*CHECK WHAT TOWING COMPANY YOUR APARTMENT CONTRACTS WITH* If it's these guys, pray your car never gets towed by them. Hands down the most unprofessional tow-shop I've had to deal with. When I arrived there was nobody there, called the number on the sign and the first words out of their mouth were "Are you paying with cash". Man showed up with a bag of gas-station canned cocktails (actively drinking on the sidewalk), said he was an employee and asked to use my phone to call a different employee who showed up shortly after. The only paperwork they had was a stack of post-it notes that had various tow dates and times. They struggled to identify when my car was towed and how much it would cost me. They came up with a total, and I went to pay and they had no cash for change after they specifically asked that I pay cash. After having to go get change I returned, paid and then they had to send someone to go to a different employee who was at a restaurant to get the gate keys. Once they opened the gate, they said I was good to go. I said that I was not due to my car being parked in behind multiple other cars. They then had to call another employee and bring a tow truck from across town to move the cars, which allowed me to finally leave. read more

Legit following an Ace truck right now. The driver, who was picking his nose, pulled out in front of us without stopping at the stop sign at all. We got to the stop light by Summit, it was red, not freshly red but probably halfway through the cycle, he ran right through it, without even slowly down. We caught up at the next light, he is currently sitting halfway through the lane, clearly attempted to run this light too but forced to stop. This isnt just the worst most unprofessional business i've ever interacted with but truly most predatory scumbag humans I've ever interacted with. I watched them tow another guy from the same complex after towing mine. They pretend their credit card machine is broken/out of service to force you to pay them cash. Refuse to give a receipt. Let me rectify all the different reviews here. There are a ton of negative reviews, and most of them are about them towing cars which makes sense why people would be frustrated. I got my car serviced by them recently, and they did everything I wanted to get done, for WAY cheaper then anything in Charlottesville. He even showed me the receipts for the parts he got. He got it done the next day. It was a quick service. Jamie was a genuinely nice guy. Was he a little dishonest with the times he gave? For sure. However, he still got my car fixed fairly quickly. Minus the car smelling a little like weed upon pick up, and the towing time and repair time longer then he kept saying, I'd say it was a job well done! read more

If I could rate this company negative one thousand, I would. They are scum of the earth, every single one of them. They wrongfully tow cars, they do not check the tags or inspections. I hate going to their disgusting locations and I hate having to deal with their awful personalities and I hate the idea that they ever even touched my car with their disgusting, scamming hands. This business needs to get shut down, they are 100% a money laundering scheme and I don't know how the owner has managed to keep a business for this long. The idea that they were allowed to own a BAR AND GRILL made me completely lose faith in humanity. This "business" deserves negative stars. I get it, some cars should be towed for being parked somewhere they shouldn't be. But to tow residents cars from a place where they already pay exorbitant rent prices takes a real scumbag. These guys and the apartment complex's they tow from have some sort of kickback scheme. I caught them at 10:45 towing my son's car that he has only had a month and forgot to put the paper copy of residency in his window and they drove away on its rim blowing the tire in the process. They towed the wrong car when called for UVA student apartments this weekend and left the correct car parked illegally in a spot.

My car was towed from Crescent Hall apartments by IX park/ACAC on Monticello. Spoke to security guard at CH and told to call Aces Towing. It was @10pm. Told I could get my car that night if I paid cash ($175), or wait till morning and can pay with credit card. I opted to pick up next day @ 10:30 am. Got a ride to 90 Rives Street in Belmont. No one at the location. Called office, no answer. Called again, told to call "Gary". Gary only accepts cash ($170), no receipt. Shady business practices. IRS should investigate. read more

Great towing service, they helped me out during easter weekend when my car got a flat. Rather than just dropping me off at the auto shop that was trying to sell me a brand new tire, Jamie spent the time to examine the tire, realize we could plug it, used his own plug and taught me along the way with no charge. We had a project in the area. Which required having a scissor lift moved to multiple locations. They were available 7 days a week. They stayed on call. Every time my crew called they answered right away. The service was spot on. No long waits no excuses that they couldn't come. I will definitely use them if I have another project in the area. This company should be shut down immediately. I sat for two hours with an elderly couple (one with special needs) in a hot car, in the middle of July. They never showed. After given a very specific address, I had to call them to see where they were and they were 45 minutes away claiming they thought that was the location I meant. I asked what their ETA would be (knowing how far away they were but testing their honesty) and they told me they were 20 minutes away. I didn't have it in me to argue so I said okay. 20 minutes went by and no answer when calling again. They never came. I sat for an hour and a half calling them. They never came or called back. I texted the owner the next night and he said "things happen" as an excuse for his dishonesty, and lack of any morals. I will have this business closed by years end. read more
