Needed a quick bite after flying in from California. I had a white slice and my husband had the pepperoni, sausage, onions and peppers. Both slices were hot, fresh and delicious. The guys working were friendly and kind. I hope i get to go back! read more

Roma Pizza - pizza slices - Pizza Near Me - New York, New York

What a great spot for some classic New York slices! Roma isn't just about large portions either--the slices are both big and very flavorful! The service is quick with the staff behind the counter very attentive. They have a large variety of pies available to pick from as well. We got some plain, mushroom, and chicken slices, and they were all outstanding. Prices were fair too. Luckily we were able to snag one of the tables in there too--they have more tables than I expected without feeling crammed which is a great perk. Definitely consider Roma Pizza if you're in the area! read more

We found Roma Pizza by chance prior to our boat tour of Manhattan island. ATMOSPHERE: The counter display will draw you in with its jaw dropping plethora of pizzas with varying crusts, colors, textures and toppings. A few indoor tables are available. RESERVATIONS: None. PARKING: Street or garage. MENU: American, American Italian, pizzas with unconventional toppings. FOOD: Pizza Slice I should've gone more adventurous but I was feeling boring and got a marinara sauce slice with four toppings (pepperoni, beef, green bell peppers and red onions). The crust was phenomenal - right in the middle of deep dish & traditional thickness, chewy, with a slight crunch. SERVICE: Fast and friendly. The majority of the pizzas sold for slices are premade then warmed in the oven so there may be a short wait. OVERALL: Delish. Definitely trying their chicken alfredo pizza next time. read more

It's a great if you wasn't something fast with lots of options! I appreciate the amounts of pizza and different flavors they have! They truly did have something for everyone! I even seen a rigatoni pizza! It's a relatively large slice but for an average of $6 a slice ... I've had better as I needed at least 2 slices to get full. There is seating available and the men worker for a very nice. I love a cold beer with my pizza and unfortunately I didn't see any. The pizza was average overall. Good for a quick lunch. read more

Really quick and tasty spot for NY style pizza in the Theater district. They have the thin and greasy (but actually not super greasy which I liked) type and also thicker kind which I particularly liked a lot with a super crunch crust and flavorful ingredients. Couldn't beat the price either. For two slices and a coke came out to just over $10! A steal for NYC! Service is super fast and efficient and several tables available for quick casual eating, definitely put this place on your list for a quick bite before or after a show. read more

I had a doctor's appointment nearby during lunchtime and asked the office staff for recommendations for lunch. Everyone praised the pizzas here so I had to give it a try. The selection is vast and slices are huge. The staff was friendly and prompt to handle my order. I took a slice of the chicken caesar salad pizza to go and the texture was still crisp a half hour later. It was quite satisfying to enjoy pizza and get greens and lean protein (grilled chicken) the same time. I would go back to repeat my order and explore the rest of the menu. read more

I was in the area and my son and I were starving. Yelp rated this #1 in the area and we were only a few blocks away. A Big Thanks to the YES for on point reviews...They don't lie. It's a small place and it was crowded when we got there. 3:00 and there was still a line. It moved quickly and we were able to find a seat inside. Great New York style pizza! Some unusual choices besides the typical cheese. Chicken, bacon, ranch, buffalo chicken, calamari pizza just a name a few. I had a slice of the Tricolor - a mix of Vodka sauce, tomato sauce and pesto. Cooked well, super crisp. The combination of the sauce was so good. Definitely a solid choice for a quick slice. read more

Looking for a delicious slice of pizza to suit every taste palette? Look no further. If you're in the Hells Kitchen area, this is our go-to location for a slice (or two or more). There is such a wonderful selection of pizza choices for vegetarians and meat lovers. We loved the spinach and mushroom slice as well as the pesto cheese slice. The staff are friendly and the service is speedy! The pizza slices were all delicious and I was so sad that I only went ONCE when we were in town. If you're not craving pizza, they also have other entree options such as salads and pastas! Garlic knots looked delicious as well. Lots of drink choices as well! Find a spot to sit solo or with a large party. Casual and quick, inexpensive and good quality choice. We spend about $12 for two slices! read more

Nah, this ain't it. To be honest it could've potentially been a decent pizza, but first of all they didn't warm it up properly. Our slices were all cold, some didn't even have the cheese melted... They do have a huge variety though. Also, I paid nearly $17 plus tip for two cold slices and a pop, which is just insane, that's almost a price of a whole pie. Even though the slices were kind of pricey, I think they were $4-6 a slice, so they must've charged at least $5 for a can of soda? That's just wrong. Either way, this is a tourist trap. I'd say just go to ang other slice shop. read more

Underbaked, otherwise would have been very good. Very nice hit of garlic and good overall flavor but just a bit doughy. I bet if I went again it would be better. May try and will update this review if I do. A rock solid 3-stars nonetheless. read more

Stopped in here after a Broadway show. It looked crowded but wow, they are super efficient and the line moved quickly. There is not a lot of seating available inside but a lot of people just grab their slices to go, so we were able to sit at a table. There are a lot of (partially cooked) pizzas there; thick crust and thin crust, with a huge variety of sauces and toppings. To be honest, we all just pointed at some slices that looked good. They put them in the oven and they came hot to our table after a few minutes. They were all great! The pizzas were generally $5-6 per slice. Big New York slices. We also got a slice of strawberry chocolate cake. It was good but it wasn't as good as the pizza. That is some good pizza. read more

Roma's is a small place with more types of pizza than one would think are possible. This of course is a nyc thing. Inside is tight. You fit yourself in then ogle the many pizzas on display, point to what you want, they toss it in the oven and you get to enjoy it. Fast and easy service. Staff keeps things moving. It was reasonably priced food and pretty good. I liked my chicken Cesar slice, was disappointed by the sweet chili chicken and enjoyed the bite from my wife's chicken taco pizza. Solid choice for a lunch, dinner, 4am snack stop! Only thing that disappointed me was not spotting a ninja turtle. read more

How can you go to NY and not have a slice of pizza or three. Roma delivered. The store is very clean. The display case was very well maintained and showcased many types of pizza. Of course I had to try the meat lovers. I was not dissapointed. Crust just thick enough to hold the toppings with out too much breading. Generous portions of meat toppings. They popped my slices in the oven and just a few minutes later, awesomeness came out of the oven. Can't forget the pepper flakes and parmesan cheese. I look forward to my next visit. read more

Went on a Saturday afternoon, the place was fairly crowded, ordered the cheese ravioli and a small cheese pie. The ravioli was great, the pizza is brick oven style, so was a little crispy but tasty. The menu had many options and I'm guessing from the crowd it must be a decent place, will stop again if in the area. read more

Solid pizza joint in middle of theater district. Traditional NY style. Quick in for a slice and off to a show.

We were in a rush and we were out in five minutes. We got a buffalo chicken, margarita, white, and chicken Alfredo. Cost about $20-$25 and was served hot. But once the pizza got cold, obviously wasn't as good. There's something to say about hot warmed up pizza that makes it much more delicious. The white was OK, but as soon as it got cold, it was kind of disgusting. The margarita one of the better slices I'd recommend. The buffalo chicken was the worst it was, but didn't compete with the others. Finally, the chicken Alfredo is a very interesting slice. It's very deep and almost feels more like a pie. It was tasty, but it's not a must. read more

This pizza shop is great! They offer different slices of pizza that are delicious and fun. I ordered the Tri colored rainbow pizza with vodka sauce, margherita sauce, and pesto sauce and it was delicious with a different flavor in each bite! The crust is thin but the toppings are what makes it. My husband ordered plain pepperoni and it was so good! Who would think plain pepperoni would be so good?! My mom ordered the chicken pasta pizza and loved it but it is heavy so you likely won't be able to eat much after eating a slice of that. Service was good. We would all recommend! read more

I was in NYC for a marathon race and wanted some carbs in preparation for my race and came across this place after leaving The MJ Musical Broadway Show. I was so happy I found this place because the food was absolutely amazing and my lady and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the baked ziti and she had a slice of Pepperoni pizza and some wings and we loved our food. I order a slice of strawberry cake to go and loved that too! I highly recommend me place with no reservations and if you're looking for something good to eat before or after you catch one of the nearby broadway shows this is a great place to go eat! There are tons of Roma Pizza restaurants all over New York! The one on 6th avenue has high remarks. This is the one on 8th Avenue! It used to be the classic goey Italian cheese pizza with a delicious crust. Having lived in nyc for 20 years! This isn't the classic New York pizza. In fact, despite heating it, the pizza was somewhat cold, the crust was not tasty and the cheese was not the classic delicious Italian pizza. The service was good, I got it to go. Even though they gave me Parmesan packets. That also tasted stale! Huge disappointment but this is NOT the classic New York pizza. Ambiance is classic franchise. Back in the day, these were run by old school Italians. This isn't the case anymore. Such a bummer! If you are looking for a classic New York Italian pizza, look up Lombardi's Italian pizza in the village, worth the wait. read more

I don't get to come to NY very often so I have some favorites that I almost always visit. This trip I stayed in a different hotel and found my self in need of some good Pizza. I walked by Roma and everything looked super appetizing. The selection is huge, the staff was friendly, and the service is quick. The best part is that the pizza absolutely rocks. Great flavor and the crust has just the right amount of crunch. If you are in the area you need to get in here! read more

I was p**#?d'cuz I lost my gloves in the Imperial Theatre for Smash. Gnashing my teeth at the cold weather as I made my way back to our hotel on 53rd and 7th we come across this pizza joint. Hey, looks pretty good from street side besides, I have to defrost my hands. My wife chose the vegetarian and I had a pepperoni and jalapeño, and pepperoni and sausage slice. Nice sized slices, tasty pizza, pretty friendly service and above all else, the box warmed my frozen hands on the way back to the hotel. Haha! Can you tell I feel much better? read more

Best pizza spot in the area hands down! Friendly staff and free sauce on the side. You won't wait long either!

Really good vodka pizza and garlic knots! Something about the dough! Can't beat the price either!

Cheese is bad quality, crust is not crunchy and sauce is bland. They need to use higher quality ingredients for the prices they charge.

I stayed in a nearby hotel for 12 days and I must have ate here at least 5x. The pizza is classic New York pizza, the big pieces that you fold to eat. The basic cheese pizza was probably the best. The meat pizza was on the salty side and so was the olive pizza. The chicken pizza was okay but chicken tends to dry out when baked. The mushroom pizza was also good. But what I really liked was their pasta which I got to go on two occasions. The olive oil and garlic pasta was delicious. I got it with spaghetti. It came with big slices of garlic and Parmesan cheese. They include fresh bread and butter though I didn't eat the bread either time. Also got their meatballs and spaghetti which was good. 3 decent size meatballs cut in half with ample marinara sauce. Also tried their small Caesar salad. It was big for a "small" so a bit too much for one person. It would be ideal for two people to share. Also got their garlic knots which are good right from the oven. They give marinara sauce to dip them into. Service was adequate. Not all of the workers seemed to speak English that well and were in the process of learning. Ambiance is adequate. It is a small space with tables that are close to the next. They do have a bathroom available for customers. I would obviously return when in NYC again. read more
