I had a small fixit list to get- a duplicate house key and a toilet handle, and look at bird seed. When I walked in, I thought an employee was greeting me but it was a man from a solar company. Definitely didn't like that at all. He has a display right past the door. An actual Helpful Hardware Man did greet me when I got past the weird solar display. I asked if they still make keys and he offered to do that for me. He also said he'd come find me when it was ready. A total of 3 employees greeted me while I was shopping. Very helpful! The key was ready quickly, I found the toilet handle and decided not to get the birdseed. At the register was a refridgerator for pies. This was another odd display. The pies were sold out. I noticed more stock throughout the store than a previous visit, different items yet quite a variety for the amount of space they have. I stopped by on 9/24/25 to pick up some washers my husband asked me to purchase for a little project. I tend to get intimidated at home improvement stores because I don't know where to find things and feel completely out of my depth. My experience, however, on this date was really great. A friendly store employee, Scott, likely seeing the mild panic on my face, came over to see how he could help, and was so great about helping me find what I was looking for and ringing me up right away. The map and directions to this Ace Hardware store appears to be incorrect. It provides directions to a Prestige Dental location. The address is correct but the map location is wrong. It sends you to the wrong location. Very frustrating. As far as the store itself, it usually provides excellent service and has an extensive inventory. read more

I went to ACE to pick up a wheelbarrow. They had the best price, so I took a drive 40 minutes from where I lived to go get it. Terresa, the cashier, was so friendly and definitely had an amazing outgoing personality. She used her radio to call Mike (the manager) out from the back of the store so he could go unlock the Wheelbarrow out front. I paid for it, and Mike helped roll it to my car. Once he saw my small car, he knew it wasn't going to fit. He tried, but he was correct. It wouldn't fit. He said he would see if they had one in a box in the back, and I waited. They did not. I asked if he could disassemble it, and he said sure. He got Mark to take care of it and fit in my car. What a wonderful team! They all were great and so accommodating! I am a Navy Veteran. The previous owner of this Ace Store had designated a parking space directly in front of the store as Veterans Only. During COVID it was temporarily designated ACE Customer Pickup Only, then re-designated Veterans Only again post COVID. Then not long after new and current ownership took control a year or so ago the sign was re-designated to ACE Customer Pick Up Only. I spoke with an employee about it questioning why Veterans would be superseded as the Veterans patronizing the store had become accustomed to a very convenient gesture, especially the disabled Veterans. I was told that new ownership had made the decision. I then asked if they would pass on my dismay as to why the change when COVID was no longer an issue. They said they would be glad to, that they see the owner at least once a week. A month or so later I came into the store and asked that employee if they'd had the chance to pass it on. I was told "yes, and he laughed at me." So, to you the owner who purportedly laughed: WOULD YOU HAVE THE BALLS TO LAUGH IN OUR FACES? Do the correct patriotic thing to do: Change it back. As always Renee is the best when it comes to taking care of her customers. I dropped in for a wire grill brush, some apple, and cherry wood chips. She asked me what I was cooking to which she then recommended a new Traeger brand hot sauce. I asked her about certain items not in store and she can order them for you. The hot sauce itself paired really well with Carne Asada and refried beans. I can also see it being a hit with a wet burrito or chicken wings. While most people will go to Ace for tools and hardware, this location also carries a nice selection ball mason jars for canning, bbq grills, accessories, spices, rubs and sauces. On the outside, handicap parking is on the liquor store side. They have curbside and loading only parking up front. Their sidewalk is handicap accessible along with double automated sliding doors. Drop on by and say hi. They are also pet friendly. If you have an emotional support companion or service animal, they are very welcomed. read more

When it comes to getting a key copy made, Ace is the place. I know from first hand experience. This past Saturday, I needed a key copy made for a very important reason. First I had a key copy made at a Walmart One Minute Key Kiosk. If that kiosk has a business listing on Yelp, it will be one star. The comparison to the key copy and the original was like comparing the size of a Corolla to a Camry. Unfortunately I was in a real dilemma. That key copy needed to be immediately. More unfortunately, finding a shop that had a genuine key copy service open on the week seemed almost as realistic as finding a dollar store in the Bellagio. Executing a search on Yelp and the Internet, I found out that the major home improvement chains utilize the same unreliable key copy kiosks as Walmart and that locksmith stores have banker hours. All the locksmiths within the greater area were to reopen on Monday. Ultimately I lucked out with Ace Hardware. It was in Henderson and closed at 7 o' clock. When I called, the polite man on the phone confirmed that a real person made the key. Driving against the afternoon sun glare coming from the west, I pulled into the strip mall at the southeast corner of Stephanie Street and Horizon Ridge Parkway. Inside it was equally sunny. Ace Hardware has that mom and pop vibe that the giant warehouse home improvement chains lack. Walking deeper into the store that has a similar footprint to a Dollar Tree (the Green Valley Shopping Center Dollar Tree used to be an Ace Hardware), I couldn't help but feel that consumers are missing out with the loss of many mom and pop hardware stores. There was a vibe of personal service over being overwhelmed. This gave me the impression that I did not have to go online to read customer reviews on a product and call the product's 1-800 number for additional questions, just like I did recently at Lowes and Home Depot. At a customer service counter in the center of the store, a friendly employee directed me to the backright corner. He phoned the employee working there that I was on my way to have a key copy made. Another friendly employee at the back right corner executed my key copy promptly and reliably. From there I waited in line to pay for the key copy. Speaking of a line, I don't mind waiting a few minutes in back of customers supporting a mom and pop hardware store. In back of me was a Halloween character display. The man at the counter asked me if I had an Ace card before I gave him around $3 for the key copy. That is the same price I paid for the flimflam key copy that the Walmart kiosk sold me. At Ace Hardware, they do not charge a service fee. When I returned home, my key copy was perfect. I was rest assured that when I need a key copy seven days a week that the Stephanie Street at Horizon Ridge Parkway Ace is the Place. read more

So I finally replaced my broken natural gas grill with a new Weber grill and I'm so happy that I bought it at Ace Hardware on Horizon Ridge & Stephanie. I got a great price including free delivery and assembly. I ordered it on-line, selected a good day for delivery and Mark called to tell me he was on his way. I haven't gone into an ace hardware since I was a kid, however got a good deal for a smoker online and had to do a curbside pick up. Long story short, there was a little mix up with the online order and I had to go into the store. The owners Renee and Matt are by far the most accommodating and professional managers, helping me get my product asap. The store itself is very cute, with an array of regulars and smiling assosicates. I only looked at their grill products, but noticed fun items like duck fat spray and a variety of flavored smoker chips. I will definitely go back. read more

Somehow I remembered the experience I had at Ace just a couple weeks ago. I got in my car and drove across town - As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly associate. And, I remember having this thought "why didn't I come here first?" The associate was eager to assist me in solving my problem and took the time fully understand what I was trying to accomplish. I purchased some rubber table leg covers for floor protection. Not sure of exact diameter, so I purchased 2 sizes. Saved my receipt for the eventual return. Went to this location today to return the extras. First question, 'Do you have a receipt?' Yes, here it is. 'Sorry that receipt is past the date of allowable returns' I instead asked for a store credit. Store manager, 'Not allowed with this out of date receipt' Ok fine you win I will leave and never return Btw, does the receipt have an explanation of said return policy? It does NOT! From my viewpoint, this store does not deserve ANY customers if they will deny a return due to a date thats only 3 months old, on a return policy thats not explained or posted, in the store or on the receipt. read more

I liked shopping at this Ace Hardware because of the friendly faces of the staff and ease with which I found items for which I was looking. My view of the place underwent a 180 deg reversal when I made the mistake of purchasing a pricey Traeger grill from them. This particular grill model has some nice electronics that help you control variables such as temperature from the convenience of an app on your phone. My problems began when after a few months, but still under warranty, the electronics failed. First, the power switch died and needed replacement. One would think such a small component would be a cinch to replace. It was not, as it had some complex connections to the other electrical components, some of which also experienced failure. Attempting to get assistance from this store was an exercise in futility. When Traeger customer support notified them that I needed help fixing the electronics, they reported back to me that the store manager was not pleased with sending someone out to fix the problem. So, my wife and I paid a few visits to Ace Hardware to try and motivate a knowledgeable person to honor our warranty. That did not work out either. We found a store employee who was apparently tasked with performing these sorts of repair work, but admitted he was new on the job and knew virtually nothing about our grill. Although he did make a visit to check out our grill, that was it. He studiously avoided contact with us, did not keep his promise to fix the grill, and generally left us hanging. After two months of this nonsense, I decided to fix the electronics myself, using Traeger customer support to guide me. It required all new electronics components from Traeger, which they sent me. It took a few hours of disassembly and assembly and several phone conversations, but I did it. It works fine now. Sorry to say, I have a bad taste in my mouth from this experience. Spending over $1000 for a grill and supplies from this store, and getting such horrendous warranty service (rather, non-service) is insulting. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

The manager, Mike, was very pleasant & set up a convenient Friday morning delivery at NO CHARGE to my home. The unit was delivered as promised, on time & the delivery man was very pleasant. When I signed up for ACE REWARDS, I was given a 10% discount coupon however it was not applicable to this particular purchase. I would however recommend this location as its manager & delivery personnel were so professional & delivered the unit AS PROMISED! So many places promise a certain time frame & show up much later or not until the next day. I think it's very important for the customer to be given reliable information. No one wants to spend an entire day waiting for a delivery man to show up! The price of this unit was also very competitive compared to other stores & the FREE delivery is a real plus!!! This location is superior than the others! Renee is so kind and accommodating! First, I went there after calling on availability for a Traeger grill and confirmed there were 2. But I arrive and sadly there were none in stock. They were so apologetic for the mix-up...the grills on hand were already purchased and waiting to be picked up! So fast forward, Renee took care of me! She did her magic on the computer and checked for availability in the warehouse. In addition, she comped a bag of pellets, threw in an "open box" grill cover and discounted the front shelf. She went above and beyond with her customer service. I ordered 6" clamps for pickup. When I arrived after receiving notification that they were ready, no one really knew whether they'd be up front or in the back. When they finally got them to me they were 4.25 inch clamps. When I told the cashier he barely looked up at me and told me, while looking away, that I should probably talk to the manager. The manager went to go find the correct ones and I guess he realized that the Ace website incorrectly listed the item under the wrong item number. He said he would just cancel the order and sell me the correct size, which were listed in store for twice the price of what they were online! I told them to just cancel the order and forget it. I was left with a very bad taste in my mouth by the disorganization and lack of sincere apology or attempt to make things right. I'm going to stick to my big box hardware stores from now, despite this one literally being walkable. read more

It is so refreshing to go into a small hardware store, and be able to find exactly what you are looking for right away. I don't like wandering around those large stores trying to decipher the signs on the 37 aisles, hoping that what I need can be found. The paint section is a nice size, with plenty of color options. The aisles were orderly and full of product. We were greeted and asked if we needed any help. At the register, we were second in line so they opened another register for us. We signed up for Ace Rewards, because why not. The inside and outside of the store were clean and neat. Everyone was very friendly.
