    Joe Hudson's Collision Center

I scheduled a repair for my Toyota Highlander months in advance. When I called to confirm my…read moreappointment, I found out the shop was under a new name and new management. Joe Hudson's Collision Center, the new company) introduced me to the stellar customer service provided by the Shop Manager, Billy, and the Office Manager, Madison, and the body techs and painter who took care of my SUV. When I dropped my vehicle off on September 11th, my rental car company was extremely late picking me and several other customers up to transport to the rental office. Madison called repeatedly to get them to show up, but the didn't. They even got upper management involved to try to help us out. It was simply out of our hands--or so I thought. Billy took charge of the situation and loaded me and my child into his car and took us himself! He was really nice, friendly, had a good sense of humor, so the frustration I felt with the rental company was greatly alleviated by him (and he was a safe driver so we were in good hands). The repair I needed was supposed to take a week, but we all got caught in the middle of the autoworkers strike so everything moved at a snail's pace. NOT THE FAULT OF JOE HUDSON'S at all! My insurance agent was having a similar problem with her car, so we just had bad timing. I was the standard anxious customer--calling constantly to see if I needed to extend my rental. Each time, Madison was polite, professional, and treated me like my vehicle was a priority. I noticed she treated every customer who came through the door with kindness and respect. She explained how my repairs were itemized on my invoice and, when I picked up my truck, they'd also gone the extra mile and detailed it for me. I was also able to drop my rental at Joe Hudson's and they delivered it to the rental company. Saved me a headache of figuring out how to make it happen, so I was grateful that was an option. Everything I was worried about or stressed about, they handled and handled smoothly. I don't anticipate needing more vehicle repairs (who does?) but, if I do, this shop is where my family will bring our cars. They keep their word and they do honest business. I respect quality & integrity, so Joe Hudson's Collision Repair in Ballentine is it for me!

So, I went into the Joe Hudson Collision Center in Ballentine SC, thinking it was still Ballentine…read moreCollison, to find out it had been sold. I said ok, can you guys give me an estimate on fixing my daughters 2016 Toyota Rav4 that had been backed into. This was going to be an out of pocket payment. The guy was happy to work it up. The passenger door had been backed into and had a dent into it and the mirror was busted. The front fender was scratched, and I told him, not to worry about that, that I was not concerned about it. He just kept writing everything up. After he wrote it up, he gave me the estimate, and said they could start that day if I was ready. I saw that he had the front fender on it and told him that I did not want that done. He said they had to do it in order to warranty the work. I told him I was not concerned with that, and he said they could not do anything about it, it was corporate that states that have to do it. Just fixing that fender scratch was $400. I put the car in the shop and told them to proceed. I picked up the vehicle the following week and it looked ok. Not great, but ok. The mirrow was not fixed, they tried to keep the old cover on it, but I found it and pointed it out to them and they said, oh yeah, its on back order, once it gets in, they will put it on. I said ok. I took the car and started up to Clemson to take my daughter her car. While on I26, in heavy traffic and the construction zone, the car dies on me. I turn my right turn sign on, coming back into the right lane, and it just dies. Barries on both sides of me, no shoulder to pull onto, semi truck barrelling up behind me, nowhere to go. Car dies right in the middle of the road. I am stuck. Put the car back in park in the travel lane, turn the ignition, and it starts right up. I drive up, maybe a 100 yards and turn my turn signal on again and it dies again. Luckily this time, there is a shoulder. I was able to get the car home, and I just figure it was a bad battery. I go get a new battery, change it out, and set off again. I come out of our neighborhood and make a right turn, using the turn signal, and the car dies. I go straight to the Joe Hudson Collison center and explain it to the. They start pulling panels from the interior of the car checking the connections and everything. There is two guys out there working on it. 30 minutes later, the pull the right front fender off and there are two wires that they did not connect back together and was causing the vehicle to ground out. It was not the battery at all. The old battery was just a year old. I asked if I could be reimbursed for the battery, and it has fallen on death ears. They know that they are wrong, but they refuse to reimburse. I have supplied them with the receipt, and they have seen both the old and new battery. They know that once you connect a battery, you cannot return them. Whatever you do, DO NOT USE JOE HUDSON COLLISON CENTER IN BALLENTION SC. They try to rip you off and over charge and do work you do not want done.

Marah is nice, I like her btw! Before and after pics just so you see how much damage was caused by the deer. Time frame unjustifiable. Caused me way more money for rental. "Paint" peeling after 5 months inexcusable!

Please do yourself a favor. Read the reviews…read more Original estimate was $2000 for a simple cash out of pocket bumper replacement. Vehicle was hit from behind at stop. No big deal right? When I picked up my vehicle...5 weeks later. My bill was $2300. I was informed it was a mandatory "scan" charge by Caliber. ??? Yes, I paid it just to get my car back at this point. When I questioned them on why it wasn't on original, they couldn't answer my simple question. hmmm I had items in the trunk of my vehicle and wanted to ensure they were still there. Trunk lid would not close. Supervisor had to come out pull it back into bay to adjust. Again, inconvenience but let me just get out of here. When I actually looked over my vehicle in my driveway. I realized the trunk lid was not level. Left side sat below quarter panel. Right side was over quarter panel. Posted in pics. At that time, I realized the paint didn't even match. Isn't this the most important part of a body repair??? It started to make sense that someone knew the paint did not match. When I picked up my vehicle, my car was the only vehicle which was backed into the parking space. All others were front faced. Interesting huh??? They knew that I would have noticed, or anyone would have noticed the paint did not match for that matter. Extremely obvious in pics provided. Quality control is nonexistent.
