I won't be too hard on Accurate because they did fix our transmission at the end of the day. I would like to give a 3.5 but it isn't available. The worst part about our experience with Accurate is that they did not listen to what we were asking them to repair. We understand that mechanics have to get their own diagnostics but we took it to the dealership AND another reputable service center and both places gave us the same reading (many repair shops including dealer won't work on transmissions). Accurate decided to do what they wanted, most likely to save $$ on their end. Then William, who takes the calls, got an attitude with me after Accurate had our car for 2 months, when I asked when we could expect our car back. I will say, Accurate ended up paying for our rental car which was a huge help after paying $3k to get our transmission fixed. I have a 2017 Silverado and recently I began to get transmission service messages that would pop up, but then go away? The Dealer couldn't see me for over a month, so I brought it to the Accurate Transmission Team, who diagnosed the problem - No Charge! Unfortunately it is an issue that requires the Dealer (computer problem), but the guys coached me through the problem and what to say to the Dealer. If you have any transmission issues/concerns, I would definitely recommend calling Accurate. read more

My car has been there since last week. Apparently they can't diagnose what the issue is. The person I spoke to says that a pressure test was done and it's not holding pressure. Told me something about there was loose metal peices in the pan. Said that it's giving some kind of code for the transmission but is telling me he hasn't experienced an issue. Telling me that they're not sure if it's an issue with the transmission or not? Please Make It Make SENSE! SMH Trying so hard not be a Karen. I can't make this stuff up. read more

I had my transmission recently repaired and noticed I had transmission fluid leaking o. The ground. I took my truck to Accurate to have it check for any minor or major repairs. Mike checked the truck and found a few loose fittings and tightened them. The fix was really quick and the service was first class. William and Mike are really friendly and offer great customer service. Wouldn't dream of taking it anywhere else with this type of service. Tried starting my 2005 Honda Pilot last week one day after putting in a new battery, and a horrid noise came from my engine, then saw a metal ring rolling down my drive way...Initially thinking this was going to be a super expensive repair or a new car payment, I got towed to Accurate Transmission. William knew what the part was almost immediately. I expressed my frustration at having just put in a new battery and the fact that I needed new tires. He supported my idea to walk over to O'Reilly's to buy the part. Called me a few hours later to give me the labor cost...I was expecting $300 BEST case scenario. Was horrified of 500+ after reading online....Called me up and did the work for $170. The Black Pearl is running like a champ now. Will definitely be going back for any future repairs! read more

I don't usually write reviews but really wanted to show my appreciation for a job well done. I waited a few weeks after getting my car repaired to make sure it continued to run well before writing a review about it. I kept waiting for it to struggle up a hill as it did before, but it is running smoothly. Accurate Transmissions in Durham was a little out of my way, but they came highly recommended. I have an older model Honda and was afraid that my car had completely died and that I would have to buy another car, for which I didn't want to have a car payment. The mechanic (and I believe the owner) offered to have me towed. He told me some other things needed repaired along with the transmission work. I knew that his assessment was authentic because he didn't want to take a chance on making some of the other repairs himself, so I knew he wasn't trying to sell those repairs to me. My Honda is running great! I'm so excited that I took a chance to have my car repaired and didn't give up hope on it. It was a much better option having the transmission repairs instead of having another car payment, or forking out cash on another car. Accurate Transmissions also kept me current on the repair process. I highly recommend this shop. read more
