Ron Hall’s Service Center - This is how dirty my AC filter was.

In this day and age finding a repair place that is 100% honest is extremely rare. Ron Hall is the…read morereal deal. I surprised I have not done this before, as we have gone to Ron Hall for years. This particular review deals with our latest experience. We went to a car dealership for my daughter's car a few weeks ago, mostly because Ron Hall was backed up. After spending almost $600 fixing the car, the dealership hit us with 3 additional repairs they said needed to be done: power steering leak, radiatior leak, and rear differential leak. The cost was over $2000. Today, Ron Hall looked at it and ran some diagnostics. He said it was more of an ooze on the power steering and they could not find a single cooling system leak or rear differential leak. In the end, he added some fluid to stop the leak and did not charge to examine the car. This is not the first time either. A few years back, my wife had an issue that turned out to be a fuse. Ron told her he could not charge her for replacing a fuse. We have taken all of our cars here and have always been treated fairly. The only thing I hate about giving this type of review is if too many of you see it and start frequenting, making it harder for me to get in. But I feel excellence has to be rewarded. Kudos Ron & family.

Warranty issues may be a factor also if closure occured.I would seek and have sought out other reputable services I know will be open in the future. I have found an A1 service in White bluff named ALL ROADS AUTO who will now serve as my mechanic for my old vehicles. Everyone else should consider these good people also.

The gentleman at the counter asked if I had an appointment, of course I didn't, he said it would be an hour and a half before they could get me in and wouldn't be long after that to have my oil change complete. The waiting area was pretty comfortable with a TV and complementary coffee. Almost to the minute, two hours after I arrived the mechanic came into the waiting room and told me I was ready to go. I was happy that as most places usually try to Up Sell you with everything from Tires, Break Job to a Front End Alignment, I was not subjected to the High Pressure Sales Pitch.

I had a lengthy, multi week and multi visit experience that is too long to put here. The main point…read moreis they are incredibly bad at communicating, don't seem to take responsibility for anything, and want to do the absolute bare minimum and have to be pushed to do their job. The manager seems like he should not be dealing with customers. A few lowlights: Picked a few things that needed to be repaired but did not end up fixing the original problem despite saying nothing else was wrong, then eventually telling me there was an additional $2700 worth of repairs (that mechanic is apparently no longer there) Kept my car for 4 days without telling me the person who could look at it wasn't going to be there during that time, seemingly did not install the bolts well on my breaks because one of the caliper bolts fell out (did not even apologize) and left off the engine splash guard only to finally put it back on with zip ties.
