Always top-notch service here and you don't have to go looking for someone to help you. Almost as soon as you walk in, there's someone who asks if you need help finding anything. They have bolts, nuts, screws, mollies, gaskets, O-rings and all sorts of hardware, some which the big box stores don't even carry. And you can buy your needed quantity without having to buy a box of 50-100. Came by yesterday to return an item which didn't fit and asked for help with a screen door. Was given a good referral, given they didn't provide the service there. The very impressive young man then showed me to exactly the brand of concrete crack filler thatI was asking for, which a professional at work suggested that I purchase. I've been shopping here for years and find that they have what I need most if the time. They even carry an impressive selection of Yeti products, a good garden section, a decent camping section, Egg-brand bbqs and a huge selection of bbq rubs and sauces. Their price came to around $600, which was a huge relief. I must say, this place is incredible, especially when it comes to customer service. I first arrived w just photographs of my stand & how the screws weren't able to reach the tree; Caleb helped me & I purchased 3 thicker & longer screws but he was concerned about the diameter. I went home, & they wouldn't fit into the stand. So I returned briskly, & this time I had tangible evidence of the screw that wouldn't reach the tree as I figured it wouldn't make a difference if I pulled it out. He immediately found a screw that was much longer & the same diameter! I bought 4 to make sure I could achieve complete stability over this tree. Job well done! Much cheaper than having to buy a new stand, & my mom suggested I go to ace hardware bc versus bigger hardware stores, the customer service is more accessible. Definitely true! Customer service BAD! I came in yesterday 2/9/2026 around 2:30, going to buy Benjamin Moore paint. One guy with red vest, dark hair, approached me stating if he can help so i said sure i needed to buy few gallons of paint, Benjamin moore, and i gave him the color pattern and he said ok, i will check for you if we have these. And asking me matte or eggshell finish and he pointed me to go on the other side so to have an idea, then he left. About 5 mins or so i would like to address that Eggshell will be my reference, so i waited, another guy approached me if i needed help and i said the other guy employee already helping me and i didn't know where he went. About 15 mins later, i went to the counter again and same employee young adult red vest, tall, messy blonde hair approached me again, and i said do you know where your other employee went? Cause he gas my color pattern, and then he said to me " HOW sHOULD i know, he doesn't work for me!", And i told him im not saying he if he works for you im asking if you know where he is. And gave me a funny look. Dude! If you are having a bad day, don't let your customer have it! You are a customer too! And i left!!!not coming back to that hardware .. Need to hire ADULTS! read more

A friend bought a kitchen faucet a few weeks ago and it started leaking. He tried to return the faucet and the manager told him that faucets need to be replaced every few weeks which is not true. The manager sprayed something into the faucet and said it should be fine, it isn't and is still leaking. The cost of the faucet is around $68. The manager was extremely rude and not helpful whatsoever. read more

Sad experience in key cutting department I have been using this place in the past for the key cutting service for my Honda car, however yesterday either the person who cut the key or the key machine had a bad day. Upon receiving the key I saw many tool marks all over it , and had hard time opening the door. Some in store polishing made it work better but took excessive amount of material, as a result it will likely could not last long time. As a result, I am not only lost money for the key cutting (not to mention the cost of the key blank) but having a risk of damaging the car door locks by improperly cut key should part of it breaks. Not sure what happened to the employee who did the a great job cutting my key in the past, but the person who cut my key yesterday definitely needs more training. In my opinion the solution will be: a) cut another key free of charge using the least expensive blank available in the store b) have experienced person cutting me a second key from second blank I have and refund money I spend for the first cut to compensate cost of damaged blank read more

Great store with helpful friendly staff. Today I went into the store desperately searching for an Arctic Air AC unit. Called ahead and the worker said they had a few so I rushed over and bought one. Got it home and stupidly couldn't figure out the cold filter part of it. Thought mine was faulty and didn't have one. Called and said it was faulty and needed a replacement. Turns out I'm just an idiot who didn't know how to work the thing. The worked was very patient with me and the two of us figured it out. Everyone I dealt with was very polite and didn't judge me. Every time I've ever gone in the staff is this way. Highly recommend for all of your hardware and home repair needs. read more

My only car key was broken and really old the buttons were missing. I order two keys from a third party and when to ace to have copies of the key made. Luckily they were able to make copies of the switch key. Everyone is so nice there and have amazing customer service. The man who made copies of my car keys was knowledgeable and informed me of the risks that they cannot program my key and that it may not fit my engine. But honestly, he did a fantastic job. Not all heroes wear capes. Easter Sunday 6:15pm and all major chain hardware stores were already closed. Called Ace and they closed at 6 but told me to knock at the door once I got there. Arrived at 6:30 and needed the bottom toilet flange. Kyle and Glen were super helpful and got the parts (extra in case didn't fit and ok to return the unused ones) and successfully installed it. This is our neighborhood hardware store that we love for its location and (usually) helpful and knowledgeable staff. Today we went in for a unique bolt I was certain they would carry because, despite being a tiny store, they seem to carry everything. Today we were greeted at the front door as usual and asked if we needed help finding anything. I showed him an example of what we needed and he said to check aisle 13 or 14. Well those two aisles have literally thousands of hardware items. My experience in the past is that the employee who asks if they can help is extremely knowledgeable and will walk you directly to the item you're looking for. After scouring the bins for a matching item for far too long, we left empty handed. While we were there we overheard several others who were unable to locate what they were looking for leave without making a purchase too. I will shop at this Ace again, in the hopes that maybe the Sunday staff isn't as knowledgeable and helpful as I've come to appreciate. As a side note, we went to the Ace in Lakewood and they were extremely helpful (just as this store usually is...or was) and we left with our item after just a couple minutes. read more

I have been going to this location for years. It seems recently that some of the staff have resorted to making snide political comments on the purchases of certain items. I am not pleased with the politics of this location. I would love to shop in my community without politics being shoved in my face. Found this gem of a hardware store that has EVERYTHING you may need! ACE Hardware in Long Beach on Spring Street. This store reminds me of the old school hardware stores when I was a kid! You could go in and ask a question on how to fix, or what do I need to repair whatever, and there was always someone there who knew, and help!! Going back when I have more time to browse!! I love this place, and all that worked there were so friendly and very helpful! I had been at Lowe's down the street, was there for 45 minutes and no one offered to help, so I ended up buying the wrong outdoor faucet! My new GO TO place!! read more

I have been meaning to write a review of this business for quite some time, but am remembering my visit last week. This store is the best- way better than the "orange" and "blue" stores. Ace Hardware always has helpful, knowledgeable employees throughout the store. They seem to always know where in the store an item is located, and always offer helpful advice and tips for getting the best results. Last week I was working on replacing a faucet and that I had picked the correct adapter to get the job done, but the helpful employee steered me to the actual correct adapter, saving me a return trip. I love this place. They have all the home stuff that no one has. For example, tonight I needed a 1/2 inch grade 8 nylon lock nut. i went to O'Reilly auto parts then home depot then lowes. Amazing. I have not experienced customer service like this in a long, long time. Thank you. I walked in and asked for someone in plumbing, this kid jumped from behind the counter to help me with such energy and enthusiasm. We walked to the plumbing aisle, he tried to find the nut size on the board, when that did not work, he opened a few packages to test them, then quietly went to another aisle and asked another employee who also jumped into action and found this nut all within about 5 minutes. To the kid, you are and will continue to be successful, your attitude and energy are what it takes to be a success. To the store, great job hiring and training great people, which is not easy.
