Thanks Jamie & Greg for always answering the phone & always making sure to get to the vehicle so quickly! My boss was shocked how quickly you guys had our truck picked up and taken to the shop, that he said ACE is now the ONLY tow company we call for our business needs as well!! Then these 2 helped my Uncle who owns a local body shop, he had a break-in and these guys went above and beyond to help out!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Keep up the good work guys!! You are an asset to the community for sure!!! read more

This company is the worst\nThey are a bunch of crooks , predators , i witnessed them damage vehicles , and then deny it. Constantly ripping off people's front bumpers and then trying to put them back on themselves like nothing ever happened in still charging them $270 to get their vehicle back. The absolute worst I would not recommend them if I could give them lower than one star. I would read more

This company works for apartment complexes and will tow your vehicle with or without proper stickers. After towing a vehicle with proper stickers they refuse to bring vehicle back and you have to go pick up even though they were in the wrong. Don't know if it's retarded drivers they have or if just the whole entire company are retards , including the owners. read more

*CHECK WHAT TOWING COMPANY YOUR APARTMENT CONTRACTS WITH* If it's these guys, pray your car never gets towed by them. Hands down the most unprofessional tow-shop I've had to deal with. When I arrived there was nobody there, called the number on the sign and the first words out of their mouth were "Are you paying with cash". Man showed up with a bag of gas-station canned cocktails (actively drinking on the sidewalk), said he was an employee and asked to use my phone to call a different employee who showed up shortly after. The only paperwork they had was a stack of post-it notes that had various tow dates and times. They struggled to identify when my car was towed and how much it would cost me. They came up with a total, and I went to pay and they had no cash for change after they specifically asked that I pay cash. After having to go get change I returned, paid and then they had to send someone to go to a different employee who was at a restaurant to get the gate keys. Once they opened the gate, they said I was good to go. I said that I was not due to my car being parked in behind multiple other cars. They then had to call another employee and bring a tow truck from across town to move the cars, which allowed me to finally leave. read more

Dirty MF came and towed my car because the parking lot where I live at was full so LIKE I ALWAYS DO I parker in the handicapped spot. Been doing it for 2 years I lived here. read more

My car was towed within about 10 minutes of being parked. I understand that I was parked improperly, but charging $240 for an immediate release is excessive. On top of that, the staff's behavior was rude and unprofessional. This company seems more focused on profiting from minor mistakes than treating people with basic respect. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Aces Towing. read more

If you could give 0 stars I would. This place will say they are saving you money when repairing your vehicle. Then when it looks like your toddler fixed it they want to say "oh, you wanted to save money". No I wanted my vehicle to be fixed as it was before the accident. Stay far away! read more

Legit following an Ace truck right now. The driver, who was picking his nose, pulled out in front of us without stopping at the stop sign at all. We got to the stop light by Summit, it was red, not freshly red but probably halfway through the cycle, he ran right through it, without even slowly down. We caught up at the next light, he is currently sitting halfway through the lane, clearly attempted to run this light too but forced to stop. I would not trust my car on the back of this truck! read more

Towed from an apartment while Doordashing food to that apartment. 5 minutes. This isnt just the worst most unprofessional business i've ever interacted with but truly most predatory scumbag humans I've ever interacted with. I watched them tow another guy from the same complex after towing mine. They pretend their credit card machine is broken/out of service to force you to pay them cash. Refuse to give a receipt. At the time of writing this they have 53 reviews, 44 of which are 1 star all with horror stories. I will be lodging a complain with every organization that I can think of, hopefully eventually they get shut down and stop extorting people. Every one of the 5 people I had interaction with during the process was EXCESSIVELY rude for absolutely no reason. read more

Extremely bad business was 2 hours late getting there this morning pulled my shed halfway up the yard and left it told me they were going to get another truck and they would be right back and they never came back left all my stuff sitting in the yard with my shed drug halfway up the front yard and now they won't answer the phone go figure read more

Maybe it was my bad... but this felt predatorial. I was delivering with DoorDash and was literally gone for less than 60 seconds and they already had my car up. Which means they are probably waiting for someone to do this. Had to pay $100 cash for them to drop it. Guess I worked that night for nothing. Anything to make a buck right! read more

These people right here are some sleezeballs and will tow your car without and reason or warning for quite literally no reason other than to make them selves some more money. read more

Let me rectify all the different reviews here. There are a ton of negative reviews, and most of them are about them towing cars which makes sense why people would be frustrated. I got my car serviced by them recently, and they did everything I wanted to get done, for WAY cheaper then anything in Charlottesville. He even showed me the receipts for the parts he got. He got it done the next day. It was a quick service. Jamie was a genuinely nice guy. Was he a little dishonest with the times he gave? For sure. However, he still got my car fixed fairly quickly. Minus the car smelling a little like weed upon pick up, and the towing time and repair time longer then he kept saying, I'd say it was a job well done! read more

Aces Towing - Jamie and his truck - Towing Near Me - Charlottesville, Virginia

This is an establishment and a business, the worker who got my car out was extremely rude and unprofessional. This slum of a place needs to be shut down. I have never experienced such awful and disgusting attitude towards me in my life! If your car gets towed by them, good luck because it was disgusting and disappointing to be talked down on like a peasant of a person. read more

If I could rate this company negative one thousand, I would. They are scum of the earth, every single one of them. They wrongfully tow cars, they do not check the tags or inspections. They are scammers, complete scammers. They tow at random to meet a quota because they are all scumbags. I hate going to their disgusting locations and I hate having to deal with their awful personalities and I hate the idea that they ever even touched my car with their disgusting, scamming hands. This business needs to get shut down, they are 100% a money laundering scheme and I don't know how the owner has managed to keep a business for this long. The idea that they were allowed to own a BAR AND GRILL made me completely lose faith in humanity. Judging by the state of their car yards and auto shop, I can't imagine that the bar would pass inspection. The day that this place gets shut down, I will celebrate. read more

Good group of guys... idk why they get so much hate everyone was really helpful and respectful 10/10 recommend

Beware!! This place is full of scam artists. Don't park anywhere around the Cville U-haul at Moose's Lodge. They will tow you and pressure you into a drive two blocks away to their tow yard. they wait for you to park at the u-haul and then tow you. Have someone drop you off and pick you up. Shady and dangerous. read more

This "business" deserves negative stars. I get it, some cars should be towed for being parked somewhere they shouldn't be. But to tow residents cars from a place where they already pay exorbitant rent prices takes a real scumbag. These guys and the apartment complex's they tow from have some sort of kickback scheme. I caught them at 10:45 towing my son's car that he has only had a month and forgot to put the paper copy of residency in his window and they drove away on its rim blowing the tire in the process. They said they would take it off the tow for $100 cash. Does that sound like legit business? Scum, real scum of the earth. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This towing company is completely incompetent. Not only did they tow the wrong car, but they also damaged a vehicle in the process. . They refused to take any responsibility for their mistakes and left me to deal with the repairs on my own. I've never dealt with such unprofessionalism in my life. Save yourself the trouble and stay far away from this company. Terrible service, terrible attitude, and no accountability. read more

I have video proof of them breaking into Cars when they tow them in the middle of the night

They towed the wrong car when called for UVA student apartments this weekend and left the correct car parked illegally in a spot.

My car was towed from Crescent Hall apartments by IX park/ACAC on Monticello. Spoke to security guard at CH and told to call Aces Towing. It was @10pm. Told I could get my car that night if I paid cash ($175), or wait till morning and can pay with credit card. I opted to pick up next day @ 10:30 am. Got a ride to 90 Rives Street in Belmont. No one at the location. Called office, no answer. Called again, told to call "Gary". Gary only accepts cash ($170), no receipt. Shady business practices. IRS should investigate. read more

They are one of the worst towing companies. They are very disrespectful and rude as hell. They don't answer the phone or when you text they block you. They told me that my car was parking in a "No Parking Zone" there are no signs anywhere at Hardy Drive Stating that it is ! They won't even let you get things out of car. I will not pay for an unauthorized tow . Charges have been filed for "Stolen Property" I gave a 1 but needs to be ZERO read more

Awful people, awful company. Towed unauthorized vehicles, not approved by the leasing office of my apartment complex and were incredibly rude in the process. Predatory to say the least. Just looking to take advantage of people who are unaware of their scheme, would not wish on my worst enemy. Would give negative stars if possible. 0/10. read more

Today woke up to go work and get my son to school! Go out to my car and no car! I was livid! That putting it nicely! Call them because the people where I live said they seen the man going through my car!!!??? What???? Oh let's not forget that most important part! Try to say that my decals were dead. No they're not then it was my inspection. No it's not clearly you were either high drunk or couldn't see. I don't know which one but everything on my car is legal!!! So once again why was my car towed and your nasty ass worker all in my car!!! Not happy at all! My apartment place need to get a new Towe company that read! Towed my car at 0230 at night with no notification from my daughters apartment and I was not notified. When I figured out where it was. They charged me $260. Won't own up to their mistakes and are seeking for any penny they can, not someone I would trust touching my car or even looking at it. Hit my friends gfs car and won't do nothing abt it, truly is a shame that people do something like that are arent willing to make it right. read more

This company is the absolute worst. They tow from apartment complexes when you are parked for a few hours visiting a friend. They charge 200 dollars to pick it up and I don't even have 200 dollars. This is extortion and they're karma will come for them for ruining my life. read more

Great towing service, they helped me out during easter weekend when my car got a flat. Rather than just dropping me off at the auto shop that was trying to sell me a brand new tire, Jamie spent the time to examine the tire, realize we could plug it, used his own plug and taught me along the way with no charge. Rest of the guys at the shop were pleasant as well. Definitely will be my go to shop for whenever i am in town. read more

These guys are scammers do not use them. Police and lawyers are constantly over there and have been trying to shut them down. Cash only exact change, super rude, absolute terrible business. Did not provide reason for being towed on my receipt as well. Been towed twice in the past two weeks from my apartment complex that I live at. read more

shady business with no honesty or character. The workers did not keep their word and wait when I said I was going to get cash at an atm they suggested that was broken & then proceeded to tow my car away even though I was present and had the originally agreed upon cash. The people were vile and demeaning & made plenty of personal attacks. read more

Towed my truck late at night from the side of a state highway, communicated time and confirmed pickup. Even found my missing wheel in the median! Dropped off at repair shop neatly in a good spot, really appreciate the extra effor form this team read more

We had a project in the area. Which required having a scissor lift moved to multiple locations. They were available 7 days a week. They stayed on call. Every time my crew called they answered right away. The service was spot on. No long waits no excuses that they couldn't come. I will definitely use them if I have another project in the area. They were very reasonably priced. I deal with a lot of towing companies. They definitely were on the cheaper side. Helps reduce expenses and I appreciate that. read more

I would do zero, but as you see there is no zero! This place is a scam. Go through apartment complexes and tow cars that are residence! Then charge a price higher because they tow in the late night! The complexes are contracted with them! Told you can not pick up until after hours, and being charged more also! I had a rental car where the apartment sticker fell off it was off our car that was in n accident a couple of days prior. They were the rudest people. When my daughter went to get the car, the guy was the rudest and They did not even offer a receipt!!!!!! Go to Charlottesville Wrecker for your service!!!!! read more

This company should be shut down immediately. I sat for two hours with an elderly couple (one with special needs) in a hot car, in the middle of July. They never showed. After given a very specific address, I had to call them to see where they were and they were 45 minutes away claiming they thought that was the location I meant. I asked what their ETA would be (knowing how far away they were but testing their honesty) and they told me they were 20 minutes away. I didn't have it in me to argue so I said okay. 20 minutes went by and no answer when calling again. They never came. I sat for an hour and a half calling them. They never came or called back. I texted the owner the next night and he said "things happen" as an excuse for his dishonesty, and lack of any morals. I will have this business closed by years end. read more

absolute garbage towing company they're thieves and crooks. they require you to have cash, doesn't communicate, and extremely rude and literally treated us like trash. took the owner 5 minutes to figure out how to open his own gate . clearly shady business going on read more

My mother's vehicle died in the middle of the street on a holiday weekend. As we were calling to get roadside assistance, Jamie pulled up and asked how he could help. We live and hour and a half away, he said no problem and got us hitched and down the road. Turns out he was done for the day and about to head home. This angel went above and beyond to help a car full of stranded ladies and we are so thankful. His rates were very reasonable and if I know anyone needing a tow, I will always recommend Aces Towing. read more

So I was parked in a friend's parking lot and they were like 'hey guy, can I move your car for you?' And I was like 'sure! Thanks man' Just kidding. That never happened. There was no consent.
