I was referred by my friend to ace dental for a broken tooth. they were able to get me in the same day. upon my arrival i was greeted with smiles and from the front staff. the girls up front were so helpful and explained everything before my appointment. I was taken back for x rays and evaluation with the doctor and was explained everything by the treatment guy MARK, who was super sweet and funny, and understanding. The staff here at Ace Dental are very friendly and knowledgeable and make sure to explain everything, which really helps for dental chickens like me. Especially Neff, who explains every single detail of what's going on as she works on you, and checks to see if you're ok every step of the way. She is a literal angel. Dr Kim has a very gentle hand and I have entrusted my whole mouth to him during my dental journey. He is soothing and calm and very good at what he does. Even the most painful parts he has a gentle and clever way to make it less stressful and less painful. He is also an angel. The office is cute and comfortable. I'm honestly not sure what I paid for. Normally, a proper cleaning includes both manual scaling and ultrasonic tools--but here, they skipped the machine entirely and just poked around with basic tools. That's it. It felt rushed, incomplete, and frankly lazy. There was zero attention to detail, and I walked out feeling like nothing had actually been cleaned. Went in for my checkup and cleaning on my first visit. I had not seen the dentist in a long time and was a bit nervous. From the minute I walked into the office I was greeted by the front office staff, with a smile and hello. And I was assured my appointment will be smooth. I'm not a fan of going to the dentist that's for sure. Waiting room was clean and pleasant with a fish tank and coffee bar. I was taken back for Xrays with the doctors' assistant. She was extremely sweet and gentle. She let me know the doc was going to come in and examine my teeth and Xrays as he did. The doc came in checked me for cavities and the health of my gums. I had a filling that needed to get replaced and needed a cleaning. All was done and got my 6 month appointment. Thank you all at Ace you were awesome. read more

I was referred to Ace Dental Group in Long Beach to do implants on my two front teeth. Dr. Fahkari is the surgeon working on my implants and Dr. Hashimi taking care of my crowns. They're top professionals in my opinion, perhaps the best in their fields since, up to that point, I have met and consulted with numerous surgeons and dentists for my dental issues. Behind these doctors is a great group of technical and management staff, who gave patients excellent support, and very invested in patients' care and their happy smiles. Some individuals worth mentioning include James, who's always patient in very difficult situations, and Marc who made possible financial arrangements that otherwise would have been impossible. It's been a long process getting three implants and four crowns. There's still work to be done, but I have a lot of confidence that I will be a happy patient. read more

I've been trying to reach this office every day for over a week to schedule a simple cleaning since they're my assigned dentist but I haven't been able to get ahold of anyone and haven't received a call back. My husband and I were assigned to this dental office by our insurance, and after talking to Sharae on the phone and checking out their reviews, we were pleased. When we visited on Friday, however, our experience was less than satisfactory. James and Sharae were wonderful by the way, so this review isn't about them. The second star is for James and Sharae actually, because they were stars! After filling out paperwork, we waited a while until we were invited back to receive services. Wait times are obviously expected, but we waited half an hour until we were given x-rays and then waited another 20 minutes after that to be seen by the hygienist, who only popped in to let us know the dentist would be there shortly. After another 10 minutes of waiting, the dentist came in (idk his name because he didn't give it, but he was an older man). The dentist checked our x-rays and looked inside our mouths, decided we needed a deep cleaning, and left. He was there for less than three minutes. We thought we'd be receiving cleanings afterwards, but Marc (a hygienist? An administrative assistant? An office salesperson? We weren't made aware of his job title) came in to tell us that since the dentist said we both needed deep cleanings, we would need to spend $1,000 after insurance to get any service at all. I asked if we could just receive regular cleanings before we went home to discuss the deep cleanings (which neither of us have ever needed, but that's beside the point) but Marc in the Givenchy glasses and Panerai watch told us that would be like "putting a bandage on a wound that needs stitches" and stressed that we both NEEDED deep cleanings and that they didn't want to do a regular cleaning because the office would be "liable" for something (we weren't made to understand what that means). Marc did give us the option to sign a waiver saying we acknowledged we had gum disease (news to me!) but we were so overwhelmed and disappointed by that point that we decided to decline any services and leave. Needless to say, we will be finding a new dentist's office that offers basic cleanings, as we expected to have received when we visited Ace Dental, not a shakedown for money we don't have (and we plainly told Marc that we didn't have). Husband here! I'm adding my bit. We are both ~30 with no cavities and no wisdom teeth. Do not come here unless you want to spend money on top of basic insurance. I was kept separate from my wife when being told the financial news by Marc -- we first spoke together about "the offer" after making it outside. Plainly put, we did not get basic service and we had to uncomfortably excuse ourselves from a weird dynamic where only our money is on the line. As a note, I feel as though Marc was more interested in finding out where my accent is from than my dental health (my accent is from England by the way, same as me! Seems irrelevant though -- I speak the language and I am not at the dentist to entertain you). Thanks and have a nice one! read more

I tend to get very nervous when it comes to dental appointments. The environment was very calm and no one seemed to be in a rush to get you out. X-Rays are done in the same room you are put in. Which was pretty cool. The staff and Dentist Narmina Rasulova are very patient. She does inform you throughly on what needs to get done on your teeth. Terrible first impression, I will NOT be returning here! I was so disappointed for not even being able to get a cleaning, let alone cavities filled, or crowns replaced. I was not about to let them touch my mouth any further! I ONLY let them do my xrays, because they could barely even do that. The xray tech was completely inexperienced and literally kept repeating, "ugh, I don't know," which was obvious since she kept whining as she struggled to take the xrays the whole time. Another person kept having to step in to assist and ended up finishing the xrays for her, but thanks to him because he saved me from further unnecessary xray exposure! The dentist seemed knowledgeable and experienced once she finally saw me, but when she asked the xray tech to take photos of certain teeth: she struggled with the device, ended up taking photos of the wrong teeth, and then admitted she took photos of the wrong teeth after the dentist called her out on it. So the same person who helped with the xrays had to step in, again, and take the teeth photos. I was so embarrassed for her! Then there was the unprofessional front desk staff who kept gossiping and laughing the whole time, which I could very clearly hear since there are no doors to each "patient room." This was the most unprofessional dental experience I've ever had, and I've had a lot of work done over my lifetime. I was desperately waiting to leave as soon as I got the quote, and gave them a BS reason as to why I could not proceed with even a cleaning that same day.
