Ordered Ace's to-go and I find that it's a solid meal option in the area. This place isn't your traditional NY slice, as the slices are more of a deep dish style. The corners are a bit crispy and the sauce was flavorful. They supplied enough toppings that were great for what they were. It's worth checking out, but if you're looking for a classic NY slice, I recommend going elsewhere
I imagine, if you ever move to NYC from a small town and feel lonely or homesick, you could go here and instantly feel like youre back home in your dive bar that hasnt been remodled since 1980 or before. Got the cheeseburger pizza which was pretty good. Crusty crust but light bready style dough. Something was wrong with the soda? Didnt taste right. Decor was cool, servers were either out to lunch or overworked. Ill bet on the latter. One stool I sat on was on its literal last leg.

This is located in 30 Rock building (NBC Studios neon sign) - we walked in across from Christie's, so if you're unsure walk down the side of FAO Shartz and you'll see where to walk in. Small place, we sat in the dine-in and ordered two individual pizzas to share. Pepperoni and cheeseburger. Detroit style, nice crisp and very flavorful. Would eat here again and would recommend it as one of the best pizza places in Midtown
A must stop for my family any time we're in the city. On our first visit my son said "I can never eat pizza in Vegas again". We've been here 3 separate times and it's been great EVERY time. Food is great, service is top notch!! It's a small space, so be prepared to wait a little while for a table at peak time.
Loved the atmosphere. It is a small place with good Detroit style deep dish pizza. Cute vintage/80s items, games, and floppy disks for decor. Who could ask for anything more ? Service was good. No complaints

Ace's Pizza really surprised me but in a good way! Randomly saw this pizza place and decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did. The lady at the counter was very patient in explaining that it's a Detroit style pizza, and that they're baked in square dishes. She even recommended the best vegetarian options. Tried the veggie one and it was hands down one of the best pizzas I've ever tasted. So good, and I'll definitely go back sometime!

The bartender let us know the kitchen was closing and we needed to out in our order asap if we wanted to eat. We were hungry but more thirsty and got our beers first. Did get an order of the garlic bread and a personal size mushroom with chicken pizza. The prices were definitely New York prices. The pizza was Detroit style which I was not expecting. It was good enough. They were kind enough to let me charge my dead phone. Also had Christmas decorations and the grinch playing. Loved that along with the Christmas music! Spanish: espués de un largo día de viaje y de estar fuera de casa, una pizza y una cerveza fueron el final perfecto para una noche ya de por sí estupenda. El camarero nos avisó de que la cocina estaba a punto de cerrar y que teníamos que pedir rápido si queríamos cenar. Teníamos hambre, pero más sed, así que pedimos las cervezas primero. También pedimos pan de ajo y una pizza individual de champiñones con pollo. Los precios eran típicos de Nueva York. La pizza era estilo Detroit, lo cual no me esperaba. Estaba bastante buena. So I had to try the pizza here because it was "Detroit Style" and well I am from Detroit and having Detroit Style pizza in NYC means I have to judge it. The pizza was good but I ate so much food I couldn't finish it and the guys were cool and talked to me a little bit about the Detroit area. It's a small little spot inside the Rockefeller Center. Really cool place.
This place was actually better than expected, it is at Rockefeller plaza which I have visited over the years but never actually gone through the area where the restaurants are. The restaurant itself was small and the day we went was not super busy, there's another section for pickup which is nice to know. We oder have vodka half cheese medium size which was pretty good for 2 people. I do enjoy me some detroit style pizza so this one did not disappoint, the later that was serving us was a little dry but pizza was definitely one we will get again in the future.
Honestly the best meat lovers pizza I've ever had, even reheated. Got it Ubered so I can't speak of the service/ambiance that but I'll definitely be visiting here again soon.

Nice situation here in the rink level of Rockefeller center. One side is sit down, across the hall is the take out where you can stand and eat or wait and take away when it is finished baking. This is tasty deep dish pizza which means alot of bread. So get ready to carb load. read more
Cuisine: 7 Service: 7 Decor: 6 Value: 7 Overall: 7 This small chain serving Detroit style pizza has been around for a while now. I have been to this location underneath Rockefeller Center several times now, but last week was my first dine in experience across the hallway in their sit down restaurant area. The space looks like an old school Italian restaurant, with a small menu focused on their pizza and a few appetizers/salads too. Our server was busy, but still quite courteous. Food was served quickly. For appetizers, two of us ordered the Creamy Caesar, which was pretty solid. Some of the best croutons I ever had. So was the Meatballs, which were sizable and tasty. The meat felt tighter than most I have eaten, with probably less breadcrumbs. I however do not mind since it felt meaty. As for the pizzas, the crust has a nice crispy edge, but the center of the crust is more like a thick fluffy and soft bread. I do wish they provide more tomato sauce, but the toppings are good. I needed the leftover tomato sauce from meatballs to zest up my Supreme and Cheese Pizzas. Btw, from previous visits, I think the Pepperoni is possibly my favorite. Having a change of pace with Detroit style pizza every once in a while is nice. However, I am a NY pizza guy through and through. What I prefer is still a crispy and thin slice of pizza from my neighborhood joint. read more
Ace's is a great spot and serves great "Detroit" style pizza smack in the middle of Midtown Manhattan. Located in the underground shopping area of Rockefeller Center it's a little convoluted to get to but once you find it, you won't be disappointed. The ambiance harkens back to the 1980's with the decor and a small tv that has retro 80s programming on a loop. It's noisy and the restaurant is split between two sides, one side is takeout, the other is dine in. The pizza itself was delicious. The service was great and we didn't wait long for the food even though they were busy. read more

Been to the Brooklyn location before and loved the pizza. I saw this Rockefeller location and there were a few people waiting so I decided to get a slice. No seats but standing counter , I ordered anyway. They do personal pan here, so not really a slice, very filling. My pizza was ready in about 10 minutes, I was kinda in a time crunch but I had enough time to eat. Walking away from the register all I could think of was how much I would have preferred to sit. Great music was playing so I could at least enjoy that along with the pizza( which I knew would not disappoint). I set my self up by the front window and as I look up and across I see a whole dinning room ( WHAT!!!) . I could hear myself laughing at me lol.. So the shop is actually 2 sections, each half across the hallway (mere footsteps apart) . Had I not been lightheaded from hunger I might have noticed, nevertheless the next time I go I'll be sure to head to the other side. They have table service, and I think I saw a bar . I noticed workers taking pizza from the side I was on over to the other . Either way, Ace's has phenomenal pizza and the staff is friendly, whether you sit or stand you're going to leave with a satisfied belly. read more

Delicious! Today, my partner and I spontaneously decided to try this pizza spot inside Rockefeller center, and it did not disappoint! The restaurant's decor gives such a cozy home-y vibe that we absolutely adored. My partner said he felt like he was in Stranger Things, I felt like I was in my grandma's home lol! The "con" is that the space is pretty small (so probably not ideal for bigger parties that are larger than 4 people) and also when we were first got there, it was pretty hot. Anyways, The process goes: you wait outside to be seated, you sit, order, eat, and then pay by the bar area once you're done eating. We ordered the pepper trio pizza (personal 8"), Ace's meatballs, and vodka meatball pizza (personal 8"). At first glance, I thought the size of the pizzas were small, but after eating, I realized it was honestly the perfect portion for me because I felt super full afterwards! Overall, the pizzas were absolutely delicious!!! The crust was buttery & crunchy on the outside but soft inside, the pepper trio was on the sweet side (not spicy at all), and the vodka meatball pizza was more on the savory side so it felt like we got the best of both worlds. The meatballs were good, but too firm for our liking. I'll be honest, there's def more pizza options out there that are cheaper & still tasty (especially in nyc), but I believe the whole experience this spot gives (the atmosphere + food) makes it worth it to at least try once! read more

Went with a group of 9, unfortunately no seats were available but we were able to walk around the halls and find a table outside. When we arrived, there was a line out the door. It took around 15 minutes or so to get our pizzas. This pizza was great, edges were crispy, cheese was amazing and their sauce was sweet and garlicky. I would definitely recommend this pizza if you're wandering around the city. read more

We kind of stumbled upon this place while walking around Rockefeller Center. What a find!! The Greek salad was phenomenal and Allie Mae suggested an off menu pizza, the Spicy Boy with vodka sauce. It was REALLY GOOD and the prices were very reasonable!! I'm usually not a thick crust pizza person, but it was crispy on the outside and airy on the inside. The food was great, but the star of the show was the service. Allie Mae was so helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, these are qualities that are becoming less and less in wait staff, NOT here! Nyc pizza is overrated. Stop in for some real good feel good pizza at Aces. Now this is pizza . Its a fast paced pizza shop so keep those chats to the side and lets keep it moving folks. This will always be my favorite style of pizza. read more
I can't stop thinking about Ace's Pizza! It was my first time trying it while in New York, and it definitely won't be my last. I'm already looking forward to my next trip there. This location is inside Rockefeller Plaza, and there are two dining options available: you can either dine in or get takeout. When we arrived, it wasn't too busy, and we were able to order right away. Your pizza is baked to order and comes out fresh and hot. My husband and I each ordered a personal White Sesame pizza, which was plenty for us since we were on our own personal pizza tour. The pizzas are Detroit-style, and the White Sesame was delicious and unique. The sesame seeds and drizzled honey were excellent accompaniments. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience, as well as the service. I can't wait to come back! If you're in the area, be sure to check them out--you won't regret it! read more

Ace's Pizza is located on the bottom of Rockefeller Plaza. This is Detroit Style and is amazing! We got the Burrata, the Pepperoni, and the Cheeseburger (pictured). They have a take out side of a dine in side so you can pick your option. They cook the pizza on demand so it's hot and fresh, and doesn't take too long! It's amazing. You won't go wrong with Ace's! read more

I work nearby and nothing is better than having pizza here for lunch. While it can get crowded the line goes fast and before you know it you are enjoying one of the best mid town pizza places in this area. Ace's is Detroit style pizza and is delicious. The cheese is top quality and the sauce is the real key to its deliciousness. I ordered a small pepperoni pizza and it's more than enough for one person. They have a tiny stand up eating area and a larger sit down place across the way. Overall you can't go wrong here and for $10.50 a great value for an excellent pizza! read more
Absolutely delicious Detroit Style pizza underneath 30 rock. If you're in the area looking for food before going to see Rockefeller Center or a show at Radio City, it's a great option and the prices are surprisingly not outrageous. We dined at Ace's Pizza for lunch on Jun 24 this year. It had two office spaces. One on the left for dine-in and the other on the right for pick-ups - both were small rooms. We went to the dine-in room, sat at the bar and ordered a medium 9" plain cheese pizza. There were two waitresses on duty, and the one at the bar was multi-tasking taking orders, serving them and ringing checks. Her waiting on us was interrupted repeatedly. My impression of Ace's was gradually souring when our pizza was served within minutes after placing the order. We were surprised as it didn't appear there was sufficient time for the order to be processed. It was the quickest service I had ever seen, quicker than fast food. From the rectangular pie cut into six slices, we took two each and were done in relatively quick time. Then came the check. 18% service fee was added to the order. That's NYC for you. In addition, tips was requested. I gave 3%, which is equivalent to 76 cents. (In hindsight, I should have gone with 0% tip.) Food was alright, served quickly. Service was OK but can be better. If we weren't pressed for time, we would have tried other places in Under 30 Rock. read more
Ace's Pizza is located underneath the Rockefeller Center (in the dining area) which made me slightly skeptical because it's tourist-galore down there BUT it honestly did not disappoint. I got the Supreme Slice (8/10). Lowkey this slice was FIRE. Ace's is Detroit style which means it serves up square slices with thick, crispy crusts. I thought that the middle of the crust was perfectly chewy/bread-y and was almost soft in texture? This paired well with the crispy/cheesy outer edge pieces. The Supreme Slice is a tomato sauce based pizza and is topped with sausage, onions, and green bell peppers. I loved it. I got the "Personal" size and found it to be quite pricy at ~$13 (but that's NYC for ya!) I have heard that this place can be kind of inconsistent. One time my friend went and her slice was rock hard but this time it was very chewy and soft. I also wish that this location of Ace's had more seating, Overall, wouldn't go out of my way to come here but it's def a solid spot if you're craving some pizza in Midtown! read more
Tucked away in the lower level of Rockefeller Center is this dynamite pizza joint, Ace's. Expect a wait due to popularity and each pie being made to order but boy is it worth it. Some of the best pizza I've had. It's messy so be prepare to eat like a farm animal. And if don't have the patience to stand and wait, there's a sit-down dine-in style right next to it. read more

My family and I really enjoyed this pizza joint. It's a hidden gem. Located at the bottom of Rockefella plaza it is definitely hidden. The pizza was amazing and the waitress were extremely helpful and fast with service. We had both ladies catering to us. I forget their names but they both gave us top notch services and kindly took picture of me and family. Back to the food. Amazing. I give it 10 stars read more

We had been to Aces pizza last year and really enjoyed going. We still love the food there! It has limited tables but still has a table open. They have to-go and dine in which we love. But one thing did happen.... When we ordered water we got little to no ice. But the service was amazing and I highly recommend it! read more

Exploring 30 Rockerfeller plaza and stumbled upon delicious deep dish pizza. The edges of the pizza were crisp and cheesy. An authentic New Yorker would not be caught dead in here, good thing I'm not an authentic New Yorker because I would have missed out this great spot. Great place to dip into while shopping or heading to the ice rink. read more
