can ever remember. I can read, drive, and go about my day without glasses. It honestly feels like turning back the clock. This was one of the best decisions I've made for myself. If you're on the fence about cataract surgery or want the absolute best outcome, I cannot recommend Luxor enough.

My mother was seen by Dr. Amr Kouchouk in January and was scheduled for cataract surgery in April…read more She obtained medical clearance in March, which was faxed to Luxor Eye Institute as instructed. On the Friday prior to her scheduled surgery, I called to confirm the procedure time. I was routed to a call center and informed that a message would be sent to the surgery coordinator to return my call. I did not receive a response. On the Monday morning of the scheduled surgery, I called again and spoke with Monse, who advised that confirmations were not yet available but that she would call me back. She also instructed me to follow up if I had not heard back by 4:45 PM. I called again at 2:00 PM and received the same response. At 4:00 PM, I was told the surgery coordinator was unavailable but would return my call. After still not receiving any follow-up, I called again at 4:45 PM and was finally able to speak with the surgery coordinator, Cassandra. At that time, I was informed that my mother was not on the surgery schedule. I was further advised that no authorization had been obtained from her insurance, and that the office staff had left early the previous Friday. Cassandra stated that she was unsure what had occurred and offered to reschedule the procedure. This situation is extremely concerning. My mother had been scheduled for surgery for three months, and despite submitting the required medical clearance, no authorization was ever requested from her insurance. This represents a significant breakdown in administrative processes. I requested to speak with a manager, and was connected again with Monse. She acknowledged that she had not verified the surgery schedule. This experience has been both frustrating and stressful. Coordinating care for my parents requires careful planning, and this lack of communication and follow-through has caused unnecessary disruption not only for me and my brother, but also for my mother, who was fully prepared for her procedure

The drops always made her vision feel worse, and when my mom tried to tell him, he would get mad at her. At every visit, he would say her eye pressure was "very high" and repeatedly pushed surgery. When my mom said she wanted a second opinion, it REALLY pissed him off. Her drops were switched almost every visit, with no clear explanation and no improvement. Eventually we sought care elsewhere (ACE Eye Care). Over multiple visits, her eye pressure has been normal every time, and her new doctor performed far more thorough testing. Based on those exams, she was told she does not have glaucoma. The office environment was also extremely concerning. The office was dirty, dust throughout, restrooms that looked neglected, and exam rooms that did not feel clean. We personally did not see any equipment being disinfected between patients. While many reviews complain about the receptionist, he was actually polite. It seemed like the problem was understaffing, he looked overwhelmed since he was responsible for nearly everything in the office. Overall, this practice felt rushed and volume-focused rather than patient-focused. Its literally a MILL. We felt unheard, pressured, and uncomfortable. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this office to go somewhere else.

My freckle has been stable until this visit, when it changed shapes, size, and now had fluid. When he told me that I knew right then I had cancer. He didn't have to tell me, but what he did say was, "we need to get you to Dr. Tara McCannel at UCLA." She is well renowned ocular surgeon and works with patients that have this rare cancer. Sis in one million are diagnosed. It's aggressive, and it likes to metastasize to the liver. Within the week, I was at UCLA having ultrasounds and scans confirming what I already knew. I wasn't sure I was going to share this information, and then one of my kids mentioned that it could help somebody else. Your regular eyeglass doctor will not see if you have a freckle behind your eye. It is a retina doctor that can see it and monitor it. Usually, by the time it's found, it's too big to possibly even save your eyesight or it has metastasize. So, people get your eyes checked don't let it go. Life gets busy, and we like to put things off thank God this was being watched. If you need a retina doctor, I highly recommend Dr. Gupta. *** after healing from a week of plaque radiation surgery something felt off. I returned to Dr. Gupta and he found that my retina had detached. Within a day I was having surgery again at UCLA. Thank you Dr. Gupta for taking great care of me. 4/29/26 4/29/26
