I was parked legally in front of my building for an entire week and they came and towed my car for $150. I showed them my pass when I got there and they told me to take it up with my buildings management. Extremely predatory towing business and EXTREMELY rude. I was ready to come in and pay just to get out of there but the towing guy and front desk lady started arguing and yelling at me. They need to be shut down IMMEDIATELY. They also have the wrong addresses on their towing signs which is technically considered false advertising, but will argue with you about that. They towed my car right before they closed as well to try and add on an extra $100 to my bill for every night its in their lot. SO SHADY!!!! read more

If I could give these guys a zero, I would. Predatory towing seems to be their business model. I parked in a public lot, downloaded the app, and, to be fair, I put in the wrong license plate but paid for my parking and had more than 45 minutes left when I came back to the lot. When I got to the tow yard, I explained the situation again, and the gal at the desk said these guys are paid on commission (for the tow), so I'd be taking money out of their pocket. No respect at all! Karma is going to come fast for these folks. My car was towed from 5th street station where these guys were roaming the parking lot like hustler. I called and told the lady that there were and still are 5 other cars parked just like mine to which she replied " Well they can only tow one car at a time they'll be back to towe another" When I got there these people were dirty (literally unkemp) and RUDE. There were so many phone calls coming in and I was trying to ask questions and one of the guys got up to charge my card. He said " If you just do what I TELL YOU and canceled my card. Yeah, I'll gladly give this company 0 stars. They basically stole my car from its legally parked spot downtown Charlotte, and charged $150 to release it from its impound lot. Mind you, I was visiting for the first (and last!) time; downloaded the ParkMobile app, paid for an hour of parking. Had dinner, came back... car was gone. Wtf??? Tow truck driver could only say his app did not show my car as registered. The receipt on my phone said I was legally parked. Even a ParkMobile rep said, "Yeah, looks like you were legally parked..." but couldn't explain WHY my car had been towed. Someone is making a LOT of money off this scam. Customer service was horrible, male was using fowl language and slammed the door in my face, there was a big dog loose and asked if they would put dog up and they were very disrespectful. Towing guy parked his truck behind my car in a parking garage and demanded $25 cash to let me leave. I was illegally parked, to be fair, but was about to move my car and was present before he had even begun to hook up to my car. I looked up Charlottesville drop fee laws afterward and realized his actions were shady and completely illegal. Collier's Towing towed my car from my apartment for not having a parking pass. That's not even the bad part. When they towed my car, they smashed the aluminum oil pan with their tow arm. Fortunately, I caught it before leaving their lot, and went in to talk to them. Long story short, the nasty woman at the desk told me I was lying, that I broke it before they towed it, and they weren't going to cover it. My car is now undriveable, and I'm in the process of filing a lawsuit. Check the pictures and tell me this isn't the most blatantly obvious cover up you've seen. The oil on the arm is pitch black, just like the oil from my car (it's a diesel Jetta), the oil is on the arm right where the oil pan on my car is, the cut on my oil pan fits the arm on the truck perfectly. Pathetic liars. These people should be shut down for the shady, dishonest business they run. read more

My car was parked legally as I had paid for it at downtown mall. I came back from work and my car was gone, I double checked my time ticket and I had plenty of time left. I called the woman in charge and respectfully said I think there has been a mistake made and she said "no your car was illegally parked, you can come to this address to get your car". I had said I was not going to pay to get my car back after it was parked legally and she hung up the phone. I ended up getting a ride to their address and went in to tell them there had been a mistake made. They started calling me names and making me feel like an incompetent woman, one dude even grabbed my arm. They over charge. The guy towed my car for 7minutes and charged me $150. The have a deal with the albermarle police department where they are on a list and they rotate on that list who receives a call among other towing companies. Based on my interactions I do not think the PD acts in a fiduciary manner when Calling a tow truck on your behalf. Just call the tow truck urself. Do thank the officers help in helping me remove my disables vehicle to a safe spot and for making sure I went to my destination safely. honestly even though getting towed sucks, colliers was quick and told me everything I needed over the phone (payment,directions, when they close). Someone was there when I got there, he took my payment and opened the gate for me. The whole ordeal took 3 minutes. Yelp and google maps have the wrong address. I called them to remove a car that was parked without a permit in a reserved parking lot. A pleasant woman took down the make and model of the car and assured me they would send someone out to check. An hour later and the car is still there, so I call again and ask about the status of the call. The guy tells me they weren't able to find that car in the lot, so the drivers must have not looked very carefully. I ask if the drivers can check again as the car is still obviously here. The guy gets snippy and tells me they can't just drive around lots since they're on calls (even though, you know, I was making a call to ask them to take care of this), but they will check again when they can. I ask if they need any further information, like the exact location or the license plate, and he tells me no, they don't, they just need the make and model. Even though that's exactly what I gave them the first time, and they couldn't find it them! I'm reading the other reviews and I'm surprised they were even able to tow any cars as the drivers seem to be too incompetent or lazy to find offending cars, and the second service rep I spoke to was too arrogant or ashamed to accept any further information and get their job done right. read more

She said that she was relying on an adding machine but when we went through the math she said "I've been in business for 25 years so it's right. ". Horrible horrible customer service. Tow driver told them they could pay cash and would give them the car for $150.00 cash. they went to pick it up, they are kids, they had 2 hundred dollars and no change. When they said they didn't have the exact amount he changed his story and said he couldnt release it without the owner's permission and then went on to curse out my grandson while I was on the phone! fast forward a half hour and I arrive. Driver said it would cost 170.00! he refused to let my grandson on the property. Knew the registration was in the car because he had already seen it! Now he has everything he needed and he tells me without a key he can't give me my car!!! Thank god the key was in the car because at this point I'm ready to loose it! He starts to tell me the same line of crap that he is going to call the police on me, I told please do! I was in a accident and the owner wasnt polite at all. She is all about money and very rude. Went too get our belongings from the car and she made us pay before we could even open the car door. I paid for parking in downtown charlottesville in the lot run by Parkmobile and received a receipt. I came back to find no car. I called Colliers and the man said that he had my car. He said a digit was wrong on my license plate. That is not so. All he wanted was $125.00 to give me my car back. Took Uber there and it was not a good place to be - off road and very deserted. No company name on door and door locked. Asked Uber driver to please not leave me before I got my car. A gruff man came and would not give me a reason why my car was towed. He towed my car away with impunity. All he said was "master or visa". I think there is a big problem with the authority given to tow companies and a possible problem with how they get paid for being the enforcers for the parking lots. The day of car towing, my parkmoble app showed that i had parked and paid. The following day, it disappeared as if i just parked without paying. I have my email confirmation and pending charge on my credit card which proves otherwise. I"d give them zero stars if yelp gave me that choice. read more

This company is keeping up the stereotype. I observed employees near Food Lion on 5th St. dealing with a woman in a completely unnecessary manner. They were verbally abusive, insulting and far from considerate. Also, they were filthy and I could smell them from a distance. True PARASITES they are. On the bright side at least they have jobs and aren't living off the system. If you can call that lifestyle living. No one's ever here when you have to come pick up your car. They make you wait for a long time since they're too busy towing other people's car. Place is run down and poorly maintained. Fees are unreasonable. Directions to get here are wrong on the website and signs are small and unclear. It's a shame we even have this in Charlottesville. read more

Wish i could give negative stars! This place is a complete joke. Called them and was told by a man there at 7:51am my car "should be about $125 if it's picked up after 8:00am". My boyfriend went to get the car and they wanna charge over double that amount. They say that apparently no male was working the phones that morning and wouldn't say who was there earlier in the day.
