I am reposting this review as I found my original was no longer present, and I found a new reason to be pissed at this company. If I could go back in time and undo signing a contract with them I would. The salesman in their office was pushy with less than scrupulous methods asking for money upfront to procure materials. I was told that the crew would be licensed and/or journeymen. They were not. I am still paying to fix the number of issues caused by the contractors: electrical, plumbing, HVAC. The wiring of the lights re-routing my outdoor lamppost so it is permanently on. The fan motor in my bathroom died, which is wired to the same circuit as my kitchen. This is a result of one of the guys during the demo hacking at wire in the wall although the power was not off. I know my house wiring was weird before but all of things happened during and after the job was complete. Plumbing The undermount sink is delaminating from quartz countertop... I am finding this today. years. The guys poorly wired things in such a way that the motor on my furnace in the middle. I have since had to replace the entire furnace... It was a nightmare. WHEN are your people going to finish the work they started in our kitchen? We've been without a kitchen, and a garage, since the last week in October. It is December 10th. We've had workers here sporadically about twice a week in this entire time frame. Someone was expected today, and I'd like to say it was a surprise but of course no one showed up. Much like October 31st our start date, when no one showed up all day, we phoned the workers who said they were called back to their previous job (no surprise) and Steve later said " oh yeah, I was on vacation, but someone should've told you that no one would be there ". I wonder who that someone is STEVE?! Thursday December 5th was the last time anyone showed up to do anything, And that was late in the afternoon because apparently they had already started a new project that took precedence over finishing ours. Everyone has been texted the list of what needs to be finished. The grouting on the backsplash is not finished, the outlet near the refrigerator has broken wires that need repairing so our disposal will work, there is still glass in the driveway from when they broke our stove, the wall with the brackets and quartz countertop still needs drywalling work, there are huge gaps where you can see past the drywall, the dishwasher still doesn't close properly since it was thrown (or as they say "placed" in the dumpster and "rolled 90 degrees) wainscoting was THROWN AWAY instead of set aside, and no floor molding was installed at the bottom of the wall missing the wainscoting, just a huge gap. The heating register doesn't fit into the floor, it's resting on an angle on top of a floor transition. WE STILL HAVE NO PARKING SPACE IN OUR GARAGE. After spending an additional $639 to accommodate some line needed for the garbage disposal, OUR GARBAGE DISPOSAL STILL DOESN'T WORK. My husband has been putting off a work trip, but he absolutely has to leave tomorrow, I am extremely ill with a lung disease, flu and pneumonia, and have zero time or patience left to wait for these items in our unfinished kitchen to be finished. I find it incredibly hard to believe you are still in business, considering the horrendous level of service and lack of communication between members of your "team", let alone the complete radio silence we are given when we call, text, or email anyone from Ace Kitchen and Bath about a problem. read more

If I had read the most recent review, I never would have signed with this company. I had almost the exact experience as the previous reviewer with a few exceptional details. I was told that my project was going to be delayed right from the jump because there was a problem with the crew. The guy let slip that one of the crew had been arrested for a DUI. This company did a full remodel of my kitchen and bathroom. To say it was a disaster from beginning to end would be an understatement. In fact, I documented the entire experience on facebook and titled it "My Reno from Hell".The delivery of materials was delayed by a week because their delivery guy had his feelings hurt by my neighbor. She yelled at him about blocking the entry to the building. He called the owner (you'll hear more about him), who told the guy to just leave instead of calling me so I could deal with the neighbor. Then the start of the project was delayed another week because the crew who was originally supposed to do the work backed out because of allergies. When I got angry about yet another delay, I spoke to the owner, Brandon, saying maybe I should just take my materials and find another company to do the work. Instead of trying to find out if he could do anything to soothe my ruffled feathers, he went directly to lawyers to threaten and intimidate me. He was very rude and condescending over the phone, but when I told him I knew about that DUI I mentioned earlier, he was stunned into silence for several seconds. He wasn't only rude and condescending over the phone, he was to my face as well. Standing in MY kitchen he had the nerve to pull an attitude with me. The crew that did do the work rarely spent a full week on my job because they kept bouncing from job to job, in fact, one guy said I was lucky to have them at my house as frequently as I did. They sent the wrong materials, didn't send other materials and now that they are done, they left me with a leak under my bathroom sink and a damaged cabinet over my toilet that they are refusing to fix. The cracked cabinet I can live with, but not a leaking sink. Now I have the added expense of hiring a plumber to fix something they should have fixed in the first place. Another issue was something that made me very uneasy. One day when the crew was working on my kitchen, they hadn't started any work on the bathroom yet, one of the guys asked to use my bathroom, which is upstairs, as is my bedroom. He was the only human to be on that floor all day other than me. After they left for the day, I found the TV in my bedroom unplugged from the wall. I didn't unplug it and he was the only other person up there that day. Now of course I can't PROVE anything, but after that, I made sure my bedroom door was closed anytime they would be in my house, and it never happened again. The guys on the crew were friendly but took frequent smoke breaks which was frustrating, they never showed up at 9AM which was when they were supposed to show up, and rarely started before 10 o'clock which was also very frustrating. The job could probably have been completed in half the time (8 weeks!!) if they had showed up and started on time and had been allowed to focus on one job at a time instead of "frog-jumping" (their words) from job to job. On top of all that, I feel that they charged me a ridiculous amount of money for the size of the job they did. When I told friends how much money they charged, they were absolutely shocked. In my opinion, the owner and most of the people working for him are very unprofessional. I am a very easygoing person and feel I was exceedingly flexible with this company but that ends now. If I could give zero or negative stars as a review, I would. If you are looking to "Find your ACE", DO NOT look here. Avoid this company at all costs. read more

We contacted ACE to quote on a complete bathroom remodel. Steve came out to review the project and was extremely cordial, professional, knowledgeable and offered many insightful suggestions. We were very impressed with Adam's proposal in terms of thoroughness, detail and price. ACE was amenable to our myriad of changes to the proposal. A showroom visit followed and the ACE team spent a considerable amount of time with us selecting material, fixtures and finishes. Before starting the project they conducted a walk through to identify potential concerns. Dave handled all aspects of the remodel and did a fantastic job consistently going above and beyond. He's a true craftsman and always kept us advised of the project status. Dave's attention to detail and flexibility to honor our many modifications was extraordinary. One of the worst "home improvement" businesses I've seen in my 40 years of home ownership. One star is one more than they deserve. I used to think the rip off contractors on Hall of Shame weren't real. After I hired ACE I know they are out there. Three different crews and they still couldn't get it right. Week and a half job took over a month and I still had to hire someone to correct their screw ups because they failed and I just wanted them off of my property. First day they showed up one of them made a mess in one of our toilets...TWICE during the pandemic! This is the "business" that I would suggest to my worst enemy. Also, a friend who was having work done by ACE reported them to Better Business Bureau. When I hear the word scam I think of ACE! I have their long history of visits to my house on security video along with a mystery guy they sent one day using profanities on the phone in my garage while my grandchildren were there. This company is unprincipled and attempted to manipulate me. I called and made it very clear to Adam I was planning to use materials (tile, flooring, etc) I had already selected. He said it was no problem and scheduled an estimator to come out on 3/25/19. She never showed up or called. On 3/26/19 a different estimator arrived as scheduled. I showed him samples of materials I planned to use. I asked him for measurements so I could buy the right amount of materials. He said he would provide measurements in a report within a few days. ACE KITCHEN BATH & FLOORING is more interested in selling their materials than doing the contractual work as reflected in the excerpted email exchange with the estimator who came out on 3/26/19. Thu, 3/28/19, ACE estimator: "I did receive all the copies." Tue, 4/2/19, ACE estimator: "I should have your quote by Friday..." Fri, 4/5/19, ACE estimator: "I have been reviewing this with my insurance specialist and we are wondering if you could come to our showroom and meet with him. We have 5 cabinet lines,all counter tops, tile and flooring that we could show you. It is difficult to put a quote together without having all the paperwork from insurance." Fri, 4/5/19, Me: "I have been waiting for the report you promised to send me via email. It's been more than a week since you were here on 3/26. Now, you're telling me you cannot provide the estimate you promised. This is the first time you've ever mentioned an insurance specialist. I made it very clear to you that I have already selected my tile, flooring and countertop. I have also looked at a couple of cabinets but was willing to look at yours for comparison. We can buy our cabinets elsewhere if you are stating the estimate is contingent upon buying a cabinet from your showroom. At this time I need to know if your company is interested in doing the work for our current project and various additional projects or if you want to sell tile and cabinets." Fri, 4/5/19, ACE estimator: "I am sorry for the time lag but Adam was on vacation and I needed him to review the quote before I sent it. He suggested the appointment to clarify. My intent was not to force you to buy materials from us. Adam is also our in house designer and is always very helpful in choices. If this quote meets your requirement it would require an appointment with us here. We can also be very helpful in saving you some money." Fri, 4/5/19, Me: "Other than looking at items in your showroom why would we need to come into your office?" Sat, 4/6/19, ACE estimator: "I am not sure why you would not want to come down to our showroom but the final contract and work order would need to be reviewed by Adam and you face to face and that would be at our office." Tue, 4/16/19, ACE estimator: "I am just checking to see if we are in the running for your bathroom project." Tue, 4/16/19, Me: "We don't want to drive to Trenton so that's the main deal breaker." Thu, 4/18/19, ACE estimator: "WOW That is a new one for me. Most people come to see if we can save them money on materials. Good luck" Adam could have saved my time and Steve's time and gas by being honest in the first conversation. Ace did a kitchen remodel that was supposed to take two days to a week, but ended up taking five weeks. When the dishwasher was installed incorrectly, it gushed water into the basement. I couldn't contact Ace or the crew installing it. They took two weeks working on an electrical plug, when the problem ended up being a bad switch. When the remodel proposal was first presented to me, it did not specify the size of the appliances to purchase. The dishwasher (standard size) was too big. They provided the kitchen sink, but did not say what kind of faucet to buy. Of course it was the wrong kind. There were two gouges on the floor. A mess was left with sawdust, etc on the driveway. There was no communication. Whenever I called the salesman, I rarely received a return call. No one from Ace ever came to inspect the job. read more

I previously gave them 5 stars for my kitchen remodel which is why when I was ready to do my bathroom I didn't even think twice about hiring them. This experience was very different. Adam, the sales guys was amazing as always, but that's where it ended. 2 week delay on the start date of my job, absolutely zero follow up on delays and god forbid anyone answer an email over there. Promises were made time and time again but this team never delivers. They talk a good game but when it comes down to it, they just can't deliver. As a mater of fact I sent an email last week because when toilet they installed is unstable and they never cut the bolts and capped it off to finish the project. I have given this company 3 opportunities to get my business and even maintain. To date, it has been pure frustration. I used Home Advisor and ACE Services was referred to me. One of the staffers drove out to my house, took measurements, engaged me in simple conversation. He told me that I would receive an estimate within the week. Well, I am still waiting. I called them and told them that they failed to email me this estimate. I was told that one employee was on vacation and they were short staffed. "I can live with that explanation," I thought. So, I give them a chance, and this time, drive out to their physical location. I was pleased with the showroom, though very small, but the prices were more than reasonable. I sit down with an employee going over my needs while he works on a CAD image. When finished, I am feeling comfortable. He tells me he will email me the image and estimate. Well, I am still waiting. At least 4 weeks go by and I still do not hear back. By now, I am going to other tile places looking for options and pricing. I realize that ACE Services has better pricing. I go back to their store. Wait for 45 minutes because they are clearly understaffed. I finally get the tile I want ordered and promised that I would here back in the week. Yep, you know what is coming, "I am still waiting" for that call. I instead call them and find out that my tile will be arriving later than anticipated. Two weeks after my order, it arrives. They tell me I can come and pick up my tile. I do just that and find out that the marble was broken and returned and that when it arrives back, I can then drive the 50 minutes again to pick it up. As I examine my order, I notice another marble tile is chipped. They were willing to send me home with it, but I objected. The good news is that they called me to inform me that I could pick up the remaining two marble tiles. I go to pick them up on Halloween, and guess what, no one is there. They decided to close shop early. I call the emergency contact number and get a voicemail. I am furious as I am driving back home (50 minutes). I get a call from ACE Services as I am half way home. They apologize and state that they could drive out the two pieces. Guess what, "I am still waiting." This company is terrible. They are a "ma and pa" business that is understaffed and ill equipped to meet any major sized project. They are genuinely nice guys but do not waste your time if you have tight timelines or expect good customer service. The prices are why they get 1 STAR from me. Avoid at all costs. read more

Beware In April 2019 we hired Ace to remodel our 12x20 kitchen. Demo started April 29th, so from this point on we do not have a functional kitchen.we are eating out or bbq ing every meal. Numerous workmanship problems arose while putting our kitchen back together, I.E. walls not prepped before hanging the cabinets, cabinets not square to each other,cabinets not level, counter-top cut wrong ( no template made) and mounted crooked, gaps in flooring, mix of paint finishes (ceiling part painted in flat paint, part semi-gloss), No primer paint was used anywhere. By June we are 5 weeks into a project we were quoted would take 4 weeks. We called Ace at least 3 times to talk to the owner Brandon about the project. Finally a meeting @ the job site was set up for 6-10 with Brandon and Adam. Brandon was a no show. Adam did show and saw how bad the job site was and pulled the original crew off the job. We were finally given a crew with a leader that cared, but Will's time was dictated by management as he had other jobs in progress, so we were seeing workers maybe once a week. After numerous calls to the office and Adam we were finally given a functional but not complete kitchen on July 5th. Wooo Whoo . 9 plus weeks into the project. But once again the project stalled. Now we are receiving calls from the Ace office trying to collect the final payment for a job that is not finished. this is one example of the lack of communication. Finally fed up I called Adam on 8-15-19 and told him Ace had till 8-17-19 @ 1p.m. to complete the job or release us from our contract so we may use the money owed to Ace to hire someone else to complete the job. They finished the job on 8-16-19. Just shy of 16 weeks on a project quoted as 4 weeks. This is the condensed version of our Ace experience. So after reading this if you decide to use Ace we hope you have a better experience than we did. BELOW ARE THE FACTS The job was NOT completed as written in the contract The job was NOT completed to customers satisfaction The job was NOT completed in a timely manner (not due to part shortage) NO SHOW NO CALL MISSED APPOINTMENTS MIN. 6 TIMES Total lack of communication between Management and Workers Management I.E. Brandon(owner) & Adam(v.p.) Never once called us or visited the job site on their own to check on the job, or resolve any problems. Both Brandon (owner) and Adam(V.P.) Have been invited numerous times times to the job site. They show no interest in the quality of work or the satisfaction of the customer. read more

Absolutely terrible! I can't express how bad they did. My wife took off for the job to make sure everything was ok and they asked her for everything they did. She couldn't get a single thing else done by themselves. They flooded my kitchen ceiling after a simple plumbing install. I asked them to redo a bathroom but they couldn't do that.
