Save yourself the time and hassle of researching and visiting dozens of stores and workshops. Upon meeting Gene and Kim we immediately felt their passion and knew they were masters of their craft. They took the time to explain the process they take in constructing their one of kind pieces and took us for a tour around their workshop so that we understood the available options. Once we made the decision to move forward in purchasing our live edge dining room table and matching bench they were an absolutely dream to work with. They were extremely responsive in answering our emails and provided us the opportunity to come in for a few visits to see the progress and pick paint colors for the legs, stain and slabs of wood! The table is an absolute showstopper in our living room and couldn't be happier with the purchase! To top it off Kim worked with my husband to painted an antique mirror for my birthday present that they gave me when the table was delivered! I can't wait to work with them on future projects in our home!

Unfortunately, my experience was extremely uncomfortable. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was being watched and profiled. I was followed closely around the store and repeatedly told not to touch items, which made it impossible to browse or shop normally. At one point the owner was standing right next to me and speaking in a way that felt more like being scolded than helped. They won't let you look around the shop without following you around and asking you not to touch anything. Oh also they have a million perfume testers which they get mad if you smell them. Literally you cannot smell open samples of perfumes or they scream at you not to touch them. The overall attitude was very hostile and unwelcoming, which was surprising in a neighborhood where most small business owners are warm and appreciative of customers. I left feeling really disappointed because I had intended to give them my business. After mentioning the experience to a few other locals, I learned that others had similar interactions there. I hope the owners reconsider how they treat customers because the environment felt unnecessarily negative and uncomfortable. Ps. Same lady in all the other review pictures ! $25,000... for TWO Christmas Trees?!…read more I don't normally blast a business on social media, but this one... this one deserves it. And honestly, I need to vent before my head explodes like an overinflated ornament. As many of you know, my wife and I recently moved into a big, beautiful new home. So, wanting to do something special for her first Christmas in it, I decided to surprise her by having the inside professionally decorated for the holidays. The plan was simple: we'd walk up to the front door after our Thanksgiving cruise, she'd see a single elegant wreath, open the door, and BAM--Christmas magic. Hallmark-movie level brilliance. Something she'd remember forever. Well... she'll remember it. Not in a good way. I found a company online called Black Eyed Susan in Doylestown. I spoke with Susan herself -- and in hindsight, the red flags were waving like a parade. But I ignored them, gave her a $25,000 budget, sent photos of the house, arranged access while we were away, and paid a deposit. Fast-forward to the big reveal. We pull up to the house, and instead of holiday wonder... We're greeted by two massive flower pots tipped over on the front steps. Dirt everywhere. My wife is already annoyed. We spend 10 minutes trying to lift the things before realizing the bottoms are ROUND. Not flat. ROUND. Who even designs pots that way? The answer: someone selling overpriced junk. But hey, maybe the inside would redeem things... right? Spoiler alert: it didn't. We open the door expecting Christmas brilliance, and instead--we get... A Christmas tree in the foyer. Just one. And not even a remarkable one. Literally just... a tree. And some droopy, wilted green garland that looked like it had fought a battle with a weed whacker and lost. That's it. For the whole entryway. We turn the corner into the family room, and there's another Christmas tree -- this one comically oversized, like it was trying to escape from a shopping mall. A few random glass balls dangled from the upstairs walkway. Four windows got lonely ornaments. And the mantle -- which on Susan's website looks glamorous and luxurious -- had the saddest strand of wilted garland you've ever seen. I've seen more impressive greenery at Home Depot in JULY. So for $25,000, what did we actually get? Two Christmas trees and some wilted greenery. That's it. That's the whole list. After a few days of trying to reason with Susan the Snob -- who, by the way, speaks to customers like she's hand-selecting decor for the Queen of England -- I realized something: My wife was supposed to get a Hallmark Christmas. Instead, I accidentally hired the villain of the movie. I even tried to be MORE than fair. I told her she could take everything back and keep $10,000 just for her "time." But nope. Susan the Snob decided she wants ANOTHER $5,000 from me. $5,000. For... what exactly? The dirt on my porch? Feel free to tell her what you think of that idea. And finally -- if anyone wants two giant, overbearing Christmas trees for next year... come get them. Free of charge. Because we will NEVER be using them again.

My family and I were patient with your company for months listening to and believing all the excuses you gave for not showing up to start on our home. It makes sense why you would not take us up on providing any sort of payment up front. It's obvious now you were never going to do the job you frequently told us you were going to do in the first place. Before you respond with another excuse, let's go through all the previous excuses for not showing up you gave me & my family: 6/3-pain from a root canal procedure 6/20-didn't have paint samples available to show us 6/24-your uncle passed away (condolences) 7/5-claim of locked in on a couple of projects which delayed the start date of our home. THIS IS WHEN I STOPPED BELIEVING ANYTHING YOU SAID, BUT I PLAYED ALONG 7/6-you claimed you would start on our home on 7/23 7/21-you changed the start date to 7/29 due to rain 7/29-you said you were coming to start power wash the exterior. You never showed up. You claim it was because of kidney stones flaring up. 7/30-you came, walked around, & left. You never let us know you came. We saw you through our ring camera. We received a text later this day explaining you would need to scrape the exterior starting on 8/1. 8/1-you never showed up. 8/4- we spoke on the phone and you told me you were definitely going to start on our home on 8/12. 8/12-you never showed up. Once again... 8/13-you claim you car broke down and would start on 8/19. This is when you offered to cancel the contract. I said no let's keep the contract when I knew you were trying to back out. 8/19-again, no show... 8/20-you claimed two of your guys quit on you. You stated you could start a week later& once again you offered to cancel the contract. I answered no and would wait for you to start on our home. 8/31- you said you would start this week. Take a guess......you didn't show up 9/17- I asked you are you going to blowing us off again. You said no but you can't find anyone to help you & you don't have a ladder. I haven't heard from you since. I sent a couple of texts which you never responded to. Your company popped up on my Facebook feed today showing the work you completed around the same time you were giving me all these excuses you couldn't honor our contract so I felt compelled to air my frustrations with your company.

I spoke with Kelly this morning regarding the unacceptable condition our pool and hot tub were left in after paying $175/hr. (charged for 1.5 hours) for the cleaning service. My husband and I understand that there is going to be debris that settles; however, what we found upon returning home and viewing the pool goes beyond that. Kelly was not willing to accept that fact and unwilling to have someone come back out and redo the pool cleaning at no charge. At $175/hr. and the owner of the company, I expect more. "We do nothing for free" is exactly what she said to me after I snapped at her for not being willing to listen to how bad our pool and hot tub looked upon what the techs considered a "completed" job. Attached is a picture of what the hot tub looked like post cleaning. Pool was no better! If this is what the company views as acceptable, it leaves a lot to be desired. They were left filthy! Unfortunately, we will no longer be utilizing any service or products offered by Mt. Lake Pool. Based upon previous reviews, I see that I am not the only one in the same boat!
