I needed a piece of wood cut to 26", they sent me to the service counter, (which is in the back of the store...most inconvenient for those of us who have difficulty walking), and after waiting 10 minutes to be helped, a very kind young man told me that they don't provide that service. At a hardware store? The employees are friendly and capable, but it's no longer the same place it was in the past. I miss the old Dunn Hardware store.

Manager gave us an isle. , sure enough you had 2 or 3 different sets of taps. I went up to ring it out and the same Store manager was there. I told him he should inform his employees to not say you don't have something until they check. The manager said not to tell him what to tell his employees. I said I was just trying to help. He said I think your just being rude. I then said this store must be employee always right customer always wrong. He then said that is what I was talking about you are being rude. The guys running this place might look grumpy, but don't let that fool you... they know where everything is, and that's all that matters. It's old-school, run by men who've been doing this forever and actually care. One time my car broke down, and the owner had one of his guys drive me all the way home. They have just about everything the big stores have, but in a more compacted, easier to find fashion. Every month they have their special buys which can end up quite the steal, like a broom and dustpan for $3 or a pair of sawhorses for $20. Another big positive is the aisle of various screws, nuts, and bolts. Unlike many store where you have to buy a big box of nuts, I was able to buy only two replacement nuts for my weedwacker. This is a great hardware store, and will continue to be the one I frequent the most.

I tend to get in early to check out the good clearance sections before the Seniors hit them up . i was a little disappointed the time on yelp was not correct. So i was an hour behind those dang seniors.But all in all i got everything i needed. This store just continues to amaze me with all the goodies and awesome coupons.
