I was referred to Brimhall Pharmacy after…read moreexperiencing a backorder issue with Walgreens for an undisclosed medication for a disclosed condition. I came to pick up the prescription for my daughter today only to find out that they will no longer fill this prescription because the insurance benefit puts the pharmacy at a loss rather than a financial gain. This particular pharmacy has come highly recommended by the provider and sends quite a bit of business their way. I was further told that this $16 loss is not sustainable to their business. When I advised the pharmacist that the provider sends a lot of business there. I was met with crickets. It was very discouraging to hear that my daughter could potentially bankrupt the pharmacy over $16. Clearly the pharmacy is not in business to take care of patients but more worried about their bottom line. I think there many happy 5 star reviews will keep them operating in the black.
