Everyone at this store has always been friendly and helpful. They greet you when you come in and ask if you need assistance finding items. They have a decent selection for a small hardware store. This hardware store is one of Fishers Hardware's four locations. Even though I usually go to their Huntingdon Valley store, they were more than willing to accept the discount coupon I received from their Huntingdon Valley location. The customer service is great and they will honor my Ace Rewards coupon with no problem, unlike competitors who only honor their rewards coupons at 1 store. read more

Up until now I would have said 4-5 stars. Nearly 4 weeks ago I dropped off and paid in advance to have 4 screens replaced. First mistake the cashier told me it would take 2 weeks. At 3 weeks I started dropping in every few days. 5 different people gave me the same song and dance that I was either next in line or the girl is working on them as we speak and I should get a call that same day. So far no calls. I then actually read my receipt and the fine print says 6-8 weeks. Really?? I would never knowingly agreed to waiting that long. Rest of the store is awesome. Just don't drop anything off for repair. read more

We bought a Weber grill here. They are going to deliver and assemble it for us. The staff was attentive and helpful. This was a good shopping experience. The paint manager at Fishers in Plumsteadville ,PA shouldn't be allowed around people. He's VERY rude and unhelpful. I purchased paint there and found that it didn't match paint that I'd bought at a different hardware store( same brand of paint)I just wanted to see if I could fix it and figure out why it didn't match- I wasn't pointing fingers- it could've been my fault. The manager immediately copped an attitude and said it wasn't his fault without even looking at it. He got mad, walked away and told an associate to handle it. She did a great job figuring it out and fixing it. He's not qualified to manage a lemonade stand. read more

Cashiers and manager are wonderful only reason I'll leave 2 stars. But who ever Jack is that is able to fill a propane tank is unbelievably rude and grouchy. You work in service act like it. I shop here all the time but you need to do something about Jack. Sadly I'll probably shop elsewhere. Jack will just tell you your tank is expired and walk away from you. Miserable person and no need for poor attitude. We all have bad days but don't be a jerk. read more

Fishers is one of the best organized hardware stores I have seen. For the past 15 years Fishers has been my go-to place for all the miscellaneous hardware I have needed to maintain my old house - tools, plumbing, paint, electrical, lawn & garden, etc. They have a full aisle dedicated to every type of nut, bolt, screw, washer, bushing, pin, clevis, and odd fastener you can think of, all neatly organized and everything easy to find. If you can't find something, there are usually half a dozen clerks who can help you. Overall this is a well-managed store and the folks here take pride in what they do. The only drawback I can think of is that the rental operation does not always have the newest or best equipment, but that does not prevent me from shopping here. read more

I have only lived in the are for a few years and Fisher's Ace Hardware is the perfect example of a great, local hardware store. Jim, if no one asked if you needed help you were either hiding or are invisible!! I'm asked "every time" I go there, "can I help you with anything?" They have bailed me out on items that I know HD or Lowes will not have. Amy, the aisles are narrow because it's not a warehouse. Are the aisles to small or are you... Keep up the good work Fisher's. Have been in this store on many occasions. Have always found the staff to be very nice and helpful. They have a very good selection of items and the pricing is quite competitive with the large home improvement stores. I would certainly recommend Fisher's to anyone from the area. read more

this is a great store. the staff will help you, answer your questions, etc. they do not pester you so you can shop at your leisure and ask if you need help. they also have a rewards card which gets you coupons if you sign up. enjoy the small store atmosphere. read more
