It has died because they did not remove the old topsoil when the old grass was removed, they just sprinkled a thin layer of home store topsoil on top of the hard, packed clay that was there. They did replace some of the sod but that was dead within 10 days in spite of our sticking to a proper watering schedule. You can peel it up like an area rug and the soil underneath it is rock hard. They charged me $1600 and will not make it right or stand behind their work.

The front office person was very pleasant and helpful, and that part of the experience was great. Unfortunately, the yard crew was difficult to deal with. I accidentally pulled in the exit, apologized, and corrected it, but the employee made a bigger issue out of it than necessary. Then when I picked up my six 2x4x12s, they seemed ready to give me some of the worst boards in the pile. I ended up selecting my own while they stood there staring at me. Better lumber than the big box stores, but the yard customer service needs work.
