They were reasonably priced, did great work, wore masks, did exactly what we agreed to at the exact price. And I was lucky they were able to get started right away. Beautiful floors in time for Christmas.

    Before

They did an amazing job at refinishing the original hardwood floors in my new home! Not only was Brian professional and communicated well, but he also was able to complete the job in a timely manner. Thank you for our beautiful floors!

    The "fixed" floor board

We selected Ace floor care based off of yelp reviews, therefore I feel obligated to share my own non five star experience. I called to get an estimate done to repair and refinish our bamboo hardwood floooring. We were planning on selling our home and didn't want to fork out the cash for all new flooring but wanted our current flooring to look move in ready. We have 2 large dogs who have done quite a number on the floors with their nails over the past 8 years that we have lived here. We also had a few areas where water had leaked and warped the boards before we could fix it and wanted those replaced with some spare boards we had in the garage. And some gaps where the boards had slid apart slightly. So I went on yelp and found Ace. Brian was quick to return my message and scheduled a prompt visit for an estimate. He came and looked at the floors, decided it would be better to glue down and putty the warped boards instead of replacing them due to concern of the new boards matching the worn floor. He would also putty the gaps to make them less noticeable. In his opinion it was not necessary to refinish the floors and that with a good buff and polish they would look easily still useable. He explained that the really deep scratches would still be there but the surface ones would be less noticeable. He also pointed out some trim pieces we were missing which was a great suggestion. Everything sounded good to go. We scheduled for a 2 weeks out with an expected time frame of 4-6 hours for the job. Brian knew we were trying to get the house on the market so when he had an early opening he called and offered it to us. (Even though I'm only giving him 2 stars I will say his communication was very good throughout this process.) Here is where the job went south. First, It should have been a red flag when he called to ask me if I was gonna get the trim pieces or if he should do it. (I'm a working mother of a toddler and a newborn, so no I don't have time or energy to go hunt down a peice of trim to match our floors. I also don't know anything about flooring, that's why we hired you). He shows up day one 10am and glues down the water damaged peice and measures for trim. He then goes to home depot (2 miles away) for 2 hours. Comes back and glues the trim in and then leaves to his other job at 3. confirming he will be back on the original date to do the gaps and buffing. So a week later he arrives at 10, spends until 12 rubbing some putty into the gaps and talking on his phone nonstop and realizes he is only a 16th of the way done and it's a much bigger job than expected so he calls in help and takes another long lunch break. (Apparently he is on island time doing 2 hours work, 2 hour lunch, 2 more hours work) as I was leaving for work his helpers show up. My husband calls me and says "I guess they are done, he will be by after his other job to pick up his equipment and he asked me to drive his workers to the trolley." How unprofessional! I understand you have another job but when you want to own a successful business, you have to make that your priority. And you can not ask your clients to do you favors. And no you can't come by my house late at night to get your equipment when I have 2 protective dogs and 2 sleeping babies. Not professional! Day 3 of the 4-6 hour job, he comes and gets his stuff. I have him come see the finished product and he seems very happy with it... other than being clean our floor looks the exact same, thrashed. It looks just like it does when we mop it ourselves. I explain that it's not what I was expecting and he assures me that it is still in desireable condition. I pay him, only because I'm completely over it at this point, we are on different planets. A week as passed and the floors actually look worse than when he came, the putty filled gaps draw even more attention then they did and the patched spot looks HORRIBLE! He should have just replaced it with peices like we oroginally wanted. Maybe this guy is great at original hardwood repairs but he went all wrong with our bamboo. Normally I would offer him the chance to come fix it before posting a bad review, but we just don't have the patience or time for that. I really wanted to be able to add to his 5 star reviews because he truly is a very nice guy, but between the lack of professionalism, poor judgment calls and island time work ethic he loses 3 stars. He get 1 star for good communication, and 1 star for recommending and installing the trim. I on the other hand just wasted $400.

Brian did a fantastic job refinishing our Oak wood floors...they are original from the 40s and Brian made them look brand new...he also installed new oak flooring in a room we added on...everything matches perfectly. We are extremely happy with the work done and would recommend to anyone!

We received 5 referrals from Yelp. Four of those were either…read moreout of our service Area, or didn't do the type of project we needed. Only one, Dasani's, came through for us BIG TIME!! We recieved a reasonable quote to have our shower refinished and another shower "fixed" after a very bad attempt to refinish that shower ourselves, which actually made us both ill from the paint fumes. It was a very difficult job. The Company sent Rennie, who showed up 10 minutes early and was ready to go to work! He not only correct the sad job we did, and made it beautiful, but he did a stellar refinish job one the other shower. As you can see in the pictures below, their work is impeccable!! We are so pleased and can't recommend Dasani's Company Tub & Tile Refinishing enough! If you ever need a refinish on your tub or tile call Dasani's - you will be glad you did!!

We have not dropped anything on this spot to create a chip. David came back to look at it and said accidental damage was not covered in his guarantee/warranty, even though I explained my care and lack of dropping things on the surface. He said he would get a quote for the chip as well as another chip he found. Because I pressed, saying I didn't cause the damage and it should be covered, he said they would touch up the paint while they were already here and didn't charge me. I asked Sofia if I could get the name, color, and finish info of the touch up paint so I could have some on hand in case this happens again, but she said it was a licensed product unavailable to laypeople and recommended I cover it with white nail polish. So now I just have to hope and pray that nothing else happens to the tubs because I don't feel confidence that they'll cover it. They said accidental damage doesn't mean it was caused by me, but apparently it's still not covered in the warranty?? I am leaving some stars on my review because the initial work looked good, and David did work very hard. But if I was looking for a company to do a great job AND for the work to last, then I'm afraid I cannot recommend this company. Initial Review: David was so kind and thorough. He had to use a LOT of elbow grease to scrape off our old paint that a previous owner applied terribly. David updated me throughout and was up front about additional cost to add nonslip surface. The new tubs are so sparkly and shining! I got a quick response on Yelp communication, though I did not receive any reminder or instructions for how to prepare my bathroom prior to his visit.

Stepping out from the corn field and into my life.... First came Rhonda Bathington - the customer service extraordinaire with all the answers to life's great questions. A quick call, some photos of our forlorn tub, and like the sun bursting through the clouds, a quote appeared in my inbox. A gleam of hope. She would send her best man the very next day! Enter Dario Tubland - a man so skilled you'd wonder if he was once an apprentice to the most revered sushi chef in Tokyo (Jiro Ono). He denies, but I remain skeptical. With all his ability, he still finds time to be polite and courteous, taking a moment to great my furry friend. He explained everything very well and even brought to my attention the poorly installed overflow drain cover and showed me what it would take to fix it. I'll tell my wife that it was I who noticed this error, but she'll have her doubts... As you can tell I've never gotten over my childhood dream of being a weirdo, but in all seriousness this company was a dream to work with. I peeked into the bathroom after the first day and everything was very neatly taped off. + Quick estimate, general responsiveness. + Timely, always showed up right around when they said they would. Neutral/Negative -- - Overall I was only just satisified with the result. The finish near/beneath the tile surround was left noticeably pock-marked in places. Some spots extend far enough out from the tile that they're hard to conceal with caulk. The bottom of the tub was also left with weirdly deep divots in places. Other parts of the tub came out fine so I wonder if this was less a materials/equipment issue and more a problem of technique from a less experienced technician. While I mainly spoke to Lionel he wasn't the one who did the actual work. - Did a fairly rushed job of recaulking the gap between the tub and surround. Bugged me to where I eventually scraped it all out and redid it myself. - Theirs was one of the pricier estimates I received. Based on the positive reviews I was hoping they would do an immaculate job but honestly the company I used to refinish the tub the first time produced a better result for less money. - Despite the affected area being limited to the tub bottom, they went ahead and refinished the entire tub. If you're seeking spot refinishing/repair there are probably better options out there. Again, the work's fine for what it is, just be aware that their estimates come in on the high side and there's nothing special I can see about their workmanship.
