The repair ended up costing about 2x what they originally said which ... hey that happens. The quoted it sight unseen, then looked at it and decided it was bigger than they expected. They put this junk in, plug it and then you cut the plugs flat after a few days. Repair at 6 months is holding. The other people that looked at it were thousands if dollars so I thought I'd try this...glad I did. I only have before pics Prompt and repair that worked.

Dave from the Crack Team, he was my 4th, and final estimate I got. #1 said they'd fill the crack and put a vapor barrier over it for $975 #2 said that although my walls were plumb, and showed no sign of other distress, I would need 5 carbon wall ties, @ $500/each, and fill the crack, with a 10% cash discount for $3868 #3 said they would fill the crack & rod holes w/ epoxy for $500 #4 gave me an estimate of $1050 to fill the crack and rod holes with urethane and then reinforce the job with carbon concrete staples - with a lifetime transferable warranty! After doing my research online, I came to the decision that urethane is better than epoxy, for my purposes, and that I don't need 5 carbon wall ties. Dave with the Crack Team won my bid because of the reinforcement, use of urethane, and the warranty. His work was fine, as was he. The only negatives I can give is that he didn't prep me on how messy of a job this was going to be. At one point I went down in the basement to check and see if he would like something to drink, and my whole basement was filled with concrete dust. If I had been prepped on the mess, I would've shut off the furnace, shut the door to the room he was working in, and cover a bunch of things in the room he was working in, to make clean up way easier on me. He wrote me up for a bill of $1070, because he filled 1 more rod hole than quoted ($20/rod hole). All in all, I recommend the Crack Team.

I have had to take care of needed repairs that came to my attention. I had Keith come out in August of 2024 and repaired 3 tie rod leaks. He did a great job. In May of this year I had to have more work done that I wasn't aware of because the leaks only occurred during really heavy rains. This time Dean came out and did a great job. 22 tie rod leaks and 2 cracks were repaired. Dean also gave me recommendations on companies to call for the remaining leak that Dean's company can't handle. Honesty, dependability and quality workmanship are qualities I look for when doing business with companies. Mr. Sponge has met my expectations in those regards. I was first introduced to the company in 2018 when I inquired with them about the sealing of foundation cracks in the basement of a property I owned at the time. I submitted an online request for consultation and within hours I received a response from the owner, Sherrill Dean Teaster. Although my problem did not require Mr. Teaster's services, I was very appreciative of the time he took to provide an informative, detailed explanation of how my problem came about and the steps I could take personally to bring about its resolve. Mr. Teaster's empathy and honesty were admirable and left an everlasting impression on me, which is why I sought his services just recently. I observed Mr. Teaster as he completed my service repair and it is apparent that he is a master of his craft as he performed with the level of care, accuracy and thoroughness you'd expect from a skilled professional. My customer experience with Mr. Sponge has been gratifying and I expect the results of their work to be just as pleasing.

Well, when the rains came we discovered water running to our sump from a spot in the wall. When I pulled back the insulation covering I discovered a 1/4" crack from top to bottom and the water was leaking in at a steady rate. I searched for a company that was close and had good reviews. Called and left message with another company but never received a return call until 2 weeks later. I also called Basement Cracks & Leaks and received a call back to schedule an inspection within 3 days. They actually called back in a few hours and moved up our appt. After seeing the crack and inspecting the outside of the house they provided an estimate to permanently seal the crack. We scheduled the repair. The person was very knowledgeable about concrete cracks and informed us it was not something more serious that would require major repair. He explained how he would repair the crack, what materials he would use, and left us an estimate sheet with the warranty information. It has been a few weeks since the repair and we have had snow melt and rain but our basement is dry. There is NO water leaking in now. This is a great company. They are responsive and prompt. If we have another problem with leaking water I will definitely call them.

I sent the money within 10 days after the closing. They refused to transfer the warranty. It's like they want to avoid transferring the warranty. If they are sure of their work, they wouldn't do that. Most companies transfer their warranties for free. I would never use such company.

My wife and I are left jealous of the other reviews about this company. Their commercials will…read moreadvertise as they are one company: this is simply false. The waterproofing and finishing sides are completely separate from one another and do not communicate. We found this out the hard way after booking them for our projects. We received the opposite treatment, temperament, and professionalism from the same people referenced on other reviews (Dan the Project Coordinator mainly). The lack of communication between ourselves and the company/workers as well as between the waterproofing and finishing sides was lacklaster and, most times, non-existent. While Basements plus will acknowledge and apologize for the "experiences" we had, the "experience" will never be something they take financial ownership for... and we have proof of that. Most of our issues lie with the process involved, the lack of accountability from the people involved, and the company's lack of accountability for the burdens my wife and I ended up with to keep things moving. Our bi-level house flooded multiple times in our downstairs. Prior to Basements Plus waterproofing, a plumber put in an emergency storm drain that fed into our sum pump. This was relayed to Basements Plus and was clearly attached to the sum pump that was being replaced. After waterproofing was "completed", the emergency storm drain was never tied back into the new sum pump and our downstairs flooded again. They had to come back out and fix their error with the sum pump. No all, but our main issues (we have so much more, please ask us): -You will get an App that is meant to provide you a daily schedule so you know what work is being supposed to be done when and who will be at the house. This schedule will NOT be updated automatically and will be useless quickly. The ONLY way we got this updated was repeatedly asking. -Due to the bi-level home, we asked for a door to be put at the bottom of the stairs. It took SIX WEEKS for the project coordinator to put one in. HIS original suggestion was for a zipper door. When asked the next week about a zipper door, Dan was confused on what that was. We ended up with a magnet door that was installed in the wrong place, had to be moved by me, and did not function as well as hoped. -When going through the process of picking out cabinets, countertops, and accessories in the showroom, we were not presented prices for the options. -We had multiple occasions where the waterproofing and finishing would overlap. Neither side knew what the other was doing and would interfere with themselves. In one instance, we were called that materials would be dropped off the next day; the truck backed into our driveway with materials 1 minute later. -We had power knocked out to multiple rooms upstairs one day. Workers took 0 accountability until forced to. -Beware! This company does NOT prime and paint before laying flooring down. This was confirmed by multiple workers. Due to this, our flooring had white trim paint soak through the tape that was on it for 2 months. Almost every 4 inches of the floor against a wall is dulled in color now. -This company also does not grout tile in the bathroom. That is on you if you want it. -We asked for a new project Coordinator and, instead, just got a middle-man between us and the Coordinator. -Company threw away brackets for blinds, ceiling fans, and barn doors and all had to be replaced. -When Project Coordinator went out of town, we had no work done at our house. Company confirmed this is not how it is supposed to be, but that's exactly how it worked for us. At the end, we told Basements Plus we were done and we would take care of the rest ourselves. We coordinated FAR too much of this ourselves and were exhausted with the lack of communication and accountability. We asked for compensation back for all of the errors and work that became ours. Their "good faith" offer was 2% of our total paid (which didn't include plumbing costs) and would have to sign an NDA. We would never accept that offer and have so much more to say!

He wants to try to send a letter saying oh it's coming through cracks in the basement when it's clearly coming from his dry track system that failed in about 15 different spots. This is very ridiculous. I would steer clear this company. Do not waste your money. Do not waste your time. Stay far far away from this company check out all their other names they have numerous different names under their self then they want to say it's coming through the cracks in the floor when you can clearly see where their track system failed a numerous spots. It's a bunch of horseshit they don't answer phone calls. They'll leave you hanging dry and they'll cost you thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars in repairs.

It looks like US Waterproofing (USW) is a big player in IL & IN.... I had a huge crack in my basement wall that leaked bad enough that sand started pooling at the base of the crack. I had 6 estimates from $750 - $32,000, which ranged from just filling the crack all the way to interior & exterior foundation drains. USW was a mid quote, but the most bang for your buck and they offered a military, teacher, or first responder discount. With USW I got the crack filled/repaired, an interior floor drain dug from the crack to my sump pump (complete with a 90 mil wall liner), and a new battery back up sump pump installed. Their quote was reasonable, but installation of a new sump pump was the kicker for me and why I went with USW. They got me on the books the next week and took about 5 hours to the complete the job. What they got right: 1. They wrote into my quote that all exposed carpet from the entry of the house to the job would be covered. And they did an excellent job of this. 2. The team that was sent over was professional, friendly and let me watch and ask questions throughout the whole process. 3. Although they put up plastic walls around the work area, they warn you the process can stir up lots of concrete dust that will get everywhere. 4. My salesperson kept an open communication with me via text throughout, and after, the whole process. What they got wrong: 1. The exhausting sales binder they are required to go through with you. It's a 4 inch binder! 2. Although the binder is HUGE, they don't represent the final product transparently enough. I was quoted an access port to clean out the drain, but it stuck up 2 inches out of the floor, and they location they chose for it would've messed up my laundry set up, so I had them remove it (they need a flush access port option!). Another example is they did not have a great picture of what the wall liner looks like, nor did they have a physical example on hand. The salespeople should carry an example of the wall liner with them. 3. The 'crew boss' shows up and just walks right into my house and down to the basement, without announcing or introducing himself. I did not appreciate this, whatsoever. #2 & 3 of what they got wrong is why I took off a star, all in all, I'm pleased with the final product and what I paid for it.
