I really am not certain that I have enough words to express how EXTREMELY satisfied I am with the recovery of my data from Ace Data Recovery. I had previously had my hard drive recovery failed by DriveSavers in California but then send it to Ace and they recovered the majority of my hard drive. I can't explain the technical side of what happened to my hard drive, but they were the only place who had the engineers to fix the problem and recover my data. Sure it was expensive but every single data recovery company is expensive, and it was more than worth it. They promised 50-60% of my data and I am certain I received more than that back. What caused me so many tears, Ace was able to recover. I highly recommend this company to ANYONE who needs recovery services, and am also contacting my local computer repair location who recommended DriveSavers and express how much they should ACTUALLY be pushing Ace. We had a nightmare scenario where we were moving our company. All of our company data was backed up on the server hard drive ( I have since learned that this was a terrible idea on my part to not have an external backup). When we unloaded the computers at our new location - alas - the server would not start - the hard drive had crashed! The last external backup we had was from a month prior. I really got in trouble when I accidentally stepped on with my external hard drive that was lying on the floor. (I am from Houston, not San Fran) Short version - ACE Data Recovery is THE place to go for damaged/broken technology! Long version - My thumb drive broke, and of course, I hadn't backed it up in a couple of months. I needed my data recovered, and quickly. Micro Center told me the data couldn't be recovered, and two other places I called would need to mail the device out of state for assessment and repair (if possible), taking at least a couple of weeks. Then thankfully I found ACE Data Recovery online and drove straight to their office. Lost a 1TB external hard drive due to mechanical writer malfunction. Sent the drive to the so called "highest rated" drive savers on the internet. My drive was returned and the report from their "technicians" said the entire drive was unrecoverable. Had it shipped back to me. Started a deeper search for recovery firms and found ACE. Sent the drive to them. Initial recovery estimates from their technicians, without quotations mind anyone reading this, was 40 to 60 percent. I instructed them to proceed. There were literally hundreds of thousands of files and tens of thousands family photos. Forty to sixty percent was going to be great compared to a complete loss. Six business days later I received the report saying ALL files except 3, THREE!, had been recovered. I would have paid 2x the amount for that recovery. There is no comparison in my experience. My computer crashed, I thought that I had been diligent about backing it up to a portable hard drive, but apparently it had failed as well. After a web search, Ace Recovery had good reviews as well as a location in Houston, not too far away. I went in and met with Nik, he opened up my computer and confirmed that the hard drive had failed. About a day later I received a call and the good news is that they could recover most of my data. I was surprised by the price, but considering the years of data and pictures, books and audio files, it was worth the cost. Nik provided an external hard drive with all my files and advised that I copy it to another hard drive. He also gave me some tips about putting the files onto my new computer. I highly recommend this company. They restored critical data on a hard drive I had neglected to back up in a timely manner. I used their emergency service as I needed access to the data quickly and the restoration was completed within 8 hours of drop off. Their customer service was excellent. As expected, emergency service is expensive but you get what you pay for. I am also following their advice regarding backup methods to avoid this sort of problem in the future. I recently used ACE Data Recovery (ADR) to recover 11 GB data from a Sea Gate external Hard Drive. The were recommended to me by a large box computer store. These folks are awesome!! They provided a cost free diagnosis and cost estimate. After approximately 5 business days they sent me an email with 2 files; 1 with a list of recovered data (99%) and a second file listing the non recoverable files. ADR recovered 99.9% of my data!!!
